Description

Shooter punch made of leather for looms with underlay. The known Shooter punch made of leather for looms with an underlay for cloth and silk looms have the disadvantage that a plug is attached by metal rivets in the driver head and thus the driver can only be used until the tip of the shooter hits the iron rivet, because by further hitting the shooter it became damaged so that it tears the warp threads. To face this evil, you made the driver from a piece of leather and compressed the head, or the drivers were made from pieces made of wood or the like, and pieces were placed a. According to the invention, the stopper is provided with a leather edge in the middle, which lies in an incision in the leather cover and is held by it. To a Leather rivets are still hammered in to avoid twisting. The driver head consists so completely made of leather. As a result, it runs in the contactor box without making any noise, because the well-known drivers with metal rivets in their heads hit the rivet heads in the gun box continued to strike. But now the one that is more permanent in the head Drivers are also more permanent at the point of attack of the striking arm, i.e. in the fastening part because this is where the driver is, because the calcareous buffalo leather is often brittle is torn prematurely, an insert is made in the fastening part around the spindle made of mineral-tanned leather. The drawing shows the driver in Fig. i seen from the side, partially broken open in the head, shown, and Fig. 2 shows an end view. The plug i is, as Fig. I shows, in the driver head z held by a protruding edge 3, which advantageously consists of leather, and this edge 3 engages in a recess 4 which is located in the material of the head 2 is located. Two leather rivets 5 secure the plug i against rotation. in the Fastening part 6 is, so that a longer service life is also achieved here, a Insert 7 made of mineral tanned leather arranged, which leads around the hole 8 in which the spindle comes. Of course, the protruding edge could also be inside the head and arrange the recess in the plug.
