Das im Kondensator sich ansammelnde Kondensat gelangt durch das. Rohr 13 nach der Kondensatpumpe 14, tvelche, wie die Kühlwasserpumpe 15, von einer Hilfsdampfturbine 16 mittelst eines. zwischengeschalteten Zahnradvorgeleges an getrieben -wird. Das von der Kondensat, pumpe 7.4 auf Kesseldruck gebrachte Kon densat wird im normalen Betrieb durch das;
Device for guiding the condensate on steam locomotives working with surface condensation. The invention relates to a device for guiding the condensate to steam locomotives which work with upper surface condensation and which has a condensate pump which normally is part of a circuit operation and which pumps all condensate from the surface condenser into the steam boiler.
With such steam locomotives there is a risk that many condenser rollers will be flooded by the condensate and their effectiveness will be severely impaired if the steam boiler is so abundantly filled with water that further feeding of the same is inadmissible and, as a result, the condensation can sates in the boiler is no longer accessible. This is especially the case when starting up, where a lot.
Steam is consumed and the condensate pump cannot immediately bring the large amount of condensate back into the steam boiler, as this was fed with cold water from a container when the train was at a standstill in order to prevent an instantaneous useless steam development, and now the water level is already high enough having..
The purpose of the present invention is to create a device of the type mentioned at the beginning which makes it possible, under all circumstances, to prevent the surface condenser of the locomotive from being excessively filled with condensation water. For this purpose, the new equipment has a switchover device after the condensate pump,
which optionally a conveyance of that pump directly into the steam boiler, respectively. in a storage container.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of an installation according to the invention. The picture shows the side view of a millel of a steam turbine and a surface, irrigation coriderizer operated steam locomotive.
The steam is led from your steam dome 1 through (read pipe 2 to a distribution box 3, in which there are lockable valves which are operated by the operator using handwheels 5 and rods 5. From the distribution box 3 the Steam through the pipes 6 into the steam t.iirl) ine '7 located at the front of the boiler,
which drives the intermediate shaft 8 by means of double teeth on the intermediate shaft 8 and from there by means of coupling rods not shown in the drawing on the drive riders.
From the steam turbine 'i the exhaust steam reaches the overflow condenser 10 through the pipe 9 and is precipitated there under the action of cooling water, which enters through the nozzle 11 and exits through the nozzle 12, after the in the Drawing not visible recooling device to be passed.
The condensate that collects in the condenser passes through the pipe 13 to the condensate pump 14, tvelche, like the cooling water pump 15, from an auxiliary steam turbine 16 by means of one. intermediate gear reduction is driven. The condensate brought to boiler pressure by the condensate pump 7.4 is in normal operation by the;
Rolir 1'7 and the pipe 18 fed back into the steam boiler 19. There is a hand lever 20 in the driver's cab, and by means of this and the stand 21 a three-way handle 22 connected to the condensate pump 14 on the bolirs 1'7 and 18 can be set so that
that the condensate out. the pipe 1'7 takes its way through the pipe 18 to the boiler in the manner described above and is evaporated there. The steam is going through the, pipe \? v.-iecler led away, whereupon the cycle begins again.
But as soon as there is a risk that the water level in the steam boiler will rise too high, the guide rotates the three-way line 22 by means of the lever 20 and the rod 21 so that the connection between the pipes 1'7 and 18 is interrupted and the pipe 1 'i is connected to the pipe 23,
which leads to a storage container 24 arranged under the frost stand. From this container 24 fresh water can be pumped to the boiler 19 by means of a pump (piston or jet pump) not shown in the drawing if the water level in the steam boiler drops too much or if the effect of a too large fire is to be countered.
Because there is a relatively low pressure in the container 24, the condensate pump 14 designed as a centrifugal pump is able to discharge a much larger amount of condensate from the surface condenser 10 than when the pump 14 with the corresponding position of the cock 22 through the pipe 18 through to the boiler 19 for - (has to learn.
In this way, it is possible under all circumstances, including when starting up, where a lot of condensate occurs and this cannot always be returned to the boiler immediately, to prevent the condenser 10 from being excessively filled with condensate.
