Abstract

An anti-theft device for luggage and the like, especially suitcases, holdalls, suit bags and the like, in which there are safety devices (3) at least partly surrounding the luggage (2) in the form of a net of material which is indestructible or difficult to destroy and which can be secured to a luggage rack or the like by means of a lock (4). It prevents unauthorised handling of the property even if it is left unattended for a longer or shorter period of time.

Description

   Fig. 1 in schaubildartiger Darstellung eine erfindungsgemässe netzwerkartige Diebstahl-Sicherungsvorrichtung in Verbindung mit einem Koffer auf einer Gepäckablage;

  The present invention relates to an anti-theft device for luggage.

  Securing hand luggage, bags and wardrobes against theft is a major problem in today's tourist traffic or when visiting localities. Until now, unauthorized tampering with the objects could only be prevented by constant supervision, it is now an object of the present invention to provide an anti-theft device which is suitable for preventing unauthorized tampering with the objects, even if these objects are for more or less longer Time left unattended.

  This is achieved according to the invention by at least partially including the luggage certain securing means in the form of tapes, ropes, chains or networks made of difficult or indestructible material, the securing means comprising the luggage being connectable by means of a lock.

  If straps, ropes or chains are used as securing means, rings or the like, through which the securing means are looped, must be provided on luggage, in particular suitcases and in particular on the cover thereof, which are inseparably connected therewith. The usual case handle is usually not sufficient here, as it can be torn off relatively easily.

  However, the securing means are preferably networks with which the luggage can be included as well as the cloakroom, whereupon the whole can be connected to the luggage rack of a railway carriage, to the luggage carriage at a station or airport or to the cloakroom shelf.

  Today's materials that are suitable for this, such as, in particular, glass fiber reinforced plastic, are light and very flexible and can therefore be handled easily as a relatively indestructible network structure.

  For example, embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. Show it:

   1 shows a diagram-like representation of a network-like theft security device according to the invention in connection with a suitcase on a luggage rack;
   2 shows a top view of the network-like anti-theft security device according to FIG. 1; and
   3 shows a variant of the arrangement according to FIG. 1 in a diagram-like representation.

  1 and 2 show a network-like anti-theft security device 3, which according to FIG. 1 comprises a suitcase 2 on a luggage rack 1 and is connected on the underside of the luggage rack by means of a padlock 4.

   This network 3 is approximately of a square extension and is provided with locking eyelets 5 at its corners.

  Such a network 3 is preferably made of a glass fiber-reinforced plastic material that is not easily destroyed and can be very coarse-meshed, for example by forming looped 8s (FIG. 2).

  Such a network is easy to use and not only allows luggage with luggage racks, luggage trolleys and the like to be connected, but also cloakrooms with corresponding racks and thus to secure them.

  In the embodiment variant according to FIG. 3, the anti-theft means consist of at least one iron band or a wire rope or a chain 6, which cooperate with rings 7 which are suitably inseparably arranged on the case for 2 minutes. A plug-in lock is particularly suitable for 4 min.
