BESCHREIBUNG
DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to an electric beverage maker according to the preamble of claim 1.
An electric beverage maker of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1 is already known. The instantaneous water heater used here is installed horizontally and is designed both for heating up the water flowing through and for heating up a warming plate with a heat-conducting connection to it, on which a beverage maker can be placed. The brewing temperature that can be achieved with the instantaneous water heater is around 88-900C (DE-Gbm 7 606 154).
Electric drink makers are also known, in which so-called pot water heaters are used. According to DE AS 2 638 380, such instantaneous pot heaters consist of an approximately vertically arranged pot-shaped cast part, on the outer wall of which a helically extending rib is formed, which surrounds a cast-in electric tubular heating element. Brewing temperatures of 94 "C and above are reached with pot-shaped water heaters. They are only used for heating running water, but not at the same time for heating a hot plate for a beverage maker.
The heating of a warming plate is either carried out with an additional heating device or is completely eliminated when using a so-called thermos flask.
Pot water heaters are relatively expensive.
The object of the invention is to design the electric beverage maker of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1 in such a way that brewing temperatures of approximately 94 ° C. are reached in the same way as when using pot-type water heaters. However, the water heater is intended to be considerably less expensive than be a water heater.
The object is achieved according to the invention by the arrangement specified in the characterizing part of claim 1.
Appropriate training and further developments of the subject matter of the invention are specified in claims 2 to 5.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing, which shows a side view of a beverage maker in section.
In the drawing, 1 denotes a housing of an electrical beverage maker.
The housing 1 encloses a space 2 for a water heater designated overall by 3.
The instantaneous water heater 3 has an approximately tubular U-shaped or horseshoe-shaped electric tubular heater 4 and a water guide tube 5.
The water pipe 5 is also bent approximately in the shape of a horseshoe and is in heat-conducting connection with the tubular heater 4.
The water guide tube 5 and the casing tube of the tubular heater 4 expediently consist of an extruded profile made of aluminum, in which both tubes are connected to one another by a common web 6. However, the two tubes 4, 5 can, for example, also consist of copper and be soldered to one another.
The flow heater consisting of the tubular heater 4 and the water guide tube 5 is arranged vertically in the room 2.
One end of the water pipe 5 is connected to a check valve 7, which in turn is connected to a reservoir 8.
The other end of the water pipe 5 is connected to a riser pipe 9 which in the example shown passes through the storage container 8, but can also be guided laterally past the storage container 8 (not shown). The riser pipe 9 opens into an overflow 10, which ends above a filter funnel 11.
The lower end of the filter funnel 11 engages in a can 12, which stands on a plate 13 carried by the housing 1.
Mode of action:
At the beginning of the preparation of coffee, for example, the check valve 7 is open, so that the water pipe 5 is filled with water from the reservoir 8.
The tubular heater 4 heats the water in the water pipe 5 until partial evaporation. The pressure of the steam closes the check valve 7 and pushes the water column in the water pipe 5 into the riser pipe 9.
From the riser pipe 9, the ejected water flows into the overflow 10 and from there into the filter funnel 11 containing ground coffee. The water finally drips from the filter funnel 11 into the can 12. As soon as the steam in the water guide pipe 5 has relaxed, the check valve 7 opens again. The process is repeated until all of the water has been transferred from the reservoir 8 into the can 12.
Due to the vertical arrangement of the instantaneous water heater 4, 5 and its exclusive use for heating the water and not also for heating the plate 13, the desired brewing temperature is reached.
In the arrangement described, the instantaneous water heater 4, 5 works just as satisfactorily as a pot instantaneous water heater. However, it is considerably cheaper than this.
A particular advantage of the arrangement is that continuous flow heaters can be used, which are usually arranged horizontally and are designed both for heating brewing water and for heating a warming plate. Instead of an attachment for the horizontal position, an attachment for the vertical position only has to be provided. The relevant device for attaching the instantaneous water heater 4, 5 in its vertical position in the housing is designated 14 in the example shown.
In the example shown, a temperature controller 15 and a micro-temperature fuse 16 are also shown. The parts 15 and 16 are coupled to the water guide tube 5, specifically in the area of their curvature, as close as possible to the lowest point. The water guide tube 5 forms a depression in its lower region, in which water still collects until the final discharge when there is no longer any water in the reservoir 8, in the vertical sections of the water guide tube 5 and in the riser tube 9.
However, as long as there is water in the lower region of the water guide tube 5, the parts 15, 16 are cooled sufficiently and their premature response is avoided.
