The present invention relates to the field of lighting technology. It relates to a luminaire, comprising a lamp which emits light in a first light cone in the direction of a lamp axis. State of the art
If a flat surface of a certain size is to be illuminated specifically with a luminaire, this can be achieved either by arranging a lamp which emits a light cone with a comparatively small opening angle at a sufficient distance from the surface to be illuminated, or a lamp which emits a cone of light with a large opening angle, placed close to the surface to be illuminated. In one case, the large distance between the lamp surface and light leads to glare when an observer approaches the illuminated surface from the side. In the other case, the lamp arranged close to the surface disturbs the visual appearance. This becomes particularly clear when the lamp under consideration is a pendant lamp hanging above a table or the like.
If the light source (lamp) of the pendant lamp is far above the table top, the table can be well illuminated, but people sitting at the table are easily dazzled. Is the e.g. The lamp equipped with a lampshade just above the table top does not have the glare effect, but the lampshade, which is then at the level of the head of the people sitting at the table, has a disruptive effect because it is in the direct field of vision. Presentation of the invention
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a luminaire which avoids the disadvantages described and, in particular when illuminated a sufficiently large area, avoids lateral glare effects without itself appearing in a particularly disruptive manner.
The object is achieved by the entirety of the features of claim 1. The essence of the invention is to emit a largely glare-free light cone with a relatively small opening angle from a comparatively distant lamp, which is only expanded sufficiently shortly before the surface to be illuminated by a Fresnel lens in order to illuminate the desired larger surface. Since the Fresnel lens is translucent and, due to its transparency and small thickness, it hardly appears optically from the side, glare-free and optical "transparency" of the lamp can be achieved in a simple manner in this way.
A first preferred embodiment of the lamp according to the invention is characterized in that the Fresnel lens as a circular disk, which has a multiplicity of concentric lens rings, each with a sawtooth-shaped cross-sectional profile, and that the Fresnel lens is arranged perpendicularly and concentrically to the lamp axis. In this way, circular illumination can be achieved without preference for one direction.
The inventive principle is particularly effective when, according to a second preferred embodiment, the luminaire is designed as a pendant luminaire that can be attached to a ceiling, the lamp being arranged near the ceiling and the Fresnel lens being arranged below the lamp.
A preferred further development of this embodiment is characterized in that the Fresnel lens is suspended on a suspension cable running in the lamp axis, that the lamp is accommodated in a lamp housing, that the lamp housing is attached to a fastening bracket in which the suspension cable is preferably attached at the upper end a loop, is detachably attached, that the lamp is designed as a low-voltage halogen lamp, that the lamp can be connected to the AC voltage network via an electronic transformer, which electronic transformer switches the lamp on and off and / or continuously controls its illuminance, and that the suspension rope is designed as a wire rope and is connected to the electronic transformer as a touch sensor.
The disc-shaped Fresnel lens hanging on a thin wire rope is of very little visual importance. By means of the sensor control via the wire rope, the luminaire can be actuated by simply touching the wire rope without additional mechanical switching means arranged on the lamp or on the wall. If the illuminated area is to be changed, the wire rope can be shortened or lengthened very easily, or a different Fresnel lens can be attached to the bracket.
The lamp becomes particularly compact if, according to another further development of the embodiment, the electronic transformer is accommodated in a transformer housing which is attached to the mounting bracket above the lamp housing, and the mounting bracket is made of a metal and the electrical connection between the suspension cable and the mediated electronic transformer, and if the lamp housing and the transformer housing are cylindrical and of the same diameter and arranged concentrically to the lamp axis.
The Fresnel lens can consist of a pressed or cut glass. However, such a lens is relatively heavy and requires a sufficiently strong wire rope for hanging. It is therefore advantageous in many cases if the Fresnel lens consists of a transparent plastic, preferably a polycarbonate. Such a polycarbonate is e.g. commercially available under the "Lexan" brand.
Since the Fresnel lens is irradiated by the first cone of light from the lamp, the light falls on with different angles of incidence depending on the radial axis distance. In order to obtain a uniform light distribution within the second light cone, it is advantageous if, according to a further preferred embodiment, the differences between the diameters of adjacent lens rings are constant and the steepness of the sawtooth-shaped cross-sectional profile of the individual lens rings decreases from the inside to the outside.
Further embodiments result from the dependent claims. Brief explanation of the figures
The invention will be explained in more detail below on the basis of exemplary embodiments in connection with the drawing. 1 shows in longitudinal section a preferred embodiment of a lamp according to the invention in the form of a pendant lamp with a Fresnel lens suspended on a suspension cable; FIG. 2 shows the upper part of the lamp from FIG. 1 in sectional side view A according to FIG. 1; and FIG. 3 shows the upper part of the lamp from FIG. 1 in view B from below according to FIG. 1. Ways of carrying out the invention
In Fig. 1, a preferred embodiment of a lamp according to the invention in the form of a pendant lamp is shown in longitudinal section. The lamp or pendant lamp 10 is provided for fastening to the ceiling and is preferably used to illuminate a table or the like standing under the lamp (not shown in FIG. 1). The lamp 10 essentially consists of a lamp part placed directly under the ceiling , which comprises a lamp 15 with the associated power supply, and a disc-shaped Fresnel lens 22, which is arranged hanging on a suspension cable 20 at a distance below the lamp 15. The power supply is preferably designed as an electronic transformer 12, which enables both switching on and off and dimming of the lamp 15, and which will be discussed in more detail below.
The lamp 15 is designed as a halogen low-voltage lamp and comprises a bulb 15a as the actual light source, which is accommodated in an annular lamp housing 24 together with a reflector 15b arranged above and directed downward. The lamp emits light downwards in the direction of a vertical lamp axis 28. An outer blind ring 16 attached to the lower end of the lamp housing 24 limits the emitted light towards the outside, so that a first light cone 26 with a comparatively limited opening angle is produced. An inner blind ring 17, which is arranged concentrically to the outer blind ring 16 and somewhat lower, prevents a person sitting under the lamp from looking directly into the bulb 15a.
The inner blind ring 17 is fastened to the outer blind ring 16 by means of two opposite connecting webs 25 (FIGS. 2 and 3).
The electronic transformer 12 is accommodated in a likewise annular transformer housing 11, which for aesthetic and structural reasons has the same diameter as the lamp housing 24, and is placed coaxially above the lamp housing 24. Starting from the electronic transformer 12, two connecting lines 13 are led to the lamp housing 24 and connected there with their inner conductors to two screw terminals in order to supply the lamp 15 with voltage. Both housings 11 and 24 are fastened on one side to a mounting bracket 14, which extends above the transformer housing 11 from the center outwards to the edge, is then guided vertically downwards along the two housings 11 and 24 and below the lamp housing 24 in ends in a hook-shaped end bent towards the center.
At the hook-shaped end of the mounting bracket 14, a notch 18 is made in the lamp axis 28, in which the suspension cable 20 for the Fresnel lens 22 is detachably suspended with a loop 19 (see also FIG. 2). The mounting bracket 14, which is made of metal, is relatively wide at the height of the housings 11, 24 in order to enable stable fastening of the housings 11, 24, while it runs out very narrowly in the lower hook-shaped region in order to minimize the light from the first Shade light cone 26.
The hanging rope with the loop 19 in the fastening bracket 14 is a thin, optically unobtrusive wire rope. At its lower end a bolt-shaped holder 21 is attached, which is equipped at its lower end with a head 21a widened in diameter. The disk-shaped, circular Fresnel lens 22 has a corresponding opening in the center of the circle, with which it can be pushed over the bolt-shaped part of the holder 21 and is seated and held on the head 21a. The end of the suspension cable 20 can be detachably fastened in the holder (e.g. in a blind hole with a grub screw that can be screwed in at the side).
In this way, it is possible to cut the end of the rope to a suitable length before attaching the holder 21, in order to adjust the length of the lamp 10 to the respective local conditions.
The Fresnel lens 22 has a flat surface on its upper side. On the underside, a plurality of lens rings 23 are formed concentrically to the center of the pane or lamp axis 28, each of which has a sawtooth-shaped cross-sectional profile, the steep flank of the sawtooth being oriented outwards and the less steep flank being oriented inwards. The differences between the diameters of adjacent lens rings 23 are constant. In contrast, the steepness of the sawtooth-shaped cross-sectional profile of the individual lens rings 23 decreases from the inside to the outside according to a precisely calculated function of the radius. It is thereby achieved that the first light cone 26 emanating from the lamp 15 at the level of the Fresnel lens 22 merges smoothly into a second (widened) light cone 27 (dashed lines in FIG. 1) with an enlarged opening angle.
The Fresnel lens 22 is comparatively thin and consists of a transparent material, so that when viewed from the side (just like the thin suspension rope 20) it appears little in appearance. In principle, it is conceivable to produce the Fresnel lens 22 from a pressed or ground glass. However, such a lens would have a relatively high dead weight, as a result of which the suspension cable 20 and the fastening bracket would be subjected to greater stress. It is therefore advantageous to use a transparent plastic with good optical properties for the Fresnel lens 22. A polycarbonate, which is commercially available, for example, under the "Lexan" brand name, has proven successful.
The design of the mounting bracket 14 as a metal bracket and the design of the suspension rope 20 as a wire rope results in the possibility of realizing a simple and elegant control of the lamp 10 (switching on and off and / or dimming) in connection with the electronic transformer 12. An electronic transformer known as "TouchTronic" or "TouchFormer" is known from the prior art (see also the publication EP-A1-0 346 405), which makes it possible to touch defined sensor surfaces or conductive surfaces to switch or dim a connected low-voltage lamp on the low-voltage side of the transformer.
If the mounting bracket 14 is now connected in a suitable manner to the low-voltage side of the electronic transformer 12, the lamp 15 can be switched on and off or its illuminance can be changed (dimmed) by simply touching the bracket or the electrically conductive suspension cable 20 attached to it.
The following characteristic mass or values can be given for a tested pendant lamp:
Diameter of the Fresnel lens 22: 450 mm
Outside diameter of the housing 11, 24: 120 mm
Distance suspension point - ceiling: 165 mm
Distance Fresnel lens - ceiling: 600-1000 mm
Lamp 15: 12V / 100W
Thick Fresnel lens 22: = 10 mm
Beam angle light cone 26: 8 DEG
Overall, the invention results in a luminaire that enables a broad and at the same time glare-free light distribution with an elegant, aesthetic overall impression and is particularly flexible and versatile as a pendant luminaire above tables in the living area or in meeting rooms.
