Abstract

The display panel has the required information represented by alphanumeric characters, each formed from a number of magnetic segments, for magnetic adherence to the surface of the metal panel. The magnetic segments have two alternate lengths to allow the obtained characters to closely match the standard alphanumeric characters. Pref. the surface of the display panel is marked with a reference grid at each possible character position, to ensure correct relative positioning of the adjacent character segments.    BESCHREIBUNG



   Die Erfindung basiert auf der Verwendung der in der Elektronik angewandten Digitalschrift mit sieben Strichelementen für die Darstellung von Zahlen und/oder Schriftzeichen. Um eine optimale proportionale Darstellung zu erreichen, werden bei der vorliegenden Erfindung zwei verschieden lange Strichelemente verwendet. Durch Veränderung der sieben Basiselemente können sowohl die Zahlen von 0-9, als auch das vollständige Alphabet in Grossbuchstaben dargestellt werden. Die Darstellung einzelner Zeichen kann durch die Verwendung von kleinen Zusatzelementen noch verbessert werden.



   Die Erfindung macht sich diese Darstellungsart zunutze, um variable Zahlenangaben und/oder Schriftzeichen auf einfache Weise auf einer Anzeigetafel manuell zusammenzustellen. Dazu wird eine metallische Anzeigetafel verwendet, auf welche die einzelnen Strichelemente magnetisch haftend in vorgezeichnete Grundmuster aufgelegt werden können.



   Die vorliegende Erfindung soll primär für die Preisauszeichnung an Tankstellen Anwendung finden. Zur Zeit erfolgt diese Anzeige meist mittels drei nebeneinander in einem Rahmen stehenden, beidseitig bedruckten Zahlentafeln. Zur Darstellung der gebräuchlichen Preisvarianten sind in der Regel siebzehn Zahlentafeln erforderlich. Eine Anzeige in zwei Richtungen erfordert zwei getrennte Zahlenrahmen. Demgegenüber genügen für die Auszeichnung der gleichen Preisvarianten in Digitalschrift acht längere und vierzehn kürzere Strichelemente. Durch die Verwendung einer beidseitig bedruckten Grundtafel ist nur ein einfacher Tafelhalter erforderlich.



   Ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung ist in den Figuren dargestellt.

Neben dieser spezifischen Anwendung soll die Erfindung sinngemäss als alpha-numerisches Anzeigesystem auch in anderen Bereichen Verwendung finden und entsprechend geschützt werden. 



  
 



   DESCRIPTION



   The invention is based on the use of the digital font used in electronics with seven line elements for the representation of numbers and / or characters. In order to achieve an optimal proportional representation, two differently long line elements are used in the present invention. By changing the seven basic elements, the numbers from 0-9 as well as the complete alphabet can be shown in capital letters. The display of individual characters can be improved by using small additional elements.



   The invention makes use of this type of representation in order to manually compile variable numbers and / or characters in a simple manner on a display board. For this purpose, a metallic display board is used, on which the individual line elements can be magnetically adhered in pre-drawn basic patterns.



   The present invention is primarily intended to be used for price labeling at petrol stations. At the moment this display is usually carried out by means of three number plates standing side by side in a frame. Seventeen numerical tables are usually required to display the usual price variants. A two-way display requires two separate number frames. In contrast, eight longer and fourteen shorter line elements are sufficient for the award of the same price variants in digital script. By using a base plate printed on both sides, only a simple plate holder is required.
