Beschreibung description
The invention relates to an open-cast excavator according to the preamble of claim 1. It also relates to a method for digging in earth material with such an excavator.
Open-cast bucket excavators, in particular larger backhoe excavators, have wire rope hoists for pivoting the stick to which the digging vessel is attached and for lifting the digging vessel. Such hoists are reliable and require little maintenance. They can be supported on sheaves at the upper end point of a long boom to create a long digging range for the backhoe. Because of the long boom in combination with the rope hoist, a high cutting force is generated when digging into high embankments. In addition, the wire rope hoist ensures a high degree of shock absorption during digging compared to other fastening methods. It also minimizes the size of the construction weight that has to be raised with each digging stroke compared to other methods. The bucket feeder is typically of the rack and pinion type in which a forked stick that straddles the boom is moved outward from the boom in the direction of the length of the stick by the bucket feeder. Because of this type of bucket feed motion, it has been difficult to provide a practical method to allow the trench device to tilt. As a result, the digging vessel is fixed in position at the end of the stem so that it cannot be provided with variable inclination positions to optimize the inclination for different positions in the slope. As a result, when the stem and the digging vessel are pivoted to a downward position on the bottom of the digging area, the inclination of the digging vessel cannot be adjusted to keep the tooth direction in line with the direction of the digging vessel movement, or the possibility of a larger digging vessel movement in a linear direction to accomplish. The possibility of making an extended cut at floor level is therefore limited. The lack of digging bucket tilt adjustment also limits the backhoe's flexibility in performing a number of other digging motions, such as material breakaway.
During the application of the bucket feed force when the digging vessel is moved into the earth material being dug, the opposite force of the earth material is transmitted back to the boom. As a result, the boom, which is pivotally attached to the frame of the backhoe, swings back or is "driven up". This movement of the boom, which is dependent on the skill of the operator, can limit the amount of bucket feed force that can be exerted and also leads to stress on the boom support ropes. The rack and pinion spoon feeder, in addition to allowing the boom to be raised or "raised", is a very expensive construction to manufacture and requires a few degrees of maintenance skill.
The invention has for its objects to provide a surface excavator with a bucket feed device and a method for digging in earth material with such a surface excavator, whereby boom boom should be prevented when a feed force is exerted on the digging vessel of the excavator. Furthermore, the invention aims to provide a bucket feed device for a surface excavator, which allows hydraulic fluid lines to be routed to the digging vessel of the digger, which is attached to the stick, in order to control the inclination of the digging vessel. In addition, the invention is intended to create a surface excavator with a stick actuated by a wire rope hoist, which generates a high digging force and, in cooperation with the bucket feed device of the digger, results in a high digging force at the bottom of the digging area.
According to the invention, these objects are achieved with the characterizing features of claims 1 and 13.
The bucket feed device is preferably of a hydraulic type with a cylinder and a piston which is hydraulically extended from the cylinder and retracted into the same. The frame may have a trestle that extends upward, and in this case the spoon feed device is connected to the trestle. The lifting device can be connected to the arm at a location overall above the boom and preferably has a wire rope hoist for pivoting the arm on the boom. The stick may have an upper portion that normally extends a distance above the boom, and the hoist is connected to or near the outer end of the upper portion of the stick.
During the digging movement of the digging vessel, the boom is clamped against the frame by the bucket feed device in order to prevent the boom from rising in a direction opposite to the digging direction of the digging vessel and towards the frame. At the same time, the stick can be pivoted by the lifting device to move the digging vessel and dig into the earth material to produce a high digging force that results from the exertion of both the bucket feed force and the stick pivot force.

1 and 2, to which reference is now made in general, there is shown an open-cast excavator which has a rotatable frame 2 with a lower part 4, with a scaffold frame 6, which extends upwards from the lower part 4, with a machine housing 8, which is fastened on the frame 2, with an operator's cab 10, which is fastened to the machine housing 8, with a hydraulic supply system 11 and with a crawler frame 12, on which the frame 2 is rotatably supported. The crawler frame 12 has a chassis 14, side frames (only one of which is shown) and an upwardly projecting swivel ring 18. The swivel ring 18 is surrounded by and meshes with a downwardly projecting swivel ring 20 which is part of the frame 2 to support the frame 2. The frame 2 is pivoted on the crawler frame 12 by two electric swivel motors and gears 22, which capture teeth along the circumference of the ring 20. The side frames extend laterally from opposite sides of the chassis 14. A crawler belt 24a is supported for continuous movement on the drum of a drive 28 and on rollers 26 which are attached to the side frame 16 shown in Figs. 1 and 2. A crawler belt 24b is supported on rollers (not shown) similar to rollers 26, which are fastened to a side frame similar to the side frame 16 shown, and on a travel drive (not shown) similar to the drive 28. Each traction drive has a gear driven by an electric motor for driving the crawler tracks and moving the backhoe on the ground.
1, 2 and 4, the trestle 6 has a rear leg 82, which is fixed on the lower part 4, and two front legs 84 and 86, which are on the lower part 4 at a working or front end 34 of the Lower part are attached. The rear leg 82 has an upper head 88 to which the front legs are also attached.
Die Zylinder 72a und 72b sind zwischen dem Gerüstbock 6 und dem Ausleger 30 positioniert, um den Ausleger an einer Bewegung zu dem Rahmen hin zu hindern und um eine Kraft auszuüben, die der Kraft an dem Grabegefäss von dem Erdmaterial her in der Rich- 1, 2 and 4-6, to which reference is now made, the surface excavator further has a boom 30 which is rotatably attached to the lower part 4 by means of pins 32 at the front end 34 of the lower part of the frame 2 , an elongated arm 36 having an upper portion 37 and an oppositely extending lower portion 39 having upper and lower ends 38 and 40, respectively, the stem being connected to the bracket 30 between the ends by means of pins 42 is pivotally attached, and a digging vessel 44, which is pivotally attached to the lower end 40 of the stem, for digging in and raising earth material 90. A hoist 46 is mounted on the frame 2 within the machine housing 8 and has an electric motor 48, a rotatable drum 50 driven by the motor, a pair of conveyor cables 52 connected to the drum 50 and to the end 38 of the stick by a compensator 54 are connected. The drum 50 is rotated by the motor to unwind the ropes so that the stick pivots down about the boom due to the weight of the stick and the digging vessel, thereby lowering the digging vessel, i.e. to pivot the digging vessel in the view in Fig. 2 counterclockwise. The drum is also rotatable by the motor to wind or wind the ropes on the drum to rotate the handle and pivot the digging vessel clockwise and upward in the view in FIG. 2. The digging vessel 44 has a front part 56 and a rear part 58, which are rotatably connected to the stem 36 on pins 60. The front part 56 of the digging vessel is rotatably connected to the rear part 58 on pins 62 so that the rear part and the front part can be pivoted apart about the pins 62 and a load in the digging vessel can be emptied. A pair of hydraulic cylinders 64, only one of which is shown, are connected between the rear and the front of the digging vessel to open and close the front and rear. A pair of hydraulic cylinders 66a and 66b are pivotally connected to stem 36 by pins 68 and to rear portion 58 of the digging vessel by pins 70. The cylinders 66a and 66b control the inclination of the digging vessel to give it the desired angular position when the digging vessel is in a lower or middle height position for digging into the earth material 90, in a middle or high height position for lifting the earth material or in an emptying position . A pair of hydraulic cylinders 72a and 72b are rotatably connected to the trestle by pins 78 on the head 88 and have pistons 74a and 74b which are rotatably connected to the boom 30 by pins 76. The cylinders 72a and 72b produce a bucket feed movement for the digging vessel 44 by pivoting the boom about the pins 32 away from the frame 2 so that the stem and the digging vessel at the end 40 of the stem move down and away from the frame. The digging vessel 44 thereby moves along a path into the earth material 90 in order to dig into it, so that the earth material enters the digging vessel. The cylinders 72a and 72b are positioned between the trestle 6 and the boom 30 to prevent the boom from moving towards the frame and to exert a force that is directed towards the force on the digging vessel from the earth material.

The boom is held by the cylinders 72a and 72b in such a way that it does not swivel backwards or “rears up” due to a force on the digging vessel that counteracts the spoon feed movement.
The hydraulic supply system 11 includes at least one pump, such as the pump 80, to supply the hydraulic cylinders 64, 66a, 66b, 72a and 72b with hydraulic fluid for their operation. The hydraulic supply system 11 includes hoses and lines 92 and 94, shown schematically in FIG. 2, from the pump to the cylinders 64, 64b, 66a, 66b, 72a and 72b. System 11 also includes valves, filters, additional conduits, at least one fluid tank, and other devices required to supply pressurized hydraulic fluid that are known in the art and are not shown in the drawings.
In operation of the backhoe, for reference to which reference is made to FIG. 2, the drum 50 is rotated to unwind the hoisting ropes 52 so that the digging vessel 44 with the stick 36 rotates around the boom and lowers. In connection with the unwinding of the ropes 52 so that the digging vessel can lower, the pistons 74a and 74b are retracted into the bucket feed cylinders 72a and 72b, so that the stick 36 and the digging vessel 44 in the position shown in broken lines in FIG. 2 a are. The drum 50 can then be rotated to wind the ropes 52 so that the digging vessel 44 moves along a path from the position a in which it is in contact with the earth material 90 to a position b of the digging vessel. At the same time, the hydraulic tilt cylinders 66a and 66b can be actuated to adjust the position of the digging vessel so that the digging vessel teeth 126 grasp the earth material in the desired angular position, e.g. in a horizontal position. Bucket feed cylinders 72a and 72b are then actuated to move pistons 74a and 74b outward so that boom 30 is pivoted away from frame 2. As a result, the stem 36 and the digging vessel 44 also move away from the frame 2, and the digging vessel continues its movement along the path from the position b into the earth material to the position c, which is shown in broken lines in FIG. 2, so that the earth material 90 enters the digging vessel. During the advancing movement of the digging vessel through the boom, the stick can be held stationary relative to the boom. However, if necessary, the drum 50 can be rotated further to wind the ropes 52 and pivot the handle and thereby the digging vessel 44 around the boom simultaneously with the operation of the bucket feed cylinders and increasing the force with which the digging vessel digs into the earth material .
The upper portion 37 and the lower portion 39 of the arm have a length in common that is greater than that of the boom 30. Thus, considerable leverage is possible through the length of the stick from the hoist attachment point on the stick end 38 to the digging vessel on the stick end 40. In addition, the stem can be given a length that, together with the hoist, results in a selected digging vessel gravity. During the advancing movement of the digging vessel and also during the pivoting movement of the digging vessel into the earth material 90, the resistance of the earth material against the digging vessel will exert pressure on the digging vessel and the stem and thereby on the boom in order to try to move the boom towards the frame 2 to pan or "drive up" or "rip up". However, the force of the bucket feed cylinders 72a and 72b in a direction opposite to the boom movement of the boom toward the frame and the support of the bucket feed cylinders on the frame will prevent the boom from moving.
After sufficient soil has entered the excavation vessel 44, the drum 50 is rotated further to pivot the arm about the boom, and the hydraulic tilt cylinders 64a and 64b are further operated to incline the excavation vessel and the soil in the excavation vessel is closed hold when it is raised by the rotation of the drum and the pivoting of the handle in the position d shown in Fig. 2 with dotted lines. The digging vessel is then further raised to a position e in which the swing frame 2 on the crawler frame 12 can be pivoted by actuating the swing motors and drive gears 22 to move the boom, stick and digging vessel to an emptying point where the hydraulic cylinders 64a and 64b are operated to open the trench and let the earth fall out of the trench.
An alternative embodiment of the invention, which is provided in a surface excavator, is shown in FIG. 3. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the components of the backhoe that work in the same way as the components shown in FIG. 2 have the same reference numerals. Components of the backhoe in Fig. 3, which differ in operation from those in Fig. 2, are denoted by different reference numerals. In Fig. 3, a trestle 100 has a rear leg 102 attached to the base 4 of the frame 2 and front legs 104 and 106 attached to a bracket 108 at the front end 34 of the base 4. A boom 110 is pivotally attached to the base 4 near the end 34 by means of pins 112 and is also pivotally connected to the arm 36 by pins 114 between the opposite ends 38 and 40 of the arm. A pair of bucket feed cylinders 116a and 116b are rotatably attached to the head 118 of the trestle 100 and have pistons 120a and 120b which are pivotally connected by pins 122 to the boom 110 near one end 124 of the boom. The hydraulic bucket feed cylinders 116a and 116b and their pistons 120a and

120b operate in substantially the same manner as the hydraulic bucket feed cylinders 72a and 72b and their pistons 74a and 74b, which are shown in FIG. 2. Thus, the hoist 46 and the bucket feed cylinders 116a and 116b together cause the digging vessel 44 to be moved to the positions a and b, as shown in FIG. 3. The bucket feed cylinders 116a and 116b extend the pistons 120a and 120b to pivot the boom 110 away from the frame 2, thereby moving the digging vessel 44 into the earth material 90, and the hoist 46 pivots the stick and the digging vessel into positions d and e before the earth material is emptied from the digging vessel.
The reaction force of the material 90 on the digging vessel 44 tries to puff the boom 110 around the pins 112 toward the frame 2 while the digging vessel digs into the earth material. However, the force of cylinders 116a and 116b in the direction of the reaction force caused by material 90 opposes and prevents boom movement of boom 110. The connection of the pistons 120a and 120b at the end 124 of the boom at a location relatively close to the pivot 42 where the arm is attached to the boom reduces the amount of bending stress on the boom 110 compared to that Extent of stress on the boom 30 in the embodiment of the invention shown in FIG. 2. In addition, the attachment of the scaffold bracket 100 to the end 34 of the lower part 4 simplifies the machine housing construction because the scaffold bracket does not protrude beyond the machine housing. Furthermore, positioning the trestle on the working end 34 of the lower part allows bucket feed cylinders 116a and 116b of shorter length. This leads to a relatively greater rigidity of the bucket feed and boom construction, particularly when the bucket feed pistons are extended, and allows a hydraulic fluid system of lower volume and lower pressure.
The invention described here provides an extremely effective device and method for preventing the boom of a surface excavator from being raised. The bucket feed device is further designed so that there is a particularly high degree of bucket feed force. The bucket feed device according to the invention eliminates the conventional known bucket feeder from rack and pinion and consequently allows hydraulic fluid connections between the machine housing of the backhoe and the arm, so that a hydraulic tilt adjustment is available for the digging vessel of the backhoe. The invention also includes a wire rope hoist assembly in which the rope is attached directly to one end of the stick to create a long lever arm and provide a high digging and lifting force for the digging vessel. The durability of the ropes of the hoist is increased by eliminating the boom lifting by the bucket feed device, in order to accordingly eliminate a hoist rope impact due to the lifting movement.
