Description

Sohlenstift.

Sole pin. It is known that the outsole of footwear is connected to the upper sole either by seams or pins. The pens previously used for this purpose were either made of brass and were relatively expensive; they also had the great disadvantage that they could be easily detached; or they were shiny iron pins that rusted quickly. Sole pins that are proportionate. were hard and had short tips, never did bad, pens with elongated, square heads were uneven when hammered and were therefore not popular with experts.

These inconveniences are to be avoided by the sole pin forming the subject of the present invention, and the novelty of the same is that it has a round shaft and a tip with two-cornered cross-sections and is annealed blue.

In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown enlarged, namely: FIG. 1 shows a view, and FIG. 2 shows a section along the line h-h of FIG. 1. The sole pin shown has a shaft a, the upper one The end is provided with a head b which is to be countersunk and which has the shape of a conical stump. and the lower end of which runs into a point with a two-cornered cross-section.

The sole pin is tempered blue when it hardens, so that it is not corroded by the rust for a long time and receives the degree of hardness suitable for riveting. The tip finitely two-cornered in cross-section allows the sole pin to be easily hammered into the sole.
