Abstract

The invention relates to a mounting kit (30) for covering an edge or a step cheek in a sanitary or wet floor area of a building area. The step cheek defines a transition between a lower level and a higher level. The mounting kit (30) comprises at least one mounting element (17) with a vertical surface which runs parallel to the step cheek, and with a foot (17.1) for fastening the mounting element (17) on the floor area. In addition, it comprises an elongated attachment profile (16), which has a visible surface (16.2) which runs parallel to the step cheek, and which can be placed on the mounting element or inserted into the mounting element to form a cladding. The mounting kit (30) has means (17.2) for fixing the mounting height, which are designed so that the height position of the attachment profile (16) in relation to the mounting element (17) is permanently fixed and that by means of the mounting kit at least two different mounting heights of Attachment profile (16) in relation to the mounting element (17) can be specified.

Description

Description: The invention relates to a mounting kit for covering an edge or a step cheek. In particular, it is about step cheeks of showers whose shower floor area has a slope to guide water in the direction of a drain. The subject of the invention is also a corresponding building area with a step covering, which was created by means of a mounting kit.

There are increasingly built showers that require no shower tray. This type of shower is particularly preferred because e.g. the flooring of the bathroom can seemingly seamlessly go into the shower floor area. Another advantage is that the showers in the entrance area have no steps or the like, which would have to be overcome to enter the shower. Therefore, such showers are also referred to as barrier-free showers.

By installing a slope typically results in at least one side of the shower a small wedge-shaped step. For screed layers, it may be difficult to realize a corresponding shower floor area with a precisely predetermined gradient. The gradient is typically 1.5%. In particular, the aforementioned wedge-shaped step, the slope of which is only about 1.5% and which expires at "zero" is demanding in the realization. In addition to the purely optical aspects, an "unclean" finish may result in the risk of mold or the penetration of water into the area below the floor covering.

Similar problems also arise with other stages (e.g., steps with a rectangular step cheek). Especially in the sanitary or wet area, there is therefore a need for easy-to-use, waterproof and visually appealing solutions.

A suitable solution, marketed by the company Rivaplan AG, Switzerland, is referred to as the wedge splint AquA ™. A first exemplary situation is illustrated in FIG. 1A. Shown is a shower 10, which does not require a shower tray or the like. Adequate drainage of the water is ensured by the fact that the sloping floor area 11, hereinafter referred to as shower floor area 11, has a slight gradient relative to the surrounding horizontal floor area 12.

In the example shown, the shower floor area 11 on the right has approximately the same level as the bathroom floor 12 to be covered with slabs or the like. Towards the left (i.e., toward the wall 20), the shower floor area 11 drops from the level of the bathroom floor 12. That the plane N1 lies below the plane N2, whereby here the plane N1 slopes slightly towards the wall 20. At the lowest point, a drain is planned here. In the example shown, a so-called shower channel 15 is used. The shower channel 15 has e.g. a central drain opening 14 to pass water through a siphon into a sewer pipe. Particularly suitable for such an application is a shower channel Aqua SwissLine ™, which is available from Schaco AG, Switzerland.

It has been here along the wedge-shaped steps ever an elongated wedge rail 1 is mounted. In Fig. 1A is shown by way of example how the wedge rails 1 can be arranged and mounted. On the left wedge rail 1 (in Fig. 1A below) is hinted in the area 13.2 shown that in the area of a stand 1.6 recesses (here in the form of rectangular holes) can be provided. In Fig. 1B an enlarged view of the visible surface 1.2 of the right wedge rail 1 is shown by way of example. This wedge rail 1 has almost a triangular shape and the visible surface 1.2 is surrounded by the edges 1.1, 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5. The length is L1. The height on the left side in FIG. 1B is denoted by H1, and the height on the right side in FIG. 1B is denoted by H2 (H2 «H1). It is important that the dimensions of such a wedge rail 1 are exactly adapted to the installation situation. The already mentioned foot section 1.6 lies in FIG. 1B behind the visible surface 1.2 and extends into the plane of the drawing.

In Fig. 2A an exemplary installation situation is shown in a highly schematic representation, in which the wedge rail 1 has a shape / dimension that has not been selected ideally matching. Therefore, the lower edge of the 1.3 wedge rail 1 is above the level of tiles or plates 21 in the sloping shower floor area 11 to lie. In FIG. 2A, a visible gap thus results in region 13.3, which is undesirable depending on the height (in the vertical direction in FIG. 2A) and the distance (in FIG. 2A in the horizontal direction) of the tile 21. If the gap is small, it can be sealed with tile mortar or sealing material (silicone joint). If the gap should be too large, it can not be closed aesthetically pleasing.

In the Fig. 2A, the following additional reference numerals are used (the structure shown is to be understood as an example): underlay floor 25, horizontal edge 26.1 of the underlay floor 25, tile adhesive or mortar 50, liquid seal 60, and top 21.o of the tiles or Plates 21.

It therefore raises the task of mounting elements, respectively, a corresponding mounting kit with such mounting elements to develop that / is easy to manufacture and flexible in the assembly. In addition, the use of such a mounting kit, the assembly of a stage, e.g. in the area of a shower or other sanitary wet area, simplify and reduce the manual effort on site. Furthermore, the mounting kit should ensure a pleasing optical quality of the stage on the whole length.

According to the invention, a mounting kit for disguising an edge or a step cheek is provided, the features of which can be found in the patent claim 1.

In addition, a building area is provided with at least one such mounting kit, the details of which can be found in claim 11.

Preferably, in all embodiments, an elongated mounting member is used, which has the shape of a rail or a profile.

Preferably, in all embodiments, an elongate attachment profile is used, which has a so-called (longitudinal) pocket.

The invention can be applied not only on wedge rails with height adjustment, but also on other profiles with height adjustment. The invention can also be used, inter alia, in connection with shower trays and drainage channels.

The invention provides special means for permanently fixing the mounting height. These means may be part of the mounting element and / or the attachment profile. However, the agents may also be separate agents, e.g. belong to the scope of delivery of the mounting kit.

This is primarily about levels that occur in the floor area, and a corresponding panel of edges or step cheeks of such levels. However, the invention can also be applied to other stages (for example, to a wall).

In FIG. 1A, reference numeral 13.1 denotes a region which is particularly critical when mounting a wedge rail 1. Depending on the circumstances, the wedge-shaped step typically has a maximum height of a few centimeters. A step cheek 26, which is to be dressed using an inventive mounting kit 30 can be characterized as follows. The step cheek 26 may in all embodiments have a triangular shape or an approximate triangular shape, e.g. is bounded by a lateral vertical edge, by the upper edge 26.1 of a shower floor area 11 and by the level N2 of the surrounding horizontal floor area 12. If the upper edge 26.1 of the step cheek 26 is bounded by a horizontal bottom portion 12, this upper edge also extends horizontally. Therefore, it is referred to in this case as the horizontal edge 26.1 (see Fig. 2A, Fig. 5A to 5C).

The step cheek 26 may in all embodiments also have a rectangular shape or an approximate rectangular shape, such as e.g. shown in Figs. 11A to 11C.

It is obvious that, especially in the area 13.1, it is difficult to produce a clean transition between the surrounding floor area 12 and the shower floor area 11. In addition, a wedge rail 1, as shown by way of example in FIG. 1B, can not be adapted to the respective installation situation.

According to the invention, therefore, a mounting kit 30 is proposed, which comprises at least one mounting element 17 and a so-called elongated attachment profile 16, wherein the mounting kit 30 allows height adjustment before or during assembly. These basic elements 16, Veines mounting kit 30 are shown in Fig.2B in the form of a sketch. The principle of height adjustment is symbolized by a double arrow P.

The invention provides special means for permanently fixing the mounting height. These means are designed so that the height position of the attachment profile 16, respectively the height position of the upper edge 16.1 with respect to the level N2 of the surrounding floor area 12 or with respect to the level N1 of the sloping shower floor area 11 is permanently fixable. Fixing the height position is done in all embodiments by a mechanical interaction of one or more mounting elements 17 with the attachment profile 16. This can be done by the use of one or more additional (separate) elements (called implementation variants V2), or these means can be part of the mounting element 17 and / or the attachment profile 16 (called implementation variants V1).

In the implementation variants V2, the mounting kit 30 includes other elements (such as shown in Figures 17A and 17B).

The mounting kit 30 provides in each case a two- or multi-part wedge rail, which is also referred to here as a composite wedge rail with height adjustment.

FIGS. 3A and 3B show a longitudinal section of a first mounting element 17 according to the invention in accordance with the first implementation variant V1. An elongate mounting element 17 in the form of a rail or a profile is used, as shown in FIG. 3A. The mounting member 17 has a support surface 17.1, which is also referred to here as (stand) foot. In the mounted state, the foot 17.1 is horizontal parallel to the underlay floor 25 of the surrounding floor area 12 or parallel to the sloping shower floor area 11 (depending on the embodiment). Each mounting kit 30 of the invention thus also includes at least one elongated (preferably wedge-shaped or rectangular) attachment profile 16 in addition to the at least one mounting element 17.

The attachment profile 16 preferably has a substantially vertically extending side surface 16.2 in all mounted embodiments. This side surface 16.2 is at least partially visible in the assembled state and is therefore also called visible surface. The side surface 16.2 has a lower edge 16.4, depending on the embodiment straight (with straight or rectangular step cheeks 26) or obliquely (with wedge-shaped step cheeks 26). In addition, it has an upper edge which in a part of the embodiments (see, for example, Figures 2B, 4A-4C, 5A-5C, 7A, 7B, 8, 9, 13, 17A, 17B, 19) may be formed as a leading edge 16.1.

Instead of providing a front edge 16.1, an attachment profile 16 of the invention may also comprise a differently made or shaped top edge. The formation of the upper edge ultimately depends on the choice of material and / or the processing or manufacturing process.

In the embodiment of FIGS. 4B and 4C, it can be seen that the front edge 16.1 can be produced, for example, by bending over an upper strip-shaped region of the attachment profile 16. The leading edge 16.1 forms a slot-like (longitudinal) pocket 16.3, which can be e.g. can be particularly well seen in Figs. 4B and 4C. In Fig. 4B, the inside of the attachment profile 16 is shown. The inside 16.7 shown is not visible in the mounted state, since it rests on the step cheek 26 or extends substantially parallel to this.

On the basis of the highly schematic Fig. 5A, 5B and 5C, the problem of height adjustment will be explained in more detail, with a deliberately chosen representation, which is comparable to the representations of FIGS. 2A and 2B. The tiles 21 and the tile adhesive or mortar 50 are not shown in Figs. 5A, 5B and 5C. Fig. 5A shows a highly schematic sectional view of a multi-part, height-adjustable mounting kit 30 of the invention in a suitable installation situation. The attachment section 16 sits here full on the upper edge of the high lugs 17.2. As a result, the lower edge 16.4 of the attachment profile 16 comes to rest above the shower floor area 11. Fig. 5B shows a highly schematic sectional view of a multi-part, height-adjustable mounting kit 30 of the invention in another suitable installation situation. The attachment profile 16 sits here full on the upper edge of the medium-height tabs 17.3. As a result, the lower edge 16.4 of the attachment profile 16 comes to rest further down than in FIG. 5A. In FIG. 5B, the plane N1.1 of the upper edge of the tiles 21 is indicated. The plane N1.1 is here slightly above the lower edge 16.4 and thus, later, after the tiles 21 have been laid, there is no visible gap in the area 13.3. In practice, there may be slight variations that are tolerable.

Fig. 5C shows a highly schematic sectional view of a multi-part, height-adjustable mounting kit 30 of the invention in an inappropriate installation situation. The attachment section 16 sits snugly on the upper edge of the least high tabs 17.4. As a result, the lower edge 16.4 of the attachment profile 16 comes to rest just above the shower floor area 11. In FIG. 5C, the plane N1.1 of the upper edge of the tiles 21 is indicated. The plane N1.1 lies far above the lower edge 16.4 and the lower edge 16.4 penetrates into the liquid seal 60 in the situation shown, which can lead to leaks.

From these highly simplified representations it can be seen that the height adjustment is of great importance. It should be noted that the thicker the tiles 21 are, the greater the tolerances.

In Fig. 6A is now a schematic plan view of another embodiment of an elongate mounting member 17, according to the invention shown. Further details of this embodiment of the elongate mounting element 17 can be seen in FIGS. 6B and 6C. Such a mounting member 17 may be in one or the other embodiment, an element of the aforementioned mounting kit 30.

It is in the elongated mounting member 17 of Fig. 6A to 6C to a kind of rail or profile. The mounting member 17 has a support surface 17.1, which is referred to here as foot. In the assembled state, the foot 17 is horizontally parallel to the underlay floor 25 of the surrounding floor area 12 or the sloping shower floor area 11, depending on the embodiment. In the area of the bearing surface 17.1 holes or recesses 19 are preferably provided in all embodiments, so that an intimate connection with a liquid seal 60 results. In addition, the mounting element 17 has along a longitudinal edge at least two tabs (for example the tabs 17.2), which in the assembled state point substantially vertically upwards. In FIGS. 6A to 6C, an embodiment is shown which is provided with seven high lugs 17.2 and with seven lugs 17.3 of less height.

By disconnecting or removing all the high tabs 17.2, a lower installation height can be specified for the subsequent placement of the attachment profile 16. The attachment profile 16 can then sit with its (longitudinal) pocket 16.3 on the upper edge of the lesser tabs 17.3. If a higher installation height is to be specified, then the high lugs remain 17.2 and the attachment section 16 is then seated on the upper edge of the high lugs 17.2.

In addition to the length L2 of the attachment profile 16 (see, for example, Fig. 4A) and the height position which can be specified during mounting / installation, the shape of the attachment profile 16 also plays a decisive role, as will be described below with reference to further examples and explanations. FIG. 5A shows a constellation in which a gap results in region 13.3. The clear height of the gap may vary over the length of the attachment profile 16 when the slope of the lower edge 16.4 of the attachment profile 16 differs from the slope of the shower base region 11. It can thus cause problems during installation, if the slope of the shower floor area 11 is not identical to the slope of the lower edge 16.4 of the attachment profile 16 or if the two slopes deviate too much from each other. Due to the tile thickness certain tolerances are possible and permissible here.

Since the sanitary area is typically coated over the whole area with a liquid seal 60 (see FIGS. 5A, 5B and 5C), it should always be ensured that the lower edge 16.4 does not penetrate into this liquid seal 60 or even permeates this liquid seal 60 and thus violates it. In Fig. 5C, the lower edge 16.4 penetrates into the liquid seal 60 unauthorized.

It is e.g. with an inadequate length L2 of the attachment profile 16, it is possible to shorten the profile 16 at the wide end (ie at the left end in FIG. 4A), it being noted that the lower edge 16.4 is not visible in the assembled state and that the lower edge 16.4 is not for leaks (eg when penetrating a liquid seal 60).

A gap is uncritical in the area 13.3 as long as the distance between the lower edge 16.4 and the surface level N1.1 of the tiles 21 in the shower floor area 11 is so small and so far that the gap with tile mortar or a sealing compound (eg silicone ) can be laminated.

In Fig. 7A an embodiment of the attachment profile 16 is shown with holes 22.1, which are generally referred to as anchoring structures 22. FIG. 7B shows a short section of another embodiment of the attachment profile 16 with rectangular recesses or recesses 22. 2 serving as anchoring structures 22. The holes 22.1 and recesses or recesses 22.2 may also have other shapes.

In embodiments designed according to FIGS. 7A and 7B, a permanent fixation can be achieved by a mechanical interaction of the attachment profile 16, e.g. be achieved with tile mortar. Attachment profiles 16 with anchoring structures 22 can be used in all embodiments. Such attachment profiles 16 with anchoring structures 22 can be combined with all mounting elements 17.

After placing a suitable attachment profile 16 on the vertical section 17.6 of a suitable mounting element 17, or while placing the attachment section 16 on the / the mounting element / e 17, by the use of an adhesive, mortar 50 or other adhesion promoter a mechanical interaction of the optional anchoring structures 22 with the tile edges.

The corresponding nose is indicated in FIG. 8 by the reference numeral 16.5. With this small nose 16.5, which can extend here over the length L2 or over shorter sections, it is achieved that the attachment profile 16 can be better anchored in the assembled state in an adhesive, mortar 50 or in another bonding agent. In Fig. 9, the upper portion of another attachment profile 16 can be seen. The front edge 16.1 also forms here a slot-like (longitudinal) pocket 16.3, which, however, is narrowed at the bottom. All embodiments of attachment profiles 16 provided with anchoring structures 22 can also be combined with other assembly elements 17, as e.g. are shown in Figs. 3A, 3B, 6A to 6C, 10, 11A-11C, 17A, 17B and 19, respectively.

It can be seen from the figures described so far that there are a number of conditions which the components of a mounting set 30 have to meet in order to be able to disguise a step cheek 26.

It has already been explained that the length L2 and shape of the attachment profile 16 are important. The aim is to choose the length L2 so that with the attachment profile 16 the field of view of the corresponding (wedge) stage, i. the visible area of the step cheek 26, can be completely covered without any problem. For example, a too long top profile 16 could be cut to length at one end (e.g., using a sheet cutter or a flex) to accommodate the specific installation situation, with more or less tolerances depending on the thickness of the tiles.

So far, the invention has been described in connection with embodiments, the attachment profile 16 is completely wedge-shaped (see Fig. 4A, 4B, 4C, 7A, 7B) is designed. The attachment profiles 16 may also be only partially wedge-shaped, which is not shown separately here.

However, the attachment profile 16 can also have a different shape adapted to the respective stage situation. In many cases, there are steps, such as steps or steps, whose step cheeks 26 are rectangular. In Figs. 11A-11C, another embodiment of the invention is shown in three assembly steps. For example, the mounting kit 30 may include two or more than two single angular mounting members 17 and one integral mounting profile 16 (this also applies to all other embodiments). In Fig. 11A, a sectional view through a portion of a subfloor 25 is shown. The step cheek 26 is visible here in FIG. 11A. To emphasize the step cheek 26, it was crosshatched. It is in this example a rectangular step cheek 26. The example shown in FIGS. 11A-11C can also be applied to wedge-shaped steps.

In Fig. 11A an assembly step is shown after placing three individual angle-shaped mounting elements 17 on the horizontal bottom portion 12 along a step cheek 26. Each of the mounting elements 17 typically has a support surface or foot 17.1 and a vertical section 17.6. In principle, two such angular mounting elements 17 per attachment profile 16, or per step cheek 26 rich.

As part of the mounting kit 30, e.g. several (at least two each) angular mounting elements 17 are offered with different height vertical sections 17.6 or tabs 17.2. The angular mounting members 17 may be provided individually (as in Fig. 11A, for example) or they may be connected together, e.g. shown in Fig. 10. Alternatively or additionally, the rear side of the attachment profile 16 may be provided with the already mentioned recesses 22.2, holes 22.1 or other anchoring structures 22.

In Fig. 11C, an assembling step after the laying of tiles 21 is shown. The tiles 21 were embedded / inserted here in tile adhesive or mortar 50. The total thickness D2 of the tiles 21 together with the tile adhesive 50 is ideally larger than the gap S1 in order to ensure that the lower edge 16.4 of the attachment profile 16 is not visible in the final state. The lower edge 16.4 should ideally be below the upper edge 21.o of the tiles 21.

The principle shown in FIGS. 11A to 11C, in which two or more than two individual angle-shaped mounting elements 17 together serve as a mounting element for receiving the attachment profile 16, can be transferred to all other embodiments and assembly situations.

Also possible is an embodiment based on the principle shown in Figs. 11A to 11C. In order to prevent a craftsman from having to handle too many different individual parts of a mounting kit 30, two, three or more of the individual angular mounting elements 17 may each be mounted on a common support 27, e.g. a carrier tape, net or -Wirkirk be attached, as indicated in Fig. 10. The carrier 27 is preferably flexible and preferably has holes, meshes or openings to allow penetration of the liquid seal 60 or other sealing compound. In addition to the length problem, another problem arises when using an attachment profile 16. The installation height plays a crucial role, as already described. The height adjustment can be used in all their different configurations to make on site adaptation to the thickness of the tiles used for use 21 or plates.

In Fig. 12, a short length portion of another mounting kit 30 is shown. It can be seen that the attachment profile 16 with the pocket 16.3, which is formed here by the front edge 16.1, sat tight on a tab 17.2 of the mounting member 17 is placed or plugged. The mounting kit 30 may be e.g. be supplied with different levels of additional elements 70. By suitable choice of the additional element 70, the height position of the attachment element 16 can be adjusted relative to the mounting element 17.

The additional element 70 may e.g. be designed in the region of the vertical strip 74 so that the effective height of the additional element 70 can be changed by separating / off / bending / bending of longitudinal strips (combination of V2 and V3). The separation / removal of longitudinal strips can e.g. facilitated by the provision of longitudinal notches in the vertical strip 74.

The means for determining the mounting height are designed in a part of the embodiments so that they specify a one-time mounting height during assembly and fix. Preferably, the tabs 17.2, 17.3, 17.4 provided with predetermined breaking points or perforations so that they can be bent, shortened or separated. Preferred embodiments of the invention have the following dimensions: length L1 between 50 cm and 300 cm and / or length L2 between 50 cm and 300 cm. If the mounting member 17 consists of several sections, such as e.g. in Fig. 10, these sections may have a length L1 * between 2 cm and 20 cm.

In addition to the aspects mentioned, the mounting kit 30 offers the advantage that the laying of tiles 21, floor slabs or other floor coverings (for example, cast floor coverings) is absolutely unproblematic. The vertical portion 17.6 of the mounting member 17 may, for example, be configured as shown in FIGS. 3A, 3B, 6A to 6C or as shown in FIG.
