Cadre.
Fig. 1 est une vue de l'une des faces de la première; Fig. 2 est une coupe par r1-B de fig. 1; Fig.3 montre en perspective ce cadre utilisé comme cadre concave; Fig. 4 montre en perspective le même cadre utilisé comme cadre convexe ; Fig. 5 et 6 indiquent un des moyens d'as semblage des angles dudit cadre; Fig. 7 montre un cadre pourvu d'un châs sis, dans la position voulue pour former titi cadre concave;

Frame. The object of the invention is a frame charac terized by the fact that it is formed of thin planes, the surfaces of two neighboring boards forming an obtuse angle between them, the whole established in such a way that the frame can it can be used as desired either as a frame with a convex framing surface or as a frame with a convex framing surface.
The attached drawing shows two embodiments of this frame, given by way of example.
Fig. 1 is a view of one of the faces of the first; Fig. 2 is a section through r1-B of FIG. 1; Fig.3 shows in perspective this frame used as a concave frame; Fig. 4 shows in perspective the same frame used as a convex frame; Fig. 5 and 6 indicate one of the means for assembling the angles of said frame; Fig. 7 shows a frame provided with a frame, in the desired position to form a concave frame;
Fig. 8 shows the same frame, provided with the same frame, fixed in the desired position to form a convex frame; Fig. 9 shows an extensible embodiment of the frame, mounted in a convex frame; Fig. 10 shows the same form of execution, but in a concave frame.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 6, the frame is formed of boards a, of thin hardwood and assembled together so as to form a concave or convex frame, depending on whether one or the other of its faces is used. framing of the painting. This arrangement of the boards gives greater resistance to the frame.
Like other ordinary frames, this frame can be provided with moldings.
The boards a are assembled to the hub of bent pigeons b, which may be of veneer, glued canvas or other suitable material.
Other means of assembling angles, such as: nails, cleats, screws, sleeves, staples, barbed nails, plates etc. can be used.
