Description
Die vorliegende Erfin dung will diesen Nachteil beseitigen.
Fuel valve for combustion engines working with ignition and fuel. The invention relates to a fuel valve for internal combustion engines working with ignition and propellant fuel. In the previously known fuel valves of this type, the pilot fuel on the inlet side of the valve is upstream of the fuel under high pressure in such a way that
that when the valve is opened, the fuel is propelled through the injection openings. That has. the disadvantage that the pilot fuel mixes with the propellant fuel, which reduces its ignition effect. The present invention aims to eliminate this disadvantage.
According to the invention, the pilot fuel supply line is brought into connection with the outlet side of the valve, bypassing the pressure chamber and the seat of the valve. The purpose of this is to pre-inject the pilot fuel into the combustion chamber through the same injection openings as the fuel while avoiding mixing with the fuel. The pilot fuel supply line can be guided through a valve needle into the space between the valve after the injection openings.
It is expediently connected to the sliding surfaces of the valve guide so that it is lubricated with pilot fuel.
An embodiment of the subject invention is shown in section on the drawing.
a is the valve housing, b the valve needle, c the valve guide, d the valve seat, e the fuel feed line, f the pilot fuel feed line and g are the injection openings of the fuel valve of a compressorless single-injection engine that works with pilot and fuel. The propellant fuel feed line opens into the pressure chamber la from the valve seat, and the injection of the propellant fuel is controlled by the valve needle.
In contrast, the pilot fuel supply line, bypassing space h and the valve seat, opens directly into space i between the valve and the injection openings g. At the end it is formed as a longitudinal bore k extending through the valve needle, which is in open connection with the remaining part of the supply line through the transverse bores l and the groove.
This enables the pilot fuel to be injected into the combustion chamber through the same openings as the fuel while avoiding mixing with the propellant, which would impair its ignition effect.
In addition, the risk of the valve getting stuck is also considerably reduced, since the valve is smeared by the considerably cleaner pilot fuel instead of the propellant fuel. It is best to use a special ignition fuel pump for the pilot fuel.
