The invention relates to a hearing aid with an amplifier unit arranged in a housing, at least one rigid circuit board carrying an induction coil (hearing coil).
In the case of a small hearing device of this type that can be worn on the head (hearing device / ITE hearing device that can be worn in the ear or hearing device / BTE hearing device or hearing glasses to be worn behind the ear), it is known from German utility model 7 246 215 to arrange an amplifier in the hearing device housing that consists of two printed circuit boards folded on approximately parallel planes, which are electrically conductively connected to one another by a web and which carry electrical components and electrical-mechanical operating elements. On the underside of the circuit structure of the lower circuit board, an induction coil (hearing coil) is arranged, which, because of its size, runs diagonally across the circuit board. The induction coil is held in a web of the amplifier assembly which projects above the circuit board and is wired or soldered to the amplifier circuit.
In order to isolate the coil from the conductor tracks and tinning of the circuit board, an electrically insulating layer is additionally applied to the side of the circuit board carrying the induction coil. A selector switch of the hearing aid serves to switch the induction coil (hearing coil) to the input of the amplifier instead of the microphone of the hearing aid. A loudspeaker signal, e.g. of a telephone that is not part of the hearing aid, inductively connect to the amplifier.
With the hearing aids to be worn on the head with the ever smaller dimensions of their installation spaces, it is difficult to accommodate the components required for amplifying the sound or for signal processing. The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a hearing aid of the type mentioned at the outset with a compact amplifier unit.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features of patent claim 1. The induction coil, which takes up a relatively large amount of space, is then better integrated into the amplifier unit without the structure and manufacture of the amplifier becoming more complex. Service friendliness is also maintained, as the induction coil can be exchangeably attached to the circuit board.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in claims 2 to 5. Thereafter, an arrangement of the induction coil is used or recessed in the circuit board or in a cutout or on an edge cutout of the circuit board, which avoids direct closer contact of the coil with line connections, conductor tracks or tinning of the circuit board surface. This eliminates the need for an additional, electrically insulating layer on the circuit board in the area of the coil. By using the induction coil in the printed circuit board, there is also the possibility of making easier contacting of the coil against the electrical conductor tracks of the printed circuit board or to the amplifier circuit.
Further details and advantages of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the exemplary embodiments shown in the figures.
Show it:
Fig. 1 shows a schematic, sectional representation of a housing consisting of two shells for a BTE hearing aid, with an amplifier unit arranged therein, which has two rigid circuit boards, which are electrically conductively connected to one another by a flexible zone, and the induction coil according to the invention in a circuit board is integrated,
2 is a plan view of an unfolded circuit board amplifier unit with an induction coil inserted into a recessed edge section of the one rigid circuit board,
3 shows a view in the direction of arrow A according to FIG. 2 of the arrangement of the induction coil on the printed circuit board,
4 shows a section I-I according to FIG. 2,
5 shows the induction coil according to FIG. 3 in a top view and
Fig. 6 shows a further arrangement of the induction coil in a circuit board.
The hearing aid 1 shown in FIG. 1 has a housing which consists of two housing shells 2, 3. In the BTE hearing aid, which is schematically shown as an exemplary embodiment, there is a space 4 in the lower area of the housing for receiving a power source / battery 5, which is accessible via a swiveling housing part 6 (battery charger). With 7 is an actuating element e.g. a volume control indicated. In the housing 2, 3 there is also an amplifier unit consisting of two rigid circuit boards 8, 9 which are connected to one another by a flexible zone 10. The printed circuit boards 8, 9 are equipped in a manner known per se with components such as resistors 12, capacitors 13, chips 14, operating or adjusting elements 15.
According to the invention and according to the illustrated embodiment, an induction coil (hearing coil) 16 is also inserted into a cutout 11 in the printed circuit board 8 and contacted with the amplifier circuit via connections 17, 18. A sound transducer 19 (microphone and / or receiver) is also arranged on the printed circuit board 9. The electrical conductor tracks (not shown) of the printed circuit boards 8, 9 are electrically conductively connected to the amplifier circuit via flexible conductor track sections 20 of the flexible zone 10.
To supply power to the amplifier circuit and its electrical components, the printed circuit boards can be connected to the current source 5 via spring contacts 21, 22. To dampen and support the circuit board amplifier unit in the hearing device housing 2, 3, a damping insulating material 23, e.g. a rubber material or plastic material with a high damping value. In particular, the insulating material 23 is intended to support the amplifier equipped with the transducers 19 in a soft-elastic manner in the housing, the support being able to be formed over the whole area, in sections, in a line or in the form of a point.
2, the opened amplifier consists of the rigid printed circuit boards 8, 9, which are connected to one another with the interposition of a third printed circuit board 24 via flexible zones 25, 26. The induction coil 16 is attached to a recessed edge section 34 of the printed circuit board 8. For example, end pieces 27 of the coil 16 can be fastened against the printed circuit board. On the other hand, plug connections or the like are also. possible. At the same time, the electrical contacting of the coil winding to the amplifier circuit can also take place via the end pieces 27. In addition to the volume control 7 and the battery spring contacts 21, 22, a so-called MTO switch 28 is arranged on the printed circuit board 9, which is used to switch on the hearing aid (microphone operation), to switch to telephone operation / induction coil 16 and to switch off the hearing aid (0 position) .
Furthermore, the circuit boards are equipped with electrical and / or electro-mechanical amplifier components, not shown. According to the exemplary embodiment, the printed circuit board 9 is also assigned a programming socket 30 and a situation switch 29.
3 and 4 show a space-saving arrangement of the induction coil 16 in a recess 11 in the printed circuit board 8. The induction coil shown again in FIG. are attachable to the circuit board.
6, a printed circuit board 31 has a flexible coating 32 on the side carrying the electrical conductor tracks, not shown. In the rigid circuit board 31, an opening 33 covered by the coating 32 is provided, into which the induction coil 16 can be inserted. For example, the end pieces 27 of the coil body are fastened to the printed circuit board via adhesive points 35.
