Abstract
The sweeper for wet leaves or paper has a handle (1) attached to a holder (3-5) for a wiper (6) which is made from a rubber-elastic foam with open pores. The wiper is strip-shaped and is 0.6 to 1.0m long, pref. about 0.8 m. The length of the wiper is greater than the length of the holder. The wiper is easily removed from the holder and easily replaced. It protrudes over the holder ends by approx. 1 cm. The holder consists of two parallel slats (3, 4) held together, with the wiper by bolts (7). ADVANTAGE - Improved sweeping efficiency.
Description
The object of the present invention was to find a rational possibility for wiping wet leaves or paper, because there has not yet been a practical and satisfactory solution to this problem.
According to the prior art, wet leaves or paper are wiped with conventional brushes or brooms, but this is not very satisfactory, since the leaves stick to the brush or broom when wet. Street brooms are also not a satisfactory solution because, in addition to the problem described above, they are also not sufficiently wide, so that the area swept or wiped out is too small, which in turn requires more time and physical effort for the user of such a street broom .
The inventor of the leaf wiping device described here was able to solve all these disadvantages in a skilful way by finding out that this problem can be solved very easily with a sponge rubber. For this purpose, he constructed a simple, yet extremely functional device in which a sponge rubber could be clamped. During construction, great importance was attached to a simple and at the same time practical design, which ensures optimal use. The device essentially consists of the pinched sponge rubber, 3 slats (80 cm long), 3 wing screws and a broomstick. Thanks to its width of 80 cm, the leaf wiping device not only guarantees efficient leaf wiping but also saves time when performing this task.
The interchangeable sponge rubber ensures that the sheets stick immediately when wiped over and do not stick to the floor as with conventional wipers. This fact represents an important, central aspect of the invention.
1 and 2 we see this leaf mop device in side elevation and in the front and rear view. In both figures we can see a broomstick 1 with attachment 2, a front slat 4, a rear slat 3, an upper slat 5, a sponge rubber 6 and three wing screws 7. From FIG. 2 it can also be seen that the sponge rubber is not only at the bottom, but also protrudes slightly on both sides, namely about 1 cm, which means that this device can be wiped into corners with ease. To manufacture this mopping device, a handle 1 is attached to the top bar 5 with the attachment 2. The front slat 4 is nailed to this upper slat 5. Then the sponge rubber 6 is clamped between the front slat 4 and the rear slat 3 by means of the 3 wing screws 7.
Fastening the sponge rubber with the wing screws has the clear advantage that it can be removed again after a certain amount of wear and vice versa, and that in the end the whole sponge rubber can be easily replaced with a new one.
With the device described here, the inventor has succeeded in finding an expedient, comfortable and at the same time handy solution to the problem mentioned at the beginning.
