Automatic device for taking still or animated photographs. The present invention relates to an apparatus for taking still or moving photographs.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, one embodiment of this apparatus. Fig. 1 is a side elevation, a wall of the box enclosing the motor mechanism having been removed to reveal the internal components, and fig. 2 is the internal frontal view of the wall of the box itself on which the members for controlling the motor mechanism are mounted.
As seen in fig. 1, the box containing the motor mechanism and integral with the box 1 enclosing the camera, comprises a spring barrel 42 which can be loaded using the key 45, the shaft 45 'of which is stopped in a direction by a wheel with stop teeth 100 and by a pawl 101. The toothed ring 46 of the drum 42 meshes with a pinion 47 integral with the shaft 47 'which transmits its movement to the components of the apparatus and comprises a toothed wheel 48 transmitting, by means of a transmission 48 'and 48 ", the rotation to the vane regulator 49.
On the shaft 47 'is wedged the member 50 facing the wall 55 and constituted by a wheel provided with teeth 51 with which the members for controlling the motor mechanism engage.
These control members consist of an angle lever 102 pivoted at 103 in the wall 55 and held by a spring 104 in position so as to have its end tooth 105 in engagement with one of the teeth 51 of the wheel 50. The end 106 of the other arm 102 is engaged under a lug 107 of a part 108 mounted so as to slide axially on the wall 55. This part 108 ends vis-à-vis and at a small distance from a lever 109 pivoted at 110, using a slot 111, and held by a spring 112 in its raised position in which its tooth 1.13 is outside the path of the teeth 51 of the wheel 50.
The arm 106 of the lever 102 and the lug 107 of the part 108 are placed respectively under the action of the buttons 66 and 71 and the relative position of the teeth 105 and 113 of the levers 102 and 109 is such that they correspond to two consecutive teeth of the wheel 50. When the button 66 is pressed, the lever 10, '3 alone oscillates and the tooth 105 disengages from the wheel 50, so that the motor mechanism is free to rotate and the mechanism operates continuously until the button 66 is abandoned. In this way, an animated or cinematographic view is taken.
By pressing the button 71, the lug 107 is lowered, which first causes the lever 102 to oscillate, disengaging the tooth 105; on the other hand, the lower end of the part 108 lowers the lever 109 whose tooth 113 is brought on the path of the teeth 51 thereby forming a stop for the tooth 51 following that vis-à-vis which was located aupa brush tooth 113.
In this case, the motor mechanism is therefore stopped after having operated for a period of time which corresponds to the taking of an isolated photograph.
When the pressure on the button 71 is released, the tooth 113 of the lever 109 gives up the tooth 51 with which it was engaged, but the tooth 105 of the lever 102 returns to engage with another of the teeth 51 so that the motor mechanism remains blocked.
With the device described, which is of very simple construction, the wheel 50 cannot be blocked by the tooth 113 before it is started, so that it is unnecessary to provide auxiliary means for this purpose. at the same time, because of the shape of the teeth 51, any friction between the tooth 113 and the wheel 50 before stopping the latter is avoided.
In order not to have to keep a finger applied to the button 66 when you want to take a cinematographic view, it is useful to pivot on the upper wall of the box a trigger 114 comprising an inclined surface 115 which can be brought into engagement with the button 66 and in this position lowers and maintains lowered said button. In this construction, the motor is permanently coupled with the photographic and cinematographic apparatus.
To also allow the device to be actuated by hand, as is essential, for example for the pulling of po sives. the shaft 47 'is extended outside the box at 47 "(fig. 1) so as to be able to see the suitably shaped hub of a crank 116 fitted therein.
By bringing the bridge 114 into engagement with the button 66, which excludes the blocking of the wheel 50, it is therefore possible to turn the level 116 and operate the device by hand.
