<tb>Fig. 1-2<sep>zeigen Ansichten der Fensterbank oder Türschwelle aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln;
<tb>Fig. 3<sep>zeigt ein Abschlusselement der Fensterbank oder Türschwelle nach den Fig. 1 und 2;
The present invention relates to a window sill or a door sill, each having a at least one plaster edge having, lateral end element.
A windowsill usually has a window sill profile forming the building exterior side window sill. Its rear edge is provided with an upwardly angled stop bar, for attaching the sill profile to the building. The front, outwardly projecting from the facade edge is formed as bent down leg. This serves as a visual and rain protection and is designed so that rainwater can drip off. The lateral, that is to the soffit edges of this sill profile are each provided with an end profile.
These lateral end profiles are previously designed so that in each case a groove or recess is required in the soffit to their inclusion. It is obvious that the fitting of the window sill is therefore complicated. In addition, the delicate work in this area favors assembly errors. Last but not least, sealing problems often occur, in particular at the upper edge of the end profiles, which are usually insufficiently repaired by a silicone joint and can not be permanently repaired. As a result, damage can usually only be repaired at the soffit or at the plaster applied here.
On the basis of these findings, the invention has the object to provide a windowsill or a door sill, whose installation is easier and in which also sealing problems can be effectively avoided.
The inventive window sill or threshold corresponds to the characterizing features of claim 1. Further advantageous embodiments of the inventive concept can be seen from the dependent claims.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the invention will be described in more detail with reference to the drawing. These examples relate to a windowsill. An appropriate use as a door threshold is also possible.
<Tb> FIG. 1-2 <sep> show views of the sill or sill from different angles;
<Tb> FIG. Fig. 3 <sep> shows a closing element of the sill or sill of Figs. 1 and 2;
<Tb> FIG. 4 <sep> shows the essential for the invention areas of mounting sill or threshold.
The most important element of the sill consists of a window profile serving as a base profile 1 of FIG. 1. This may have a conventional, upwardly angled stop bar 2 and a downwardly directed, serving as visual and rain protection leg 3. The latter may have at least one further bend 4 at its lower end. At the edges lying to the soffit 5 and 6 of this basic profile 1 is in each case preferably also designed as a profile end element 7 and 8 set.
These lateral end elements 7 and 8 each have a so-called, projecting into the window or door light plaster edge 9. The plastering edge 9 is at an angle from the respective end element 7 and 8 from, preferably with a slight downward slope, so that a drainage effect is given.
Beyond the height of the plaster edge 9 also extends according to the invention a web 10 upwards. This is preferably flush with the applied in the region of the reveal on the facade construction surface 11 of the end element 7 or 8, as well as in Fig. 2und, in particular from FIG. 4 shows.
In the case of the window sill or door sill mounted according to FIG. 4, the right-hand end element 8 shown here abuts against the facade structure. The surface 11 located on its rear side is arranged on a facade insulation 12 in the present example. This is attached to the building outer wall 13. On the facade insulation 12 of the plaster 14 is applied, usually with the interposition of a known network 15th
In the prior art, a recess would have been introduced into the facade insulation 12, as indicated by dashed lines, and the closing element 8 is inserted. As already mentioned, the fitting of the window sill is complicated. There is also the risk of damaging the facade insulation 12. And last but not least, this procedure is prone to assembly errors. To complicate the penetration of moisture on the Verputzkante 9 for facade insulation 12, is above the plastering edge 9 to install a silicone joint. Their presence or professional execution is no longer noticeable after plastering. Problems are common in this area. In the plaster 14 cracks may initially arise, later it may cause a chipping of the plaster 14.
If, which is the rule rather than the exception in such cases, a large number of window shutters is affected, this will entail a far-reaching and more expensive renovation of the façade.
In the inventive design of the end elements 7 and 8 of the sill 1 above problems are simple, but effectively avoided. The respective end element 7 and 8 can be placed directly on the facade insulation 12. This does not need to be edited or touched. Thereafter, the mesh 15 and the plaster 14 can be applied effortlessly. Since the lower edge of the plaster 14 can be pulled over the web 10, no sealing measures are required here. The critical transition region from the respective end element 7 or 8 to the plaster 14 is securely closed. Even in heavy humidity or heavy rain no moisture can penetrate. In addition, a technically and optically clean conclusion is guaranteed.
Since the web 10 has no static function, it may have a relatively thin wall thickness 16. Thus, it is possible to choose the wall thickness 16 smaller than the wall thickness 17 of the web 10 downwardly continuing leg 18 of the closing element 7 or 8. For example, the web 10 may have a wall thickness 16 of less than 2 mm or even less than 1 mm ,
Also for this reason, the end elements 7 and 8 are advantageously not made of bent sheet metal, which would bring in this case with itself, that the leg 18 is guided to the top of the present web 10, there bent over and back down to led to the height of Verputzkante 9 and then, forming the latter, would have to be angled. The result would be that the web 10, even with perfect bending work, would have twice the wall thickness of the leg 18. However, this would make the structure according to FIG. 4 impractical, because the web 10 would take up the space required for the plaster 14.
If you wanted to comply with the predetermined minimum thickness of the plaster layer so in the area of the web 10, either an undesirable paragraph would have to be provided here, or it would be applied to the whole, over the web 10 lying surface of the reveal a stronger plaster layer, so that then thinner area at the web 10 would still have the minimum thickness. It is obvious that this solution would not be optimal in any way.
Therefore, the proposed small wall thickness 16 of the web 10 makes a lot of sense. In order to achieve this small wall thickness 16, the end elements 7 and 8 are for example and advantageously made as drawn profiles. Aluminum is particularly suitable for this purpose. An example of such a closure element profile is shown in FIG. 3. This end element profile is then to be connected to the basic profile 1 of the sill or threshold.
Of course, the individual parts of the sill or threshold can be realized differently than drawn within the scope of the invention. Theoretically, albeit a detrimental to rational production, the base profile 1 and the end elements 7 and 8 could consist of one piece. Incidentally, the exact shapes and proportions of the parts of the sill or sill, for example, with respect to the width of the leg 3 or the total height of the end members 7 and 8 and the like, may also be changed. However, by way of example only, it should be noted here that, given the currently prescribed thicknesses of the plaster layer, a width of 6-8 mm will be selected for the plastering edge 9, but preferably 6 mm. As far as the height of the web 10 is concerned, here 3-10 mm would suffice, preferably 5 mm being considered.
