a) das Verfahren gemäss Anspruch 1;
Fig. 2 zwei gewirkte Bänder in Draufsicht.

The invention relates to a method of at least two bands connected to one another in sections, in particular braces, by knitting or weaving bands, and to bands, in particular braces, produced by the method.
Braces made from ribbons have a connection point at which the individual ribbons are connected to one another by means of a corresponding buckle. The use of the buckle on the one hand and the threading of the straps into the buckle on the other hand make the manufacture of such braces considerably more expensive.
The object of the invention is to provide a method for producing at least two bands, in particular braces, which are connected to one another in sections, and also bands and braces produced in this way, in which the connection of two bands is considerably simplified.
According to the invention, the object is achieved by:
a) the method according to claim 1;
b) tapes produced by the process according to claim 8.
By connecting the tapes that are produced in a repeatable manner during manufacture, there is a significant simplification in the manufacture of such tapes that are to be connected to one another, such as braces in particular. The advantage here is not only that there are no buckles for connecting the straps and corresponding threading operations. It is also no longer necessary to sew such tapes together. In addition, there is also the particular advantage that the tapes always lie against one another in a repeatable manner, so that an inaccurate folding of patterned tapes and thus corresponding rejects is eliminated. Bands produced in accordance with the method, in particular braces, are therefore not only significantly cheaper, but also more precise and thus more beautiful, in particular, due to the mutual matching of the bands.
The ribbons can be produced both on ribbon weaving machines and on warp knitting machines, in particular crochet galloon machines, the production of knitted ribbons in particular being up to 30% less expensive than the production of woven ribbons.
Advantageous embodiments of the method are described in claims 2 to 7 and the tapes in claims 9 to 14.
As already mentioned, the ribbons according to claim 2 can be produced on a ribbon loom, but the manufacture according to claim 3 on warp knitting machines, in particular crochet gallon machines, is particularly preferred. The embodiment according to claim 4 not only facilitates production but also increases the pattern options for the tapes to be produced.
The bands can be connected with long shots. Partial shots according to claim 6 are also possible.
Basically, it is possible that the weft threads of only one band are connected to the other band. However, an embodiment of the method according to claim 7 is particularly advantageous, since it further improves the stability of the connection between the bands.
The advantages presented for the production also apply analogously to the tapes produced by the process, in particular braces.
Exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are described in more detail below with reference to the drawings, in which:
Figure 1 shows two tapes made on a needle ribbon loom in plan view. and
Fig. 2 knitted ribbons in plan view.
Fig. 1 shows a schematic representation of the production of two woven ribbons 2a, 2b on a needle ribbon loom. The needle ribbon weaving machine, not shown in more detail, has two weft insertion needles 4a, 4b which swing against one another and with which weft threads 6a, 6b are introduced between warp threads 8a, 8b. On the sides facing one another, the weft thread loops entered are tied in a known manner by means of an auxiliary thread 10a, 10b and knitting needles 12a, 12b. The two bands 2a, 2b have a mutual distance D which is 0 and can be, for example, from 0 to 3000 mm. In section A, the two tapes 2a, 2b are connected to one another, the corresponding weft thread loops 14a, 14b of the adjacent tapes alternately reaching to the other tape and being bound there by means of the auxiliary thread 10a, 10b.
2 shows tapes 16a, 16b which are produced on a warp knitting machine. The belts 16a, 16b have slip stitches 18a, 18b made of warp threads 20a, 20b. The slip stitches are connected to one another by means of a weft thread 22a, 22b, the weft threads each being guided in a long weft 24a, 24b over the entire width of the respective band 16a, 16b. The two bands 16a, 16b are in turn at a mutual distance D and are connected to one another in section A. In this section, the long wefts 26a, 26b of the bands 16a, 16b are mutually guided to the next slip stitch 18a, 18b of the adjacent band and integrated there. This results in a secure, firm connection between the two bands 16a, 16b.
A warp knitting machine, in particular a crochet galloon machine according to WO 85/01527, is suitable for producing such tapes.
Numerous exemplary embodiments are still possible, so the weft threads can be continuous from one side to the other, both in the case of knitted and woven tapes at the connection point. It is also possible to use partial weft threads, which only run back and forth at the connection point between the two bands, and run in the non-connected part, for example in a slip stitch. It is also possible that one band is woven or knitted unchanged and only the other band has weft threads that run at the connection point to the neighboring band and are woven or knitted there.
The tapes produced can usually be patterned, elastic, rigid and the like.
