BESCHREIBUNG

19 in radialer Richtung gewährleistet.
DESCRIPTION
Electrically or permanently magnetically actuatable disc brake for vehicles, with a stator part having the magnetic members and a rotor part with a fan wheel and associated eddy current brake disc, an air gap being provided between the stator and rotor part in the area of the eddy current brake disc.
In a known permanently magnetically actuatable disc brake of this type (see EP-A-0084140), two eddy current brake discs are firmly connected to the respective fan wheel. The connection is made using screws distributed around the circumference.
If such a brake is kept under full load until the eddy current brake discs become red-hot, a relatively large drop in braking power can be determined, given by an air gap enlargement between the stator and the rotor part due to the heat-related expansion of the rotor part.
The invention, as characterized in claim 1, solves the problem of creating an electromagnetically or permanently magnetically actuatable disc brake in which the heating of the eddy current brake disc which occurs during operational use leaves the predetermined air gap between the stator and rotor part as unchanged as possible.
The advantages achieved by the invention are essentially to be seen in the fact that the fastening means press the eddy current brake disc against the fan wheel under constant pressure, but permits mutual displacement in the event of uneven heating during operation. This ensures that the air gap between the stator and rotor part remains approximately constant even under continuous load and thus keeps the braking power drop within permissible limits.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to a drawing which represents the prior art and a preferred exemplary embodiment of the invention. Show it:
Fig. 1 shows a partial section through a permanent magnet brake belonging to the prior art.
Fig. 2 shows a partial section through an inventive fastening arrangement on the rotor part, enlarged.
The permanent magnet brake shown in FIG. 1 is described in detail in the aforementioned EP-A-0084140 and belongs to the prior art. Therefore, only the parts of the permanent magnet brake necessary for understanding the present invention are explained. According to FIG. 1, a hub 10 is attached to a transmission shaft, not shown. On this hub 10, a sleeve 12 is rotatably supported relative to the hub 10 via a roller bearing 11. A support 13 is attached to the sleeve 12, which itself consists of several parts and is mounted in a vehicle in a stationary manner. The support 13 carries a stator part 14 which has an annular cavity 15 with magnetic members 16 arranged therein.
As is known per se, in this permanent magnet brake the magnetic members 16 consist of pole pieces of alternating polarity, which are adjoined by fixed and rotatable permanent magnets, the fixed permanent magnets abutting the pole pieces and the rotatable permanent magnets being provided with segment-shaped pole pieces which engage in corresponding recesses in the pole pieces . 1 shows a stationary pole piece 22 with adjacent inner and outer permanent magnets 31 and 32 and associated yoke plates 33 and 34. A rotor part 17 is fastened to the hub 10 rotating with the gear shaft, which in turn can consist of several parts. The rotor part 17 is designed here in such a way that the two end faces of the stator part 14 each face a fan wheel 18 and 19.
An annular disk-shaped eddy current brake disk 27 is fastened to each of the two fan wheels 18 and 19 by means of screw sets, not shown here, arranged in segments on the circumference on at least two circles. Between the stator part 14 and the rotor part 17, i. H. An air gap 20 is predetermined between the two end faces of the magnetic members 16 and the associated two eddy current brake disks 27. The braking force to be achieved is largely influenced by the size of this provided or predetermined air gap 20.
2, the connection according to the invention of the eddy current brake disks 27 to the corresponding fan wheels 18 and 19 on the rotor part 17 has spring-loaded fastening means 40 which can be mounted with radial play and which are arranged on two different circles in a segment-like manner on the circumference of the eddy current brake disk 27 on the rotor part 17 Fig. 2 only one fan wheel 19 is shown for example as a sheet metal construction. Such a fastening means 40 consists of a spacer 41, threaded on both sides, a screw 42, a nut 43, two washers 44 and springs 45. Furthermore, the spacer 41 has guide surfaces 46 on two opposite sides, which have an elongated hole 47 in the fan wheels 18 and 19 cooperate as centering and driver.
The spacer bolt is mounted or screwed onto the end of the eddy current brake disc 27 with the screw 42. The fan wheels 18 and 19 are with the nuts 43 and springs 45, z. B. a plate spring package, pressed with a constant pressure on the eddy current brake disc. This spring pressure is predetermined so that when the eddy current brake disc 27 and the fan wheel 18 or 19 are heated unevenly, the two parts can be displaced in the radial direction relative to one another, the elongated holes 47 ensuring this radial play.
It can also be advantageous that only a part of the fastening means 40 is designed as a centering and driver, or that separate centering and driver wedges with correspondingly interacting elongated holes are provided for the radial play.
A strong heating of the eddy current brake disc 27 has an effect on the fixed connection between the eddy current brake disc 27 and the fan wheel 18 or 19 according to FIG. 1 in such a way that the air gap 20 between the stator part 14 and the rotor part 17 enlarges particularly on its outside, which leads to a large one Brake power drop leads. A limited displacement of the eddy current brake disk 27 relative to the fan wheels 18 and 19 in the radial direction is ensured by the fastening arrangement according to the invention according to FIG. 2. The air gap 20 remains approximately constant even in the event of strong heating, as a result of which the drop in performance can be kept within permissible limits.
