The invention relates to a ventilation system for the ventilation of rooms.
The ventilation of rooms is necessary for many reasons. The aim of ventilation is to remove moisture and odors from rooms in order to create and maintain a pleasant environment for the people in them. The building protection also places certain demands on the moisture present in the structure, which is to be kept at an optimal value by the ventilation. This should damage moisture such as Mold infestation can be prevented.
A ventilation system that meets both requirements has been implemented in the form of a central ventilation system (in accordance with DIN 18017, sheet 1), in which a continuous air flow through the rooms is maintained by one or more ventilation shafts, to which several rooms are connected together. The air flow is mostly caused by using the thermal buoyancy of the warmer indoor air compared to the air outdoors. This type of air flow is called natural ventilation and is in operation all day due to the principle applied.
However, any ventilation always means that the preheated room air is led outside and the cold air flowing in must be heated again. A central ventilation system has the disadvantage that energy is continuously used to heat the room, even if there is no actual ventilation requirement due to excessive humidity or unpleasant smells.
This disadvantage does not occur when venting rooms in the form of a demand vent, which can be switched on and off as needed by the people who are in the rooms. For each room or room area to be ventilated, a single fan is provided, which sucks the air out of the room with the help of a motor and conveys it to the outside. Here, too, ventilation can take place via a common ventilation shaft, but the operating intervals of an individual fan are based on the discretion of the occupants of the rooms. Heated room air is only discharged when necessary, so that the ventilation is advantageous from an energy-saving point of view, although energy is needed to convey the air through the motor.
In terms of avoiding damage to the building, however, the need ventilation has the disadvantage that it is not ventilated from a building physics point of view, but only arbitrarily according to the subjective feeling of the residents.
Construction damage always occurs when there is a disproportionate amount of moisture and at the same time there is little heating and very little ventilation. The structure can be considerably damaged and its value reduced by mold or other moisture-related consequences.
The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a new possibility for venting rooms which meets these two contradicting requirements for room ventilation, so that moisture-related structural damage can be avoided without an unnecessary loss of energy due to a continuous air flow.
This object is achieved by a ventilation system according to the invention for the ventilation of rooms which
- several individual fans for ventilation of the individual rooms,
- several switches through which the individual fans can be switched on and off at will,
- A controller that switches the individual fans on and off based on certain, predefinable conditions and regardless of the switching state of the switches, and
- Has at least one control line, via which the individual fans are connected to the central control.
In an advantageous embodiment, the control line is two-wire and designed for a control voltage between 10 V and 50 V, which enables a very simple and inexpensive installation.
However, the control line can be multi-core with other boundary conditions or requirements for ventilation. This can advantageously provide feedback to the central controller, e.g. about the operating status of the individual fans.
With a view to simple or retrofitting, the individual fan is connected to the switch via a distributor in a further embodiment. This has the advantage that the connection to the control does not have to be routed directly to the individual fan, but only to the distributor. A switch box or fuse box can also be used as a distributor.
Furthermore, this also enables the further configuration in which a relay is provided in the distributor, which relay can be switched by the control voltage supplied via the control line.
In an advantageous embodiment, the central control has a time switch with which the times and time intervals can be determined in which the individual fans are switched on or are switched on.
The advantageous inclusion of the control voltage supply contributes to the central character of the control. For this purpose, at least one power supply unit is provided in the central controller, which provides a control voltage between 10 V and 50 V and which is directly connected to the control line in order to deliver the control voltage directly to the control line.
The advantage of being able to operate a plurality of ventilation lines by means of a control is achieved if the time switch excites a relay via a switch contact, the switch contacts of which switch the power supply of at least one power supply unit on or off. In this way, several power supplies can also be provided in the central control, which are connected to the control lines of several ventilation lines.
In order to be able to reduce the noise during central-controlled operation, individual fans are advantageously used which have two speed levels, so that the lower of the two speeds can be switched on by the central control. However, if individual fans are used that only develop a very low running noise even at the higher speed level, the central controller can also switch on the higher speed level. In this context, various switching combinations, e.g. depending on the time of day, realizable.
The individual components of the ventilation system according to the invention are put together as in the form of a kit for creating a ventilation system according to the invention and can also be regarded as such.
The invention is described below using an exemplary embodiment which is illustrated in the accompanying drawings. It shows:
1 schematically shows the construction of a ventilation system according to the invention for the ventilation of several rooms,
Fig. 2 shows schematically the connection of a single fan of the ventilation system according to the invention and
Fig. 3 schematically shows the structure of a central control of the ventilation system according to the invention.
1 shows an exemplary embodiment of the ventilation system according to the invention. Three individual fans 2a, 2b and 2c are each connected to two ventilation shafts 1a and 1b in such a way that they convey the extracted room air via the connecting lines 3a, 3b and 3c into one of the two ventilation shafts. The extracted room air is released through the ventilation shafts.
According to the invention, each individual fan is connected to a control line 4, through which a connection to a central control 5 is established. In the simplest case, as shown in FIG. 1, the control line is a two-wire line and the individual fans are connected in parallel to one another along the control line between the two control line wires. The central controller 5 can switch the total of six individual fans of the two ventilation lines on or off via the control line 4.
In order to enable the individual fans to be switched on if necessary, the individual fans in the rooms, as shown in FIG. 2, are connected via a distributor 6 to a switch 7, with which the individual fans can be switched on and off manually and as required . The distributor 6 establishes an on / off switching connection between the individual fan 2 and the switch 7 and, moreover, enables the individual fan 2 to be switched on / off via the control line 4.
In the distributor 6 e.g. a relay can be provided, which is switched by a control voltage supplied via the control line 4 and which switches the current supply to the individual fan 2 on or off. In this embodiment, the control line 4 does not have to be designed for very high voltages, but only for a control voltage between approximately 10 V and 50 V. Instead of the relay, a semiconductor circuit can also be provided, optionally also with continuous control properties.
FIG. 3 shows an example of the structure of a central control 5, which controls the individual fans 2 of the ventilation system according to the invention via the control line 4. A switch 8 closes a switch contact 9 at adjustable times and thus excites a relay 10 at certain time intervals, the switch contact 11a of which switches on the power supply of a power supply unit 12a. The power supply unit 12a outputs a control voltage of approximately 25 V, which is supplied via the control line 4 to the individual fans or to the relay connected upstream in the distributor. As a result, the individual fans connected to the control line are switched on by the central control.
After a sufficiently long venting phase, the length of which can be preset with the aid of the time switch 8, the time switch 8 opens the switch contact 9 and interrupts the power supply to the power supply unit 12a, which then no longer outputs any control voltage. The connected individual fans are switched off unless they have been switched on manually.
Further power supplies 12b and 12c are connected to the additional switch contacts 11b and 11c and are also supplied with current when the switch contact 9 is closed by the time switch and the relay 10 is energized. The power supply units 12b and 12c are provided in order to put the individual fans of further ventilation lines into operation. The load from the individual fans or the upstream relays, but also from the control line, can thus be divided between the three power supplies 12a, 12b and 12c.
An advantageous embodiment is achieved if the individual fans 2 of the ventilation system are designed in such a way that they can be operated at two speeds. At full load, i.e. when operating at higher speeds, considerable noise can be observed with individual fans, which is significantly lower at part load. The relay controlled by the central control 5 triggers partial load operation in this type of individual fan, in which the motor of the individual fan runs at a lower speed than at full load. The full-load operation is switched on or off by switch 7 as required. This ensures that the central control switches on the individual fans and the rooms are ventilated without the people in the rooms being disturbed by the noise.
For the ventilation of the rooms triggered by the central control, the partial-load operation of the individual fans is usually sufficient, but half the volume flow of the full-load operation should be achieved.
