Description

  

  Verfahren zur Verhütung von Korrosionen und     Kesselsteinbildung     in     Wärmeaustauschvorrichtungen.       Um Korrosionen in Dampfkesseln, Kon  densatoren und dergleichen zu. verhindern,  werden nach der sogenannten     Cumberland-          Anordnung    in der     Wärmeaustauschvorrich-          tung    von dieser isolierte Elektroden ange  bracht, deren negativer Pol unmittelbar mit  dem Kessel verbunden wird. Durch diese An  ordnung     wird    gleichzeitig     verhindert,    dass sich  die Bildner des Kesselsteines zu einer kom  pakten     brasse    verbinden.

   Die Ablagerung  des Kesselsteines geschieht bei Anwendung  des Verfahrens als leicht zu beseitigender  Schlamm. Die Anordnung von elektrisch gut  isolierten Elektroden in der Wärmeaustausch  vorrichtung, welche auch völlig dampf- und  wasserdicht sein muss, verursacht ziemlich er  hebliche praktische Schwierigkeiten und führt  leicht zu Betriebsstörungen infolge von     Un-          dichtheiten.     



  Versuche haben nun ergeben, dass eine An  bringung von isolierten Elektroden innerhalb  der zu schützenden Kessel, Kondensatoren  oder dergleichen gar nicht notwendig ist,    wenn die     Wärmeaustauschvorrichtung    un  mittelbar mit dem negativen Pol einer Gleich  stromquelle verbunden     wird,    während der po  sitive Pol irgendwo ausserhalb der Vorrich  tung an eine von dieser und ihren Rohrleitun  gen isoliert angeordnete Elektrode angeschlos  sen     wird.     



  Diese Elektrode     wird    von dem Wasser  benetzt, das mit dem in der     betreffenden    Vor  richtung befindlichen in Verbindung steht.  Diese Elektrode kann in dem Speisewasser  behälter, Sammelbehälter, Bach, Teich oder  dergleichen, aus welchem der Kessel oder  Kondensator gespeist wird, angeordnet sein  und kann aus einem Blech, Rohr oder einem  andern geeigneten metallenen Gegenstand be  stehen.  



  In der     beiliegenden        Zeichnung    ist eine  Ausführungsform der Anordnung mit dem  Anschluss des     positiven    Pols dargestellt.  



  Gemäss dem in     Fig.    1 gezeichneten Aus  führungsbeispiel ist angenommen, dass das  Wasser aus einem Behälter     ca    in das zu schüt-           zende    Gefäss I geschafft wird und dieser Be  hälter     a    aus einem Material hergestellt ist,  welches an sich elektrisch nicht leitend ist.  In diesem Falle wird die positive Elektrode b  in die in dem Behälter a enthaltene Flüssig  keit eingesetzt und überdies noch eine zweite  Elektrode c, welche durch Vermittlung des  zu schützenden Gefässes mit dem negativen  Pol der Gleichstromquelle d verbunden wird.

  Tests have now shown that an attachment of insulated electrodes within the boiler, capacitors or the like to be protected is not necessary at all if the heat exchange device is connected directly to the negative pole of a direct current source, while the positive pole is somewhere outside the device device is ruled out to an electrode arranged isolated from this and its pipelines.



  This electrode is wetted by the water that is in communication with the device in question. This electrode can be arranged in the feed water container, collecting container, stream, pond or the like from which the boiler or condenser is fed and can be made of a sheet metal, pipe or other suitable metal object.



  The accompanying drawing shows an embodiment of the arrangement with the connection of the positive pole.



  According to the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1, it is assumed that the water is carried from a container ca into the vessel I to be protected and this container a is made of a material which is not electrically conductive per se. In this case, the positive electrode b is inserted into the liquid contained in the container a and, moreover, a second electrode c, which is connected to the negative pole of the direct current source d through the intermediary of the vessel to be protected.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Verhütung von Korrosionen und Kesselsteinbildung in Wärmeaustausch vorrichtungen, bei welchem diese unmittelbar mit dem negativen Pol einer Gleichstrom quelle verbunden werden, dadurch gekenn zeichnet, dass ihr positiver Pol mit einer ausserhalb des zu schützenden Gefässes isoliert angeordneten Elektrode in Verbindung ge bracht wird, welche vom Wasser benetzt ist, das mit dem in dem betreffenden Gefäss be findlichen in Verbindung steht.
