Dans le but de mieux indiquer les caractéristiques de l'invention, on décrit ci-après, à titre d'exemple, sans aucun caractère limitatif, une forme de réalisation préférée, aussi bien d'un raccord à vis que du procédé pour sa réalisation, en se référant aux dessins annexés dans lesquels: la fig. 1 représente une vue en perspective d'un raccord à vis selon l'invention; la fig. 2 représente une vue latérale du raccord à vis de la fig. 1, en association avec l'extrémité d'un rayon; la fig. 3 représente, à une plus grande échelle, une vue en coupe transversale prise le long de la ligne Ill-llI en fig. 1; la fig. 4 représente une vue en coupe transversale prise le long de la ligne IV-IV en fig. 3;
The present invention relates to a screw connection which can be screwed onto the threaded end of a wheel spoke, so that with the aid of several wheel spokes and screw connections of this kind, it is possible to adapt a wheel hub is fitted in a wheel rim. In addition, it relates to a method for producing a screw connection of this type.
More specifically, the invention relates to a screw connection of the type which consists mainly of a body which is formed by a trunk which ends in a head, this body being provided with an axial cavity comprising an internal screw thread which allows the screw connection to be screwed onto the threaded end of a spoke.
Screw connections of this type are known in general and an example of these screw connections is described inter alia in Belgian Patent 1,009,937.
A disadvantage of conventional embodiments of known screw connections of this type is that shocks and vibrations can cause the screw connection to loosen slowly, so that after a while, a insufficient traction force remains on the spoke to ensure proper wheel centering.
A solution for this problem is known from European Patent Application No. 0838352, in which a screw connection of the aforementioned type is described by which an insert made of a deformable material, for example a synthetic material, in which there is a cavity which is disposed coaxially with the threaded cavity of the screw connection, said cavity having a diameter which is such that when the screw fitting is applied to the threaded end, gets a tightening effect.
By screwing the spoke into the deformable material which is present in the head of the screw connection, a higher friction is obtained between the spoke and the screw connection, so that the screw connection will not loosen under the influence shock and / or vibration.
Although this screw connection offers a solution for the problem, it has the disadvantage that the structure of a screw connection of this type is relatively complicated, since instead of a single element must now form two elements, specifically the actual screw connection made of metal and the plastic insert; there must also be an additional assembly step to assemble said two elements.
Since the plastic material is a relatively soft material, the risk is furthermore that after repeatedly screwing the screw connection over the threaded end, for example following the subsequent regular adjustment of the tension in the spokes. the friction between the insert and the radius decreases considerably.
Due to the fact that the additional tightening can only be performed exclusively in the head, it must also be ensured that the spokes are sufficiently long to penetrate into the insert. This also requires a relatively precise length of the spokes, since on the one hand they must penetrate into the insert and, on the other hand, they can not at the same time pass through the head.
The object of the present invention is to provide a screw connection by which one or more of the aforementioned drawbacks are eliminated.
For this purpose, the object of the invention is as described in the first claim, consisting of a screw connection of the aforementioned type, characterized in that the body of the screw connection, has at least one deformation of the screw thread at least inward.
In this way, we obtain the fact that the threaded cavity has a narrowed portion to the height of the aforementioned deformation, this has the consequence that, when screwing the screw connection with the narrowed portion on the spoke, we obtain additional resistance and an additional clamping effect, so that any loosening under the influence of vibrations and shocks can be avoided.
By the term "clamping effect", it is meant in this case that a tightening greater than that of a possible tightening which is already present when screwing a screw connection and a radius which does not are not equipped with special equipment.
It is clear that for the aforementioned deformation, no additional insert is no longer necessary, so that the disadvantages related thereto are excluded.
Preferably, the aforesaid deformation extends at least over part of the trunk; in other words, it is located at least partly below the head of the screw connection.
In this way, the length of the spokes to be used is subjected to less severe constraints, since in the case of a radius that does not penetrate into the head, a tightening effect is still obtained.
The aforesaid deformation is preferably carried out via a local recess in the outer side of the trunk, which is of the type such that the screw thread is pressed inwards into the axial cavity. Such a recess in the metal body provides a solid and permanent clamping effect. In addition, there is no need for additional patches or the like.
The object of the invention also consists of a method for producing a screw connection according to claim 15 and characterized in that the deformation is carried out by tightening the screw connection between at least two molded elements, of which at least one is provided with a protruding portion which, upon tightening, produces a local recess and gives rise to deformation.
Preferably, the recess will be oblong, so that the longitudinal axis is parallel to the axis of the screw connection. Thus, the risk of a possible buckling of the trunk is excluded.
Other preferred features will be apparent from the following description and subclassified claims. These characteristics can be combined as desired.
In order to better indicate the characteristics of the invention, a preferred embodiment of both a screw connection and the method for its production is described by way of example without any limiting character. with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a screw connection according to the invention; fig. 2 is a side view of the screw connection of FIG. 1, in association with the end of a spoke; fig. 3 represents, on a larger scale, a cross-sectional view taken along the line III-III in FIG. 1; fig. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along line IV-IV in FIG. 3;
fig. 5 shows a cross-sectional view similar to that of FIG. 4, after having screwed the screw connection to a spoke; fig. 6 shows schematically the method for producing a screw connection according to the invention.
As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, a screw connection 1 comprises a body, preferably a metal body such as an aluminum body, steel, brass and the like, formed by a trunk 2 ending in a head 3, this trunk, and in this case the entire body being provided with an axial cavity 4 preferably through, provided with an internal screw thread 5 which allows the screw connection 1 to be screwed onto the threaded end of a spoke 7.
The screw connection 1 which is formed as shown in the drawings by what is known as a polyaxial screw connection, can of course also be a hexagonal screw connection or the like. This screw connection 1 is furthermore provided with one or more threaded portions which make it possible to screw on the screw connection 1 which, in the example represented, is constituted on the one hand by a threaded portion 8 at the location of the head 3 in the form of a transverse slot 9 with which can cooperate a screwdriver, and secondly a holding portion 10 at the location of the free end of the trunk 2 on which can be disposed a key of screw connection, which is formed by a prismatic part comprising a series of flat surfaces 11.
In the example of FIG. 3, the screw thread 5 of the screw connection 1 starts only at a defined distance D1 from the lower edge 12, so that a guide 13 is formed which facilitates the initial application of the screw connection 1 on the spoke 7, while hiding the screw thread of the threaded end 6 in the assembled state. It is nevertheless clear that, according to one variant, the screw thread 5 can also start from this edge. lower 12.
In the trunk 2, near the head 3, a recess 14 is made in the material, in the direction of the axis of the screw connection 1, which gives rise to a plastic deformation 15 on the wall 16 of the cavity 4 as shown in detail in FIGS. 3 and 4.
This deformation 15 causes the spoke 7 to meet a resistance during screwing which exists at this location following the shrunk diameter D2.
The aforementioned resistance comes from the fact that the wall 16 of the cavity 4 is pushed at least partly outwards by the radius 7, in an elastic manner, during screwing with the screw connection 1.
After having screwed the screw connection 1 to the spoke 7, the end of the spoke 7 is approximately at the location A indicated in FIG. 3, the wall 16 continues to exert, at the location of the deformation 15, an elastic pressing force on the spoke 7, so that the latter is clamped with a defined pressure P as shown in FIG. 5. In this way, the screw connection 1 can not be loosened due to shocks or vibrations.
It should be noted that the aforementioned recess 14 is, as shown, preferably of oblong shape, the longitudinal direction of the recess 14 being parallel to the axial direction of the screw connection 1. In this way, the diameter, although small of a fitting With this type 1 can be subjected to a high pressure without deforming the complete screw connection 1.
The recess 14, as can be clearly seen in FIG. 4, is also preferably V-shaped to obtain an optimal deformation in the center. In practice, the deformation will extend, in the axial direction, over at least three threads, and / or have a length D3 of the order of magnitude of three millimeters to obtain an optimal clamp. The deformation 15 is such that it extends progressively from the edges to the middle. In this way, no sharp edges are obtained at the transitions, so that the risk of possible degradation of the radii is excluded. 3, it is shown that the deformation preferably only begins at a defined distance D4 from the beginning of the screw thread 5.
In this way, the screw connection 1 can first easily mesh with the screw thread 5 on the spoke 7, the clamping effect occurring only after having already partially screwed the screw connection 1 on the threaded end 6. As shown, the recess is preferably also located outside the holding portion 10 and is applied in a cylindrical portion of the trunk 2, so that the surfaces 11 are not deformed. The amplitude D5 Deformation can be determined by trial and error as a function of the desired clamping effect.
Preferably, the screw connection 1 is made by first making a conventional screw connection 1, then making the aforesaid deformation 15 by tightening the screw connection 1, as shown schematically in FIG. 6, between at least two molded elements 17 and 18, at least one of the molded elements being provided with a projecting portion 19 which implements the said recess 14 and the aforementioned deformation 15. Using molded elements 17-18, in other terms elements whose shape more or less wife that of the screw connection 1, minimizes the risk of complete deformation of the screw connection 1 during the realization of the recess; in other words, the deformation remains very local.
The present invention is in no way limited to the embodiment described above and shown in the drawings; on the contrary, a screw connection of this type, and a method for its implementation, can be implemented in different variants without departing from the scope of the invention.
Thus, for example, the deformation 15 need not be obtained by means of a recess 14. It can be obtained in another way, according to a variant, the cylindrical cavity 4 can for example be compressed over part of its length to obtain an oval shape.
Similarly, the trunk and the head of the screw connection can take any shape.
Finally, it will be pointed out that the characteristic linked to the fact that at least one tightening is performed in a part of the trunk 2, therefore at least below the head 3, also provides an advantage, more specifically the fact that , as indicated, the length of the spokes 7 must meet less stringent requirements, and this without taking into account the fact that the tightening is achieved by means of a deformation 15 as indicated above or in another way.
