Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Arbeitsplatte gemäss dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.
Eine derartige Arbeitsplatte ist aus dem DE-GM 8 515 453 bekannt.
Bei der dort gezeigten und beschriebenen Arbeitsplatte wird die Abtropfrinne von der Dekorplatte ausgekleidet, die einstückig die der Abtropfrinne gegenüberliegende Breitseite der Arbeitsplatte sowie die Längskante bedeckt.
Da die Dekorplatte nur eine begrenzte Biegefähigkeit besitzt, ist nur eine gerundete Formgebung der Ränder der Abtropfrinne möglich. Bei einer scharfkantigen Formgebung würde die aufzubringende Dekorplatte sofort brechen.
Die konvexe Randform der Abtropfrinne verhindert jedoch ein Abtropfen von um die Längskante gelaufener Flüssigkeit in wünschenswertem Masse, so dass aufgrund der Adhäsion die Flüssigkeit auf der Unterseite verbleibt. Der gewünschte Effekt kann durch diese Art der Ausgestaltung der Abtropfrinne nicht erzielt werden.
Der vorliegenden Erfindung liegt daher die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Arbeitsplatte der gattungsgemässen Art so zu gestalten, dass die Abtropfwirkung der Abtropfrinne optimiert wird.
Diese Aufgabe wird neuerungsgemäss durch die im kennzeichnenden Teil des Anspruchs 1 genannten Merkmale gelöst.
Dadurch, dass die Dekorplatte lediglich bis an den Rand der Abtropfrinne geführt wird, ist ein Biegen der Dekorplatte in diesem Bereich nicht mehr erforderlich. Der entsprechende Rand der Abtropfrinne kann daher scharfkantig ausgebildet werden, wodurch eine Optimierung der Abtropfwirkung eintritt.
Die Adhäsionskräfte der entlanglaufenden Flüssigkeit werden in diesem Bereich unterbrochen, so dass die Flüssigkeit tatsächlich abtropft.
Um zu verhindern, dass Feuchtigkeit, beispielsweise in Form von Wasserdampf in die Kernplatte im Bereich der Abtropfrinne eindringt, ist nach einer vorteilhaften Ausgestaltung der Erfindung vorgesehen, diese und den angrenzenden, der Längskante abgewandten Bereich der Kernplatte mit einer Feuchtigkeit abweisenden Beschichtung, beispielsweise aus melaminharzgetränktem Papier zu versehen.
Der Übergangsbereich zwischen der Dekorplatte und der Beschichtung ist zweckmässigerweise mit einer Sperrschicht, beispielsweise einem Lack oder dergleichen versiegelt, so dass auch in diesem Bereich keine Feuchtigkeit eindringen kann.
Weitere vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung sind in den anhängigen Ansprüchen gekennzeichnet.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Neuerung wird nachfolgend anhand der beigefügten Zeichnung beschrieben.
Die Fig. 1 zeigt einen Teilquerschnitt durch eine erfindungsgemäss ausgebildete Arbeitsplatte.
Die dargestellte Arbeitsplatte besteht aus einer Kernplatte 1 und einer diese Kernplatte 1 teilweise abdeckenden Dekorplatte 2.
Dabei ist diese um eine konvex geformte Längskante 4 gezogen und bis an den Rand 5 einer Abtropfrinne 3 geführt, die der Längskante 4 benachbart, parallel zu dieser verlaufend in der entsprechenden Breitseite der Arbeitsplatte vorgesehen ist.
Die Abtropfrinne 3, die im übrigen einen gewölbten Querschnitt aufweist, ist mit einer Feuchtigkeit abweisenden Beschichtung 7 versehen, die darüber hinaus den angrenzenden Bereich der Längskante 4 abgewandten Kernplatte 1 abdeckt.
Im übrigen ist diese Breitseite der Kernplatte 1 mit einer weiteren Beschichtung 8, beispielsweise einem Gegenzugpapier versehen, das den ausserhalb der Abtropfrinne 3 liegenden Bereich der Beschichtung 7 mit abdeckt.
In dem den Rand 5 der Abtropfrinne 3 bildenden Übergang zwischen der Dekorplatte 4 und der Beschichtung 7 ist eine Sperrschicht 6 vorgesehen, die die Stossnaht zwischen der Beschichtung 7 und der Dekorplatte 2 verschliesst.

According to the innovation, this object is achieved by the features mentioned in the characterizing part of claim 1.
Due to the fact that the decorative plate is only guided to the edge of the drip tray, it is no longer necessary to bend the decorative plate in this area. The corresponding edge of the drip tray can therefore be formed with sharp edges, which leads to an optimization of the dripping effect.
The adhesive forces of the liquid running along are interrupted in this area, so that the liquid actually drips off.
In order to prevent moisture, for example in the form of water vapor, from penetrating into the core plate in the area of the drip gutter, according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it and the adjacent area of the core plate facing away from the longitudinal edge are provided with a moisture-repellent coating, for example made of melamine resin-soaked Paper.
The transition area between the decorative panel and the coating is expediently sealed with a barrier layer, for example a lacquer or the like, so that no moisture can penetrate into this area either.
