The present invention relates to a packaging for dry products having on a first face an articulated pouring spout.
It is known to use cardboard packaging or the like for packaging certain dry products which can be both food products and cleaning products, etc., having a pouring spout. we find in particular on cans containing powdered milk a pouring spout made of a light metal sheet folded in a U and which is articulated on one of the faces of the box allowing to pour, after having drawn the spout outwards, the quantity of product desired.
Such packaging has the disadvantage of a relatively high manufacturing cost as well as in terms of the elimination or recycling of waste since two completely different materials are found on the same packaging.
The present invention proposes to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks by proposing a packaging having the advantages of a packaging with articulated pouring spout and eliminating the drawbacks of manufacturing cost and elimination of packaging currently known.
The packaging according to the invention is characterized in that the spout comes in one piece with the packaging, and that it comprises guide means between an open position and a closed position.
The advantage of the packaging according to the invention is the fact that the spout comes in one piece with the packaging and that the disposal problems are therefore resolved since the same material is used to manufacture the packaging. , and the fact that the guide means make it possible, on the one hand, to guide it and, on the other hand, to ensure a certain rigidity of the pouring spout at least during the lifetime of the packaging, therefore up to 'to the full use of the product it contains. In addition, manufacturing is simple and inexpensive.
According to an alternative embodiment, the packaging comprises a second face among the faces adjacent to the first, which is perpendicular thereto, the two faces having an extra thickness extending at least partially on their internal walls, the spout being located in this zone forming a dihedral whose edge is contained in the common edge of the two faces.
According to a preferred embodiment, the packaging is made of cardboard and the extra thickness is a second layer of said cardboard located inside the packaging. The dihedral of the pouring spout comprises a first flap delimited by a groove at least approximately perpendicular to the common edge of the two faces and an at least partially discontinuous precut in said first face and at least a part of which is on the common edge of said first and second faces. Said flap is integral with a second flap of the second layer having a cutout and a groove similar to those of the first layer, with the exception of the common edge which constitutes the edge of said dihedron. The second component is cut from the second layer of the second face and constitutes the guide for the spout.
This packaging is made of a material that is easy to dispose of or recycle, containing no other material than the main material. The manufacturing cost is of the same order of magnitude as a packaging without pouring spout since to manufacture it it suffices to use a cardboard sheet with precut and grooves which are usual in this field. The invention resides without the ingenious choice of precut and folds to obtain a pouring spout directly in the mass of the cardboard constituting the packaging.
The invention will be described in more detail using the attached drawing.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of the cardboard sheet intended to form a package having the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped.
Fig. 2 is a side view of the packaging according to the invention, part of a face of which is removed to see inside the guide of the pouring spout.
Fig. 3 is a partial perspective view of the packaging according to the invention.
The cardboard sheet has five grooves R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 parallel which will constitute the lateral edges of the packaging, and two horizontal grooves B1, B2 which will constitute the edges of the upper and lower bases of the packaging. The grooves R1, R2, R3, R4, continue beyond the grooves B1, B2 by pre-cuts forming the flaps S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S8, which will be folded down to form the upper bases and bottom of the package. The surfaces delimited by the grooves R1 to R5 and the grooves B1, B2, will constitute the faces F1, F2, F3, F4 while the elements F5 and F6 are the extra thicknesses or second layers which will come respectively inside the faces F1 and F2. The sheet shown here shows the interior walls of the package.
On the face F1 is a groove R6 perpendicular to the groove R1, which constitutes the common edge of the first face F1 and the second face F2, followed by a precut having the approximate shape of an arc of a circle C1. The precut also continues along the common edge R1 forming the precut C2. The arc of a circle C1 is interrupted at one place by a tongue 1. In principle, the precut of the tongue 1 is discontinuous and there is a hole t1 making it possible to grip the tongue 1. The faces F5 and F6 are respectively pressed against the inside faces F1 and F2. On the face F5 we find a groove R min 6 having the same length and corresponding to the same height as the groove R6 of the face F1, followed by a precut C3 similar to the precut Ci but without tongue.
This precut C3 does not continue along the edge merged with the groove R5. On the other hand, the curve C3 continues on the face F6 along a curved line C4 and ends with a straight precut C5. An oblong hole t2 is created in the face F6 whose purpose will be explained later.
During assembly of the box by conventional means, the face F5 will be assembled on the inside of the face F1 by gluing, the only elements which will not be glued are the tongue 1 and also a few mm around the contour C3. Concerning the face F6, it will be glued to the face F2 with the exception of the flap being delimited by the curves C4 and C5 and which constitutes the second flap of the dihedron of the pouring spout, therefore the guidance of said spout.
Thus, the pouring spout is formed, on the one hand, by the cut limited by C1, C2, R6 of the face F1 glued on the cut C3, R min 6 and it is the part which folds down towards the outside of the box after the pulling of the tongue 1 and, on the other hand, the flap formed by the cut C4, C5 on the face F6 which crosses during the opening the edge through the cut C2 and constitutes the guide of this spout. To limit the opening of the spout, the cutout C4 has a first stop b1 which collaborates in the fully open position with a stop b2 of the hole t2.
The elements appearing between parentheses in the two figures which follow, are elements which are not visible on these views but are under the elements whose references are not between parentheses
In fig. 3, there is shown the upper part of a package according to the invention, the spout being in the closed position. By pulling on the tongue 1 for the first time, the opening of the pouring spout is obtained by tearing off the discontinuous precut. By closing the box, the fact of pushing the tab 1 in the hole t1 and also the fact that the precut of the faces F1, F5 and F6, namely C1, C2, C3, C4 and C5 are frank precut and without burr obtain sufficient friction between these surfaces when closing to keep the shutter in the closed position.
In fig. 2, the spout is presented in solid lines in the closed position and in phantom in the open position. It should be noted that in the open position, the stop b2 comes against the stop b1 to prevent the spout from going beyond a desired angle.
It is also possible, to ensure that an untimely opening of the spout does not occur, to use a tab with a sticker provided with an adhesive which can be used several times.
