Speeding counter. The subject of the invention is an over-speed counter. It has a counter, which is switched one step further each time a certain speed limit of a speedometer is exceeded, as well as a counter, which is connected to a clockwork for the duration of each speed limit, for the purpose of determining the number of speed over- to be able to determine transgressions as well as the entire duration of the same.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject invention is Darge = represents.
Fig. 1 and 2 show the same in side view; Fig. 3 is a vertical section on the line HI-III of Fig. 2, and Figs. 4 and 5 each show a detail. It denotes 1 the pointer axis of a speedometer not explained in detail here.
A disc 2 is firmly seated on the same, which has a driver pin 3 which protrudes into one of the holes 3 'arranged concentrically to the pointer axis' of a detachable non-circular disc 4 pushed onto the disc hub 2' so that the same rotates when the pointer axis rotates . The disc hub 2 'carries, non-rotatably connected to it by the pin 3, a roller which is held by a screw nut 6 on the disc hub 2' and on which a helical spring 7 is wound at one end, the other end at one on the board 8 arranged pin (not shown) engages.
The spring 7 strives to always keep the pointer axis in its zero position. The non-circular disk 4 has a cutout 4 'with an inclined transition 4 "from the larger to the smaller diameter. A rocker 11, influenced by a spring 10, rests on the circumferential surface of the circular disk 4 with an arm 12. On the axis of rotation 13 of the rocker 11 sits a gear 14 which meshes with a toothed drive 15, which receives its drive from a clockwork not shown in the drawing.
Furthermore, a gear 17 mounted on the arm 16 of the rocker meshes with the gear 14. With the gear 14, a worm 18 is connected, which acts through the intermediary of a gear 19 on a shaft 20 which drives an hour counter, not shown in the drawing. On vain the speed of the shaft to be measured correspondingly driven shaft 21 sits loosely rotatably a gear 22, on the hub 23 of which a disk 24 is fixed, which carries a pawl 25. The pawl 25 is resiliently pressed against the shaft 21, which has a longitudinal notch 26 with which the pawl 25 is in engagement, if it is not prevented from doing so.
If the pawl 25 is in engagement with the notch 26, the gear 22 is coupled to the shaft 21. The toothed wheel 22 meshes with a toothed wheel wedge 27 which is connected to a worm 28. The same is connected to a gear wheel 30 through the intermediary of a gear wheel 29, which is rigidly connected to the single-counting disc 31 of the excess counter mechanism 31, 32, 33, 34, 35.
On its end face opposite the gear wheel 30, the single counting disk has two pins 36 next to one another which, with each revolution of the single counting disk 31, have the numbers 0, 1, 2 .... 9 on their circumference, a toothed wheel 37 do a step turn. The toothed wheel 37 sits loosely rotatable on an axle 38 and engages with the drive pin 39 of the decimal disk 32 so that the same is also rotated purely by one step when the single counting disk has made rapid rotation.
As the one-counting disc 31 acts on the ten-counting disc 32, the same acts with each rotation on the hundreds counting disc 33, this on the thousands counting disc 34 and the latter on the counting-thousands counting disc 35 with the mediation of a toothed wheel 40 respectively. -11, 42. The cogwheels 37, 40, 41, 42 are secured against unintentional rotation on their common axis 38 with one pawl 43 each.
In the position of the rocker 11 shown in FIG. 1, in which the arm 12 rests on the larger circumference of the disk 4, there is a pin 44 projecting outside the disk 24 from the pawl 25 towards the gear 22 a stop 46 arranged on an arm 45 of the rocker 11, by means of which the pawl 25 is kept outside engagement with the indentation 26. The shaft 21 can therefore not take the gear 22 with it.
When a certain speed is exceeded, the pointer axis 1 rotates so far in the direction of the arrow in Fig. 1 that the cutout 4 'of the non-circular disk 4 reaches the arm 12 of the rocker 11, so that the latter swing into the position shown in Fig. 2 can, in which a stop 47, which is arranged on an arm 48 of the rocker 11, is located in the area of the pin 44. As a result, the pawl 25 is disengaged from the notch 26 again as long as the overspeed continues.
The gear 22 can therefore for the time being only half a turn and the single counting disc 31 connected to the same only half a step.
At the moment in which the rocker 11 reaches the position shown in FIG. 2, the gear 17 comes into engagement with a gear 49, which drives a toothed drive 52 loosely rotatable on the shaft 20 through a worm gear 50, 51 which acts on a gear 54 through an intermediate gear 53. The same sits loosely rotatable on the shaft 55 on which the counting disks 31 ... 35 are also arranged.
With your gear 54 the egg nerzählscheibe 56 of the exceedance hour counter 56, 57, 58, 59 is rigidly connected. The same counting disks act as with the excess counter with each revolution on the next following (higher) counting disk. The drive of the exceedance hour counter he follows from the clockwork as long as the overspeed lasts, that is, as long as the arm 12 in the cutout 4 'of the non-circular disk 4 is all of this.
If the speed of the drive shaft decreases, the pointer axis 1 rotates back with the round disk 4. If the arm 12 comes to rest against the larger circumference, that is to say outside the cutout 4 ', the rocker 11 swings back into the position shown in FIG. The stop 47 releases the pawl 25, which again engages with the notch 26 until it is disengaged by the stop 46 after half a turn. The gear 22 consequently executes the second half revolution and the single counting disk 31 executes the second half of the step, which indicates a speed exceeded.
The process described is repeated each time a speed limit determined by the position of the non-circular disk 4 relative to the pointer axis 1 is exceeded. If the same is to be changed, this can be done by the fact that after loosening the screw nut 6 and loosening the roller 5 and the non-circular disk 4 from the pin 3, the latter is rotated to the disk by the desired amount and the Connection between parts 2, 4, 5 and 6 is restored.
The switching of the Eirrerzäh (disk 31 of the exceedance counter could be done with the help of a shift mechanism from the rocker 11, instead of by means of a gear drive; or the clockwork, which operates the exceeding hour counter, could also be used for switching from the pointer axis, whenever the speed is exceeded Furthermore, an electromagnet could be used for this purpose, which is switched on and off, for example, by an electrical contact arranged on the pointer.
