The invention relates to a plug-in connection, in particular for suction devices, with a plug-in body through which an inlet duct and an outlet duct are guided, the inlet duct and outlet duct having hose connections arranged adjacent to one side of the plug-in body.
Plug connections of this type are known for suction devices in medical technology. Here, two metal pipes are guided through a plug-in body, which is arranged in a container lid. The container lid sits on a suction container, which is used to hold secreted secretions, among other things. A metal tube has a straight shape above and below the container lid and is used to connect the suction container to a vacuum source. The second metal tube has a straight shape below the container lid and is angled above the container lid. It is used to introduce the aspirated secretion into the suction container. The two metal tubes protrude in different lengths into the suction container without touching it. The metal pipe connected to the vacuum source does not protrude as far into the suction container.
The aspirated secretion flows at high speed into the secretion already collected on the bottom of the suction container. As a result, the collected secretion can foam up and / or liquid splashes can be whirled up, which can be sucked into the supply lines to the vacuum source, upstream filters in the vacuum source or into the vacuum source itself and contaminate it. The inflow of the secretion can also lead to undesirable container vibrations.
This results in the task of creating a plug connection in which foaming or spraying of the accumulated liquids and the associated contamination of the vacuum source is prevented. In addition, container vibrations should not occur as a result of the inflow of the liquid.
The object is achieved according to the invention for a generic plug connection in that flow guiding bodies with at least one flow guiding surface are arranged on the side of the plug body opposite the hose connections at the outlet opening of the inlet channel and / or the inlet opening of the outlet channel, and in that each of the inlet channel and / or the outlet channel assigned flow guide surface facing the direction of flow running parallel to the axis of the respective channel and intersecting the axis of this channel. Incoming material is deflected in its direction towards the container wall and the air sucked in by the outlet channel, which possibly contains splashes of the sucked-in liquid, is deflected in such a way that the splashes do not get into the outlet channel.
It is preferably possible that the flow guide body (s) is / are conical, the outlet opening of the inlet channel facing the side of the corresponding flow guide body with the smaller diameter and the inlet opening of the outlet channel facing the side of the corresponding flow guide body with the larger diameter. In the case of a possible design of a flow guide body in the form of a cone which is divided from the tip to the base, for example halved, or in the form of an acute-angled cone, the pointed end would be arranged against the lower end of the inlet duct, while the base of the cone or cone part against the tank bottom of the suction container is directed.
Conversely, a flow guide body designed in this way would be aligned against the outlet channel in such a way that the base of the cone or cone part faces the outlet channel, while the tip is directed at the bottom of the suction container. This embodiment offers the advantage that the plug-in connection is easy to manufacture and can be cleaned easily and easily in use. The flow guide body assigned to the outlet channel can also be plate-shaped and cut the axis of the outlet channel vertically. The other flow guide body can also have the shape of a flat plate. In principle, other forms of the flow guide body are also possible according to the invention.
It is important that the surface of the associated flow guide body facing the inlet opening of the outlet channel covers the inlet opening at a distance in an axial projection. This reliably prevents whirled up splashes from getting into the drainage channel and contaminating the vacuum source. This can also be done in that the surface of the associated flow guide body facing the inlet opening of the outlet channel is designed as a cap which is open towards the inlet opening of the outlet channel, the cap surrounding the inlet opening of the outlet channel at a distance.
In order to avoid the splashing of liquid when flowing into the liquid collected on the bottom of the container, it is necessary that the flow guide surface assigned to the inlet channel covers the outlet opening of the inlet channel at a distance in an axial projection. As a result, the liquid introduced is distributed radially and either introduced via the container wall or directly at a decelerated speed. This prevents the liquid collected in the suction container from foaming, swirling splashes or the vibration of the suction container. It is possible that the flow guide surface assigned to the inlet channel rests with its one end on the edge of the outlet opening of the inlet channel.
It is also advantageous if the end of the flow guide surface assigned to the inlet channel, which is initially located to the inlet channel, is spaced from the edge of the outlet opening of the inlet channel, preferably at a distance of 1 mm.
The embodiment of the invention is particularly advantageous in which the inlet channel has a tubular extension on the side of the plug body facing away from the hose connections and the flow guide bodies are arranged on the tubular extension.
According to the invention, the plug connection can be used for secretion suction containers.
According to the invention, these suction containers, in particular for medical applications, are equipped with a container body and a container lid, a plug connection described above being arranged in the container lid.
A possible embodiment of the invention will be explained by way of example with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4.
1 shows a plug-in connection with flow guide bodies, FIG. 2 shows a plug-in connection with flow guide bodies in perspective view, FIG. 3 shows a section through a plug-in connection with flow guide bodies and FIG. 4 shows a plug-in connection, inserted into the container lid of a suction container.
1 shows a plug connection which is formed from a plug body 1 and an inlet channel 2 and an outlet channel 3 which are passed through the plug body 1. The inlet channel 2 and the outlet channel 3 are on one side of the plug body 1 with hose connections 4; 5 provided. The inlet channel 2 is formed on the other side of the plug body 1 by a vertical tube 6, which ends above the flow guide body 7. In this example, the flow guide body 7 is shaped like a part from an obliquely angled cone. The outlet channel 3, on the other hand, opens directly below the plug-in body 1. The flow guide body 8, which here is shaped like the flow guide body 7 on the side of the inlet channel 2, is arranged with its base in the direction of the outlet channel 3.
Fig. 1 also shows a sealing ring 9 which surrounds the plug body 1 for the purpose of sealing against the container lid of a suction container.
2 shows a perspective illustration of the arrangement of the flow guide bodies 7; 8 in relation to inlet and outlet duct 2; 3. This can also be seen very well in a sectional view of the plug connection from FIG. 3. In addition, a cap 10 is shown here, which encloses the inlet opening of the outlet channel 3 in a contact-free manner and at a sufficient distance to ensure the desired suction. A cap 10 can be made in one piece together with the flow guide body 8 or can be attached to the flow guide body 8 as a separate part.
Fig. 4 shows a possible use of the connector for the suction of secretions. The plug connection with plug body 1 and hose connections 4; 5, which are connected to the tubes for the supply of the secretion 11 or for the connection of the vacuum source 12, is inserted into the container lid 13 of a suction container 14.
