Le goniomètre représenté comporte trois règles 1, 2 et 3, reliées par un pivot com- rnun 4 autour duquel elles peuvent tourner indépendamment l'une de l'autre. Ces règles i, 2 et 3 sont munies respectivement à leur extrémité libre de boutons fixes 5, 6 et 7 permettant de les manoeuvrer;

Compass goniometer. The object (the present invention is a compass goniometer, used to measure and plot angles both on a drawing and in the field, by means of at least two rulers movable relative to each other and which apply to the sides of the angle to be determined.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows the top view of the goniometer, of which FIG. 2 is a side view, and FIG. 3 a section by axis 1--1 (fig. 1.
The goniometer shown comprises three rules 1, 2 and 3, connected by a common pivot 4 around which they can turn independently of one another. These rules i, 2 and 3 are provided respectively at their free end with fixed buttons 5, 6 and 7 making it possible to operate them;
they are of different lengths, so as to be able to be folded up, one over the other, around the pivot 4, the buttons 5 and 7 being housed respectively in the notches 5 "and 7" of the

To transfer an angle of a given value, the rod 8 will be moved until the tip 10 is located opposite this value.
For closed angles greater than 90 ', we use the two graduated rulers l and 2 unfolded so as to form the unified rectilinear sequence of the auztre.
Starting from rule 1, placed on a side of an obtuse year, for example, we read the numbers corresponding to the. point 10 to the rules i and 2 and add them to get the exact value of the angle sought.
