Dispositif d'embrayage.

Clutch device. The object of the invention is a clutch device.
It comprises, like other known clutch devices, a driving member and a controlled member which are provided with teeth, intended to come into engagement with each other, and which can be moved relative to one another. The other parallel to the length of the teeth in view of, the engagement thereof or out of engagement.
But it differs from it in that the teeth of its two organs have relatively long teeth separated from each other by between-teeth of much greater width due to that of the teeth of the other teeth and in this due at least one of these teeth also has relatively short teeth arranged between the long teeth and each separated from one of the latter by a gap of width mn little greater than that of these long teeth of the other toothing, the short teeth being set back on the long teeth relative to the teeth of this other toothing, the whole so that,
when the two members are moved relative to each other parallel to the length of the teeth for engagement, the long teeth of one of them first easily engage with the long teeth of the other organ, thanks to the wide teeth between these long teeth, then end up being lodged in the relatively narrow teeth between the long teeth of the other organ and the short teeth adjacent to that -this.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, two embodiments of the device. Figs. 1 and 2 are an axial section and an end vte, schematic of a first embodiment.
Fig. 3 is a schematic development of the teeth of this embodiment.
Fig. 4 is a schematic development of the teeth of the second embodiment. The first embodiment (fig. 1 and 2) comprises a drive shaft a on which a toothed wheel b can slide and rotate, constituting it, ant For-ane h controlled and actuating a toothed wheel, not shown.
Rosie b has internal teeth comprising two series of teeth c; d. (see also fig. 3) of the same height and width; of different lengths: the teeth c have a relatively long length, while the teeth (d have a relatively short one, start t left in the same plane, perpendicular to the axis of b, that the teeth c, end in the second plane more to the left than that where the ends of these teeth c are located and are distributed between these said teeth r which they are separated by between-teeth i, all equal.
The shaft a, for its part, is integral with a toothed ring comprising only (the teeth e, of relatively large length and width such that they can be housed in the between-teeth i existing between the long teeth c and the short teeth key, next to the wheel b.
The toothing of the wheel b therefore has relatively short teeth cl arranged between the long teeth c - at the rate of one tooth cl between each pair of teeth c - and each of the two neighboring teeth c separated by a gap i of bare width not much greater than that of the teeth e of the other toothing: the short teeth d are set back on the long teeth c relative to the teeth of the teeth of the shaft a.
The operation of this form of execution is as follows: At rest, the wheel b occupies on the shaft in the position which is shown in FIG. 1 and for which its teeth are not in engagement with those of the shaft has rotating in it without driving it.
Bridge produce the clutch, the wheel b is smoothed from left to right on the shaft a. Thanks to the wide openings j existing between the long teeth c, e, the first c penetrate easily and immediately or almost immediately between the second e, (him, as a result of their continuous rotational movement in the direction of the arrow f. are applied by their upper face (fig. 3) on the underside of the teeth c, thus dragging them and with them the wheel b.
However, the axial movement from left to right of this wheel b continues, so that the slow e are forced to slide axially the lori- of the teeth c with which they are engaged while

The clutch is complete.
Instead of moving the wheel b on the shaft @, we could slide the second clans the first or even make them move both t at the same time.
Depending on requirements, the gaps between the same short tooth and the neighboring long teeth may not be equal, or there may be more than one short gap between two consecutive long teeth of the same set of teeth.
The components, motor and controlled, may not be constituted by a shaft and by a toothed wheel and may for example be a toothed wheel and a rack.
In this case too, they must be so arranged that, if they are moved away from each other parallel to the length of the teeth, in view of the clutch, the long teeth of one of the components come out. first easily engages with the long teeth of the other organ, thanks to the wide teeth between these teeth, then end up being lodged in the relatively narrow spaces between the long teeth and the short ones teeth close to the other organ.
