Abstract

The trowel for applying and working mortar, plaster and other pasty building materials is equipped with a shank (4G), butt welded to the trowel blade by e.g. a friction welding technique. Its other end (18) has a female thread (19) into which a screw (21) to fix a handle (20) e.g. made of wood fits.

   BESCHREIBUNG



   Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kelle nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruches 1.



   Das bekannte Bolzenschweissverfahren ist unter bestimmten Bedingungen kompliziert durchzuführen. Erfindungsgemäss wird daher vorgeschlagen, dass die Angel auf dem Kellenblatt durch Reibschweissung stumpf befestigt ist. Dabei wird durch entgegengesetztes Drehen beider Werkstücke, vorzugsweise computergesteuert, eine homogene Schweissung erzielt, welche keine nachzubearbeitenden Rückstände hinterlässt und dennoch mindestens gleiche Festigkeitswerte wie das Bolzenschweissverfahren erzielt.



   Diese Festigkeitswerte sind insbesondere deswegen nötig, weil sehr häufig mit dem Griff auf Backstein geschlagen wird, um den letzteren in das Mörtelbett zu positionieren, wobei eine beträchtliche Beanspruchung der Verbindung zwischen Angel und Kellenblatt erfolgt.



   Bei gleicher Gelegenheit erfolgt jedoch auch eine enorme Beanspruchung des meist aus Holz bestehenden Handgriffes, der dabei weiter über die Angel getrieben wird und zum Spalten neigt.

 

   In einer weiteren Ausgestaltung der Erfindung wird daher vorgeschlagen, am freien Ende der Angel ein Innengewinde vorzusehen, in das eine den Handgriff axial durchsetzende Sicherungsschraube eingreift, die in der Lage ist, die Energie beim obenerwähnten Aufschlagen aufzufangen und die Lebensdauer des Handgriffes und damit die der ganzen Kelle zu verlängern.



   In der Zeichnung ist die Erfindung beispielhaft näher verdeutlicht. Am freien Ende (18) einer abgewinkelten Angel 4G ist ein Innengewinde 19 vorgesehen, in das eine den Handgriff 20 axial durchsetzende Schraube 21 eingreift. Mit dieser Ausführungsform der Erfindung sind auch allenfalls durch Wassereinwirkung geplatzte Holzgriffe mühelos auswechselbar.

   The invention relates to a trowel according to the preamble of claim 1.



   The known stud welding process is complicated to carry out under certain conditions. It is therefore proposed according to the invention that the hinge is butt-fastened on the trowel blade by friction welding. By rotating both workpieces in opposite directions, preferably computer-controlled, a homogeneous welding is achieved, which leaves no residues to be reworked and nevertheless achieves at least the same strength values as the stud welding process.



   These strength values are necessary in particular because the handle is very often struck on the brick in order to position the latter in the mortar bed, which places considerable stress on the connection between the hinge and the trowel blade.



   On the same occasion, however, there is also an enormous strain on the handle, which is usually made of wood, which is further driven over the rod and tends to split.

 

   In a further embodiment of the invention it is therefore proposed to provide an internal thread at the free end of the hinge, into which a locking screw axially penetrating the handle engages, which is able to absorb the energy during the above-mentioned impact and the service life of the handle and thus that of the handle to extend the whole trowel.



   The invention is illustrated in more detail by way of example in the drawing. At the free end (18) of an angled hinge 4G, an internal thread 19 is provided, in which a screw 21 engages axially through the handle 20. With this embodiment of the invention, wooden handles that have burst due to the action of water can also be easily replaced.
