Abstract
A lock for a door has a bolt (5) which is actuated by the key and a catch (8) which is held in the engaged position by a spring (9). When the bolt has been retracted by turning they key the catch can be retracted by turning the door handle (10). When the bolt is engaged, a projection on its upper edge pushes a slider (15) upwards. This slider rotates a spring-loaded lever 816) which is mounted on the catch. This lever is swung upwards so that it engages a stop (19) and prevents the retraction of the catch. USE - Door lock.
Description
BESCHREIBUNG
DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a door lock in which the bolt and the lock latch can be locked with a key.
- Door locks of this type are known, in which the bolt and the lock latch cannot be unlocked with the key when the lever handle is operated first.
- It is an object of the invention to provide a door lock in which the bolt and the lock latch can be locked and when unlocking it is not necessary to ensure that the door handle is actuated last.
- The invention is described in more detail with reference to the embodiment shown in the drawings. It shows:
Fig. 1 shows a floor plan of the castle with the cover plate removed. Bolt and lock latch in the front.
Fig. 2 is a plan of the castle with the cover plate removed. Bolt and lock latch withdrawn.
The lock case 1 is attached to the faceplate 2. A usual lock nut 3, with the return spring 4, a bolt 5, a tumbler 6 with pivot point 7 and a lock latch 8 with return spring 9 form the usual lock mechanism.
The hook 16 with the return spring 17 is pivotally mounted on the axis 18, which is fastened on the lock latch 8. The hook 16 hangs in the lock nut 3. By turning the lock nut 3 with the door handle 10, the lock latch is withdrawn.
The pawl 19 with the pivot point 20 is pressed against the lock latch 8 by a spring (not shown) or its own weight. If a key is inserted into the locking cylinder 11, the driver 12 can be moved in the direction of the arrow 14. The tumbler 6 is thus raised, the bolt 5 is pushed forward and the slide 15 is pushed upwards. The hook 16 pivots upwards and hangs out from the lock nut 3. The lock latch 8 can no longer be withdrawn with the lock nut 3.
When the latch 8 is withdrawn, the pawl 19 is lifted from the hook 16, at the same time the hook 16 hangs from the lock nut 3, the latch 8 is pushed forward by the return spring 9. The pawl 19 rests on the lock latch 8. The lock latch 8 can no longer be pushed back because at point 21 the pawl 19 blocks the lock latch 8 via the hook 16.
The door lock can thus be unlocked and locked, regardless of whether the latch 8 is withdrawn from the door handle 10 or not.
