Abstract

The timepiece (40) includes a casing housing a watch mechanism with hour (43) and minute (44) indicators turning clockwise w.r.t. a fixed dial (45). A central disc (47) carries a projection of the northern hemisphere of the globe and turns in the anticlockwise direction. The housing carries a fixed mark (49) symbolising the sun, so that an impression is given of the sun illuminating half of the globe at one time. The ring surrounding the casing also carries a moon indicator (51) and indicators for the months (11). A dragon (60) is used to indicate eclipses of the moon and sun. USE - Geographical display watch.
