State of the art
The invention relates to a test device for measuring the tightness of gloves on production facilities according to the preamble of claim 1.
Such a test device is already known and has a measuring chamber, which must be brought into sealing contact with a wall of a production plant. In this case, the measuring chamber encloses an opening on the wall of the production device, in which a glove is attached, which allows manipulation in the (sterile held) production room during operation of the production facility. Fastening devices of the measuring chamber are known on the wall of the production plant, which work mechanically, wherein the fastening devices clamping rings, fittings or the like.
The disadvantage here is that it is thus only relatively difficult to achieve a uniform contact force between the measuring chamber and the wall of the production facility or such fastening systems, if they are not needed, that is disturbing the production facility during the actual operation of the production facility and represent an additional construction effort.
Advantages of the invention
The inventive test device for measuring the tightness of gloves on production facilities with the characterizing features of claim 1 has the advantage that can be achieved with her very uniform and depending on the application in principle arbitrarily high contact forces between the measuring chamber and the wall of the production facility ,
The likelihood of leaks, which can distort the test result during the measurement of the tightness of the gloves, is thus reduced.
Advantageous developments of the inventive test device are specified in the dependent claims. In order to avoid additional devices in the production facility, it is provided in an advantageous development to equip the measuring chamber by means of at least two circumferential seals. By means of an evacuation of the intermediate space of the two seals, it is therefore possible to cause the measuring chamber to be sucked onto the wall of the production device.
This disturbs during the actual operation of the production plant no additional components o.Ä. on the wall of the production plant.
In order to further decouple the measuring chamber from external influences, it is provided in a further advantageous embodiment, in addition to equip the measuring chamber with a further circumferential seal, which is arranged within the other two seals.
drawing
An embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawing and will be explained in more detail below. The sole FIGURE shows a test device for measuring the tightness of gloves on a production device in a simplified representation.
Description of the embodiment
The test system 10 shown in the figure is used to check the tightness of gloves. 1
Such gloves 1 are used for example in the pharmaceutical industry in plants for processing, that is to say for filling and closing containers with liquid pharmaceuticals. These systems have a housing kept sterile against the environment, in which the containers to be filled are treated under clean room conditions. Since it is always necessary to make manipulations within the system, such a system at several points openings, in Fig. 1, an opening 11 in the housing wall 12 of the housing is shown as an example, in which the glove 1 is inserted sealingly ,
The measurement of the tightness of the glove 1, for example, before the start of production, is required to ensure that within the plant or the housing during the production process from the outside no impurities, for example, cracks or holes in the glove 1, can get into the housing interior ,
The test system 10 has a central unit 15, which is connected via a first line 16 to an input / output unit 17. Furthermore, the central unit 15 is equipped by means of a second line 18 with a screen 19 for graphical representation of, for example, inputs or measurement results. The central unit 15 can be connected to at least one, but preferably simultaneously several, mobile measuring units 20.
These measuring units 20, which are each designed to receive a glove 1, have a measuring chamber 22 and symbolically represented measuring devices 23, 24.
In particular, one measuring device 23 is a pressure sensor, while the other measuring device 24 is, for example, a temperature sensor. The two measuring devices 23, 24 measure the pressure prevailing inside the measuring chamber 22 or the temperature.
The measurement data of the measuring devices 23, 24 are transmitted to the central unit 15 via further lines 26, 27.
To illustrate that the central unit 15 may be connected to several measuring units 20 at the same time, 15 additional lines 126, 127, 226, 227 and 326, 327 are shown on the central unit.
In order to document the test results in the measuring chambers 22 and to assign these results to certain gloves 1 of the system, it is provided that an identification element 29 is arranged on each glove 1. The identification element 29 may be formed, for example, in the form of a bar code or a microchip.
The identification element 29 is preferably detected by means of a sensor 30, which forwards a corresponding signal via a line 31 to the central unit 15.
In the illustrated embodiment of the measuring chamber 22, the test is carried out by means of negative pressure. For this purpose, the measuring chamber 22 is connected via a first valve 32 and a line 33 to a vacuum source, not shown. The first valve 32 can be actuated by the central unit 15 via an electrical line 34. Furthermore, a second valve 36 is provided for venting the measuring chamber 22, which is also controlled by the central unit 15 via an electrical line 37.
Of course, it is also conceivable to carry out the measurement of the tightness of the glove 1 by means of overpressure. In this case, however, other arrangements of the valves or
Lines connecting the measuring chamber 22 with the central unit 15.
The measuring chamber 22 has a hollow cylindrical or cup-shaped form, the inner diameter of the size of the opening 11 of the housing wall 12 is adapted such that the measuring chamber 22 can be attached to the measuring operation sealingly to the opening 11 on the housing wall 12. The measuring chamber 22 is surrounded by a flange-shaped connecting region 40. On the housing wall 12 facing end face of the connecting portion 40 protrude a total of three each circumferential seals 41, 42 and 43 from the end face out. The inner, the measuring chamber 22 facing seal 41 surrounds the measuring chamber 22 with a relatively small distance. Between the two other seals 42 and 43, an annular space 44 is formed, which is connected via a line 45 to the vacuum source 35.
In line 45, two valves 46 and 47 are connected, wherein the valve 46 (when the valve 47 is closed), the venting of the annular space 44 is used, while via the valve 47 (with the valve 46 closed), the negative pressure in the annular space 44 is controlled. The valves 46 and 47 can be controlled by the central unit 15 of the test system 10. Furthermore, an annular space 48 is formed between the (inner) seal 41 and the surrounding seal 42, which is always vented via a bore 49.
For attaching the measuring chamber 22 to the housing wall 12, the connecting portion 40 is brought into contact with the housing wall 12. Subsequently, the annular space 44 between the two seals 42 and 43 is evacuated by a corresponding control of the valves 46, 47.
As a result, the connecting region 40, together with the measuring chamber 22, is pulled against the housing wall 12, the seals 41 to 43 deforming on contact with the housing wall 12. The actual pressing of the connection region 40 or the measuring chamber 22 takes place exclusively over the region of the two outer seals 42 and 43. The fact that the other annular space 48 is vented to the atmosphere, prevents negative pressure on the central seal 42 and the Seal 41 enters the region of the measuring chamber 22 and thus falsifies the measurement. The seals 41 to 43 thus have different tasks. While by means of the seals 42 and 43, the fastening or
Suction of the measuring chamber 22 takes place on the wall 12, the (inner) seal 41 serves to seal the measuring chamber 22, so that no external air can reach the measuring chamber 22 via the connecting region 40 in the case of the use of negative pressure for measurement from the outside Use of overpressure to measure no air from the measuring chamber 22 to the outside penetrates.
The test system described so far 10 and its measuring chamber 22 and its attachment to the housing wall 12 can be modified in many ways, without departing from the spirit. In particular, the shape and configuration of the connecting region 40 and the seals 41 to 43 can be modified.
