Description

Construction.

Construction. The object of the invention is. a construction, characterized by the combination of bricks assembled with reinforced cement studs, engaged in recesses provided for this purpose in the adjacent surfaces of said bricks.

The accompanying drawing shows such a construction, given by way of example.

The fi-. 1 is an elevation, partly in section, of a wall formed of hollow bricks connected to each other by reinforced cement studs; Fig. 2 is a view from above of FIG. 1.

In this embodiment a are hollow bricks, the recesses of which form an air mattress.

The bricks a of the lower row are connected to the adjacent bricks of the upper row by studs b formed from a cylindrical block of cement containing an axial iron frame bi.

These studs penetrate into ad hoc hollows with which the bricks are provided. These hollows are preferably made in such a way as to limit the penetration of the studs, so that the latter are all housed exactly half in one and half in the other neighboring brick.

It goes without saying that depending on the applications, it is possible to place dowels only in part of the hollows of each brick.

The construction, shown by way of example, can just as easily be a floor or box spring as a wall. ]) In this case, fig. 1 would be titi plan, and FIG. 2 one end elevation of the construction.

These studs considerably facilitate the assembly of the Cree construction, serving for the rapid and precise identification of the bricks in relation to each other; they also constitute a much better bond than the simple layer of cement or mortar with which one of the bricks is generally coated before applying its neighbor.

It is even strong enough that a construction of this kind can be placed horizontally to form a very resistant base.

The studs are preferably formed from a cylindrical block of cement in which is embedded, coaxially a cylindrical iron rod passing through it over its entire length. But the frame of the stud can also be formed from several iron rods, a wire cable or even an iron wire rolled into a spiral in the form of a coil spring.

The studs can be of matic form.
