Description
Table for electric resistance oven. The object of the present invention is a panel for an electric resistance furnace, which comprises a metal frame inside which is mounted a transformer with several connections by means of which the voltage at the terminals of the furnace can be varied. We will preferably use an autotransformer whose connections will lead to jacks in which is inserted a plug connected- CI . one of the poles of the oven.
An embodiment of a furnace according to the invention, given by way of example, is shown in the accompanying drawing.
The, fig. 1 is a side view, showing a section through the axis of the first jack; the fi-. 2 is a horizontal section along the line I-I of FIG. 1; the. fig. 3 is the diagram of the table shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
a is a metal frame placed on a base b and covered by a plate c in which the openings necessary for the introduction of an ammeter d and a bipolar switch e are provided. On the front face of the switchboard are provided five jacks f to which lead wires taken in tap-off on the rolling of an autotransformer placed there in the bottom of the switchboard. A 1z plug ends a cord i which is connected to one terminals carried by the strip k, terminals to which the wires also end; carrying the current and those going to the oven.
Fuses 1 are also provided on the front of the switchboard.
We see in the diagram of FIG. 3 that the current, after passing through the fuses, the am per meter and the bipolar switch, is conducted through the autotransformer, of which a greater or lesser number of turns can be used as secoii = winding to feed the oven.
