The present invention relates to a lock for a pipe joint according to claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to a equipped with such a locking pipe connection according to claim 8, and a corresponding pipe joint fitting according to claim 10.
As a simple, compact connection for valves with pipes and fittings, preferably with T and cross-shaped fittings, connections by means of push-in joints are known. For such a connection, the parts to be pushed into one another are usually equipped with inner cams (at the socket end) or outer cams (at the spigot end) extending essentially along a circumferential line of the corresponding tube. The inner and outer cam are preferably arranged and dimensioned so that they are substantially uniformly distributed over the circumference of the tube and have spaces through which the cams of the other tube part can be pushed through. A positive pipe connection is created by the twisting of the two telescoped parts, the outer cams engaging behind the inner cams.
This type of pipe connection is also referred to as a "bayonet lock".
It has been found that such a pipe connection, in particular, when it is a connection between a pipe and a fitting (such as a slide), can spontaneously solve. This can happen especially when carelessly manipulated on the valve. In order to prevent accidents by such unintentional disconnection of pipe joints, additional metal devices have been proposed: e.g. Locking screws; Springs, which hold cam heels in designated niches and the like.
Locking screws can injure the pipes or pipe parts by large, one-sided and locally limited forces. Metallic devices have also proven to be generally susceptible to corrosion. However, injured pipes or corroded safety devices call into question the safety of the pipe joint.
The object of the present invention is to propose a simple and secure locking for pipe connections described above.
This object is achieved according to the features of independent claims 1, 8 and 10. Further embodiments emerge from the dependent claims. The figures represent - schematically and without limiting the scope of the invention - a preferred embodiment of the invention. FIG. 1 shows a section through the tube plane of a T-shaped fitting with three slides; FIG. 2 shows a 3-D representation of a locking piece according to the invention before installation; FIG. FIG. 3 shows a 3-D representation of a locking piece according to the invention after installation; FIG. 4 shows a cross section through a secured with a locking piece according to the invention bayonet lock.
Fig. 1 shows a section through the tube plane of a push-fit 1 comprehensive T-shaped fitting 2 with three sliders 3, 3 ', 3' '(drawn in partial view). The inner cams 5, 5 ', 5 "extending along a circumferential line of the corresponding sleeve end 4, 4', 4" are partially visible. The spigot ends 6, 6 ', 6 "inserted in the sleeves are dull, their outer cams 7, 7', 7 '' are not visible in this illustration.
At the sleeve ends 4, 4 ', 4' 'is - in a substantially to the inner cam 5, 5', 5 '' parallel groove 8, 8 ', 8' 'and seen from the outside behind the inner cam lying - a sealing ring 9, 9 ', 9 <' '> arranged. Thus, the adhesion of preferably a slight pitch having cams can be independent of the sealing function of the connection. The sealing ring 9, 9 ', 9' 'may be formed as a lip seal or as an O-ring. In particular, the choice of an O-ring allows a preferred pipe joint which is more compact, i. can be executed in a shorter design than can be achieved otherwise with usual for this purpose lip seals.
Fig. 2 shows in a 3-D representation formed in the form of a tube segment, inventive locking before installation. The locking piece 10 has a tangential attraction surface 11 and an axial attraction surface 12. A round hole serves as an attack surface 13 for an unlocking tool. The locking piece 10 is preferably made in one piece from a material that is softer than the tubes to be locked and therefore can not injure them. A locking piece of injection-molded plastic is preferred because despite high dimensional accuracy low production costs incurred and because no corrosion must be feared.
Fig. 3 shows in a 3-D representation of an inventive lock after installation. For locking such bayonet locks a locking piece 10 - in the state of the form-fitting pipe connection - in at least one intermediate space 14 of the inner 5, 5 'and outer cam 7, 7' are arranged. Inserted into its end position shown here and in Fig. 4, the locking piece 10 retains a secure fit, because the tangential tightening surface 11 jams under the one end of the inner cam 5, which limits the gap 14 on one side and at the same time the axial attraction surface 12 at the end of the gap 14 on the other side limiting outer cam 7 'is present.
The locking piece 10 is visible in the installed state from the outside and allows easy visual inspection of the lock. Eye-catching coloring for the locking piece 10 (e.g., in eye-catching color, fluorescent, etc.) further facilitates visual inspection.
By means of the inventive lock and the installation of the preferred O-ring seal are fittings with a T- or cross-shaped fitting, e.g. with three or four valves, can be mounted in the factory or on the construction site, which are characterized by safe and compact pipe connections. The pipe connection can be easily checked at the factory or later on the construction site based on the correct fit of the locking piece.
