DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a press brake comprising an upper deck supporting at least one upper tool, a lower deck supporting at least one lower tool, and a rear stop device comprising at least one rear stop with at least two axes of movement.
The replacement of a tool on a press brake is generally done manually when the tool or the tool element is not too heavy, or using a winch and pulley device, integral or not of the press, and which in any case requires significant manual intervention.
The object of the present invention is to provide a press brake arranged so as to allow automatic replacement of the tool, requiring only very limited manual intervention.
To this end, the present invention relates to a press brake as defined in claim 1.
The invention will be clearly understood with the aid of the description which follows, given by way of example, and which refers to the drawings, in which:
fig. 1 is a cross section of an example of a press brake according to the invention, the tool replacement device being at rest,
fig. 2 is a cross section of the press of FIG. 1, the tool replacement device being in an intermediate working position, and
fig. 3 is a cross section of another example of a press brake according to the invention.
The press brake shown in fig. 1 comprises an upper deck 1 supporting a punch 2, and a lower deck 3 supporting a die 4. The press further comprises a rear stop device comprising two rear stops 6 which can be actuated independently of one another by means of d a control device not shown. Each of the rear stops has a stop body 7 which can move along a horizontal movement path 11 perpendicular to the plane of the press, and along a vertical movement path 10 parallel to the plane of the press.
The stop body 7 is surmounted by a carriage 8 comprising a stop finger 9 against the end of which the sheet 5 abuts before the folding operation. On the stop finger 9 are mounted two arms 12 and 16 intended for replacing the tools of the press, the arm 12 being intended for replacing the die, and the arm 16 for replacing the punch. The arms can also be mounted on the front part of the stop carriage.
The arm 12 is mounted in rotation about a horizontal axis 13 parallel to the plane of the press and integral with the stop finger 9. a pin 14 is fixed at one of its ends to the free end of the arm 12, right angle with the end part of the arm 12. The other end of the pin 14 has a flange 15. The movement of the arm 12 can be controlled by an automatic control device (not shown) also allowing the control of the movement of the stop 6, the combination of said movements being able to be coordinated so that the pin 14 can be introduced into a hole 19 made in the die 4.
The length of the pin 14 is substantially greater than the width of the die 4 so that, when the pin 14 is inserted into the hole 19 of the die, the flange 15 of the pin is located outside the hole 19 of so as to allow lateral retention of the matrix on the pin when the matrix is raised. The exact positioning of the pin in the hole in the die can be obtained for example using a spring placed on the pin. The matrix 4 comprises two holes 19 intended to receive the pins of each of the two arms 12 mounted respectively on each of the stops 6.
The position on the matrix of the holes 19 is determined by the planes in which the pins move, which, given the combination of movements described above, are vertical planes perpendicular to the plane of the press. After the two pins have been introduced into the two holes 19 of the matrix, the movement of the two stops 6 as well as the rotational movements of the two arms 12 are coordinated so as to allow the lifting of the matrix (FIG. 2) and its movement to a storage device 30. The storage device comprises pairs of support elements 31 provided with pins 32 arranged in the same way as the pins 14 and arranged in pairs.
The die 4 further comprises two holes 20, the spacing of which corresponds to that of the pins of a pair of pins 32 so as to allow the matrix to be deposited on a pair of pins 32. The replacement device can then be actuated by so as to fetch another matrix 4 suspended from another pair of hooks 31 of the storage device 30.
The arm 16 is fixedly mounted on the stop finger 9. It is arranged parallel to the plane of the press. A pin 17, arranged perpendicular to the arm 16, is fixed to the end of the latter. Like the pin 14, the pin 17 has a flange 18, the function of which is the same as that of the flange 15 of the pin 14. The movement of the rear stopper takes place in a vertical plane perpendicular to the plane of the press, since 'it only depends on the displacement of the stop along paths 10 and 11. This movement can be controlled so as to allow the introduction of the pin 17 into a hole 21 of the punch 2. The punch has two holes 21 intended to receive the pins of each of the two arms 17 mounted respectively on each of the stops 6.
As in the case of the replacement of the die, after the two pins 17 have been introduced into the two holes 21 of the punch, the movements of the two stops 6 are coordinated so as to allow the displacement of the punch to the storage device 30. The punch further comprises a pair of holes 22, situated for example above the holes 21, and the spacing of which corresponds to that of the pairs of pins 32 of the storage device 30, so as to allow the punch on a pair of pins 32.
The press described above has two independent rear stops 6, each of which can move along two axes. Of course, the same tool replacement device can be mounted on a rear stop device with two axes of movement comprising integral rear stops.
The locking of the tool on the pins 14, 17 or 27 can also be achieved by means of a groove in. the pin, the width of this groove corresponding to the width of the tool.
The press shown in fig. 3 comprises a rear stop device comprising two rear stops 6 which can be actuated independently of one another like those of the press in FIG. 1.
The arrangement of the stop for replacing the tools differs from that of the press stop in FIG. 1 in that each stop has only one arm 26 allowing the replacement of the die 4 or that of the punch 2. The arm 26 is formed at the end of the finger 9 of the stop. It is arranged parallel to the plane of the press and comprises a pin 27 similar to the pin 17 of the example in FIG. 1.
The movement of the stops and, in the case of the press of FIG. 1, the rotational movement of the arm 12 are automatically controlled using a computer.
According to an alternative embodiment, the press brake comprises rear stops with three axes of movement, that is to say two axes allowing the movement of the stop in a plane perpendicular to the plane of the press and an axis allowing the lateral movement of the stop in a shot parallel to shot of press. Such stops are often used in large presses in which the die and / or the punch consist of a set of juxtaposed elements. According to this variant, the arms 12, 16 or 26 each have two pins 14, 17 or 27 fixed at their free end so that a die or punch element can be lifted and moved by a single arm. The lateral displacement of the two stops makes it possible to successively replace each of the die and / or punch elements.
For the rest, the replacement device can be the same as that described above.
In the example of fig. 1, the storage device 30 is arranged so that the replacement tools are suspended from the elements 31 in the form of hooks. Of course, any other arrangement and any other arrangement of the storage device can be envisaged. The storage device can for example be located at ground level or at an intermediate level, so that the tools are not suspended there, but simply placed. In such a case, the arm 16 must be mounted in rotation on the stop, while the arm 12 can be mounted fixed. According to another variant, the two arms 12 and 16 can be mounted in rotation.
According to a variant of the example of FIG. 3 (not shown), one can also consider mounting the single arm in rotation on the stop, this arm allowing the displacement of the die or that of the punch, and by providing two pins mounted on either side of the arm.
