Abstract

The movement (5) is fitted into a central recess in a back (3) which is covered by a cap (2) contg. the glass, secured by screws (10). The carrier has flat lateral extensions (6-9) which are gripped between the back and the cover. Pref. the watch is assembled with its dial, hands and stem (11) fitted to the movement which rests in the back without contact pressure until the cover of e.g. organi material is screwed (1) to the back. The lengthwise extensions (6,8) may constitute a wrist strap. USE/ADVANTAGE - Also for pocket watch or alarm or table clock, movement is held more firmly and stabilised in carrier which does not need precise machining.
