The invention relates to a gas boiler, consisting of a water-carrying housing with flow and return connections and with a combustion chamber, from which, distributed over the entire circumference, pipes are led as heating gas flues between the housing wall and a storage container arranged above the combustion chamber to the upper hood.
A gas boiler of the type mentioned is known from DE-PS 3 142 632. In order to be able to regulate both the process water and the heating water with regard to the desired process water and heating water temperatures in this known gas boiler, which is particularly designed for installation in the living room or kitchen area, an additional mixing valve of a known type must be installed .
In addition to the fact that the mixing valve to be provided for this must be purchased as an additional accessory, the arrangement of the mixing valve is associated with additional installation effort and cannot always be installed away from view, which is desirable when installing such a boiler in the living area would also have to be taken into account that such a mixing valve must remain accessible.
The invention is therefore based on the object to improve a gas boiler of the type mentioned in such a way that the controllability of the hot water should be achievable with respect to the temperature of the heating water with simpler means and less installation effort.
This object is achieved with a gas boiler of the type mentioned according to the invention by the features stated in the characterizing part of patent claim 1. Advantageous further developments result from the dependent patent claims 2 and 3.
This design of the boiler flow connection area in accordance with the invention means that there is no need for a mixing valve to be installed in particular, and the entire boiler can be delivered as a complete, ready-to-install unit with controllability guaranteed in the above sense, the heating flow provided with the flow bypass line advantageously having the heating return connection and the storage supply and - drain pipes are aligned in a vertical straight line on one side of the boiler, which gives very clear connection conditions in a line.
The flow riser piece extending in the water-bearing housing interior is advantageously provided with a larger-diameter cladding tube, sealed off from the housing interior, whereby heat flow from the more or less warm heating medium in the water-conducting housing to the riser pipe is largely prevented.
The thermostatic valve is set so that it opens at a temperature of e.g. 55 ° C, i.e. At the flow connection there is a mixing temperature, which can be lower or higher, depending on the mode of operation of the boiler, at 55 ° C, which also ensures the domestic water temperature, in the range of 60 to 65 ° C.
The gas boiler is explained in more detail below on the basis of the sectional illustration of an exemplary embodiment.
As can be seen from the only illustration, the gas boiler consists of a water-carrying housing 1 with flow and return connections and from a combustion chamber 6, from which, distributed over the entire circumference, pipes 14 as heating gas flues between the housing wall and storage containers 15 arranged above the combustion chamber 6 are guided to the upper extractor hood or exhaust gas plenum 16. The heating flow 2 leading out of the housing 1 at the top is extended with a flow riser piece 3 into the lower region 4 of the water-carrying housing interior 5 above the combustion chamber 6. Between the Vorlaufan connection piece 2 min and the upper area 4 min of the housing interior 5, a flow bypass line 7 is provided, in which a thermostatic valve 8 is arranged.
As can also be seen, the flow riser section 3 extending in the water-bearing housing interior 5 is provided with a larger-diameter cladding tube 9 which is closed against the interior 5, as a result of which the annular cylindrical air space acts as insulation between the flow riser section 3 and the heat transfer medium located in the housing interior 5. As long as the thermostatic valve 8 remains closed, the heat transfer medium can therefore only reach the flow 2 from below via the flow riser pipe section 3. However, as soon as the thermostatic valve opens at, for example, 55 ° C., which requires a corresponding heating of the heat transfer medium in the upper region 4 of the housing interior 5, hot heat transfer medium can enter the flow bypass line 7 and pass through it to the flow line 2, where it is mixed with the flow water.
With regard to all inlets and outlets on the gas boiler, it is advantageous to provide a clear and simple installation to design the gas boiler in such a way that the heating flow 2 provided with the flow bypass line 7 is flush with the heating return connection 10 and the storage inflow and outflow lines 11, 12 in a vertical direction Straight lines are arranged on one side of the boiler.
