Fig. 1 in stark vergrösserter Darstellung die geschnittene Teilansicht des Deckels gemäss der Neuerung;
Fig. 2 in geschnittener Darstellung die Seitenansicht des oberen Teils eines Blechgebindes mit aufgesetztem Deckel gemäss der Neuerung;
Fig. 3 mehrere neuerungsgemässe Deckel untereinander gestapelt, und
Neuerung untereinander zentrierend zusammenwirken.

The innovation relates to a removable cover according to the preamble of claim 1.
For the optimal practical use of containers, the properties and reliability of the closure elements play an important role in the suitability of the containers for packaging, storage and transport.
So - in addition to the basic requirement of optimal tightness - the lid, which generally serves as a closure element: - must be relatively easy to close and, in connection with it, may require the lowest possible axial force when applying, - a centering, stacking of closed, identical containers from both the design as well as the axial load, and also ensure that several pallets with closed containers are stacked on top of each other, - resilience due to filling loads from the inside of the container during transport - withstand even with static permanent load, - practically do not allow lifting during transport, - easy Allow opening and reclosing without causing damage to the lid and / or fuselage,
without the use of auxiliary tools and without the sealing tightness being impaired, -sto be stackable among one another, so that automatic lapping is also possible during filling.
In general, sheet metal containers, such as. B. cylindrical or oval-conical buckets, closed with metal lids. Experience had shown that sheet metal lids were apparently best able to meet the above requirements. In any case, there were hardly any containers of the type mentioned in large quantities in practice, which, for. B. were closed with plastic lids, which were borrowed in their basic construction from the plastic bucket industry, where they are used in a wide variety of embodiments.
Designs of plastic lids that have features according to the preamble are known per se (e.g.
DT-OS 2806339; DT-GM 7919123; DT-GM7912777).
The object of the present innovation is to further develop the generic container lid so that its application in connection with containers made of sheet metal, for example of the type indicated at the outset, can be further improved and safely extended to a larger scope of use, the requirements listed above being met in an even better framework will.
Said object is achieved with the features contained in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.
This lid marked in this way not only fulfills the requirements listed above in a reliable form, it also has the further particular advantage that when the same containers are closed, the bottom fold of the upper container placed on the flat part of the step section of the lid of the container below stands up centering, the axial load resulting from the weight (container and filling material) being absorbed by the step portion and at least partial components of the resulting bearing force being transferred to the inner collar, which in connection therewith reinforces the ring portion, in particular non-positively, on the inner wall of the upper portion Bring the end of the container body to the system.
This, together with increased tightness, results in an increased frictional connection of the cover in its closed position.
According to a further feature of the innovation, the ring section of the inner collar is hollow cylindrical and the end section tapers towards its end, the free end itself being curved radially inwards. This design stabilizes the edge area of the lid according to the innovation and at the same time improves the centering of the lid in the bucket opening and the centering when stacking identical lids with one another.
It is particularly advantageous in connection with this that the end section of the inner collar starts approximately in the area of the plane spanned by the inside of the lid base.
This results in an optimal length of the end section and the associated elasticity.
Particularly advantageous in connection with this is the feature that the free end of the end section projects beyond the level formed by the inside of the lid base by approximately the height of the step section.
According to a further feature of the innovation, the outer collar provided with a bulge on the inside has a length that is less by the region of the height of the step section than the length of the inner collar.
For a better stacking of the cover according to the innovation, the end section of the collar can be angled radially outwards according to a further feature of the innovation.
The container itself can finally resist
behavior against torsion can be improved according to a further feature in that the step section is provided on the inside with rib webs.
The innovation is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment which is shown in the drawing. Show it:
Figure 1 in a greatly enlarged representation, the sectional partial view of the lid according to the innovation;
2 shows a sectional representation of the side view of the upper part of a sheet metal container with a lid according to the innovation;
Fig. 3 several lids according to the innovation stacked, and
Fig. 4 is a container representation analogous to FIG. 2 with the same sheet metal container placed on this.
With 1 in FIGS. 2 and 4 of the drawing, the upper part of a body of a container made of sheet metal is designated. It can be, for example, packaging containers of different configurations, for example cylindrical, oval-conical or the like.
Trade buckets, these mainly have a nominal content between 10 and 20 liters. As can further be seen from FIG. 2, the free end of the fuselage is provided with a border 2. Depending on the type of container, this can be round, long-oval or the like in cross-section.
The lid according to the innovation, which is generally designated 3 and has the shape of a slip lid, can best be seen from FIG. 1. It has a lid base 4, the cut radially outwards via an upward stairs 5 into the inner collar 6, which together with the
Outer collar 11 forms an inverted U in profile. The radial one
Distance and the shape between the inner collar 6 and the outer collar 11 are designed so that this is preferably with a
Bordierung 2 or the like. Provided open fuselage end of the Gebin which is closed in the closed state of the cover 3 form and / or non-positive.
Said inner collar 6 has a perpendicular to the horizontal plane of the step portion 5 directed downwards
Ring section 7, which is hollow cylindrical and merges into an end section 8, which tapers towards its free end and is inclined radially inwards. The free end is also inclined like an arc.
Above the step section 5 joins the inner collar 6 to a diverging wall section 9, the inclination of which corresponds to the outer wall 16 of the end section 8 of the inner race 6. The angular positions of the wall section 9 on the one hand and the end section 8 in front of its arcuate
Inward curvature of the free end corresponds to alternating angles in the mathematical sense. Both surfaces correspond to each other, as can be seen from FIG. 3 of the drawing, in which they stack according to the same lid when stacked
Centering on innovation.
With regard to the size ratios of the individual components of the lid in connection with their effect, it has been found that the end section 8 of the inner collar 6 should start approximately in the area spanned by the inside 10 of the lid base 4 (see FIG. 1). Furthermore, the free end of the end section 8 of the inner collar 6 should project beyond the level formed by the inside 10 of the lid base 4 by approximately the height of the step section 5. Both size requirements optimize the function of the end section 8.
As can further be seen from the figures of the drawing, but in particular from FIG. 1, the outer collar 11 has a bead 12 on the inside in a manner known per se which, as can be seen from FIGS. 2 and 4, is in the closed state of the Lid 3 snaps under the border 2 and thus participates to a significant extent in the closure function, which - as already mentioned above - is determined overall by the radial distance and the shape between the inner collar 6 and the outer collar 11, the open provided with a border 2 End of the body 1 of the container in the closed state of the lid is positively and / or non-positively.
A certain setting of the plastic material of the cover 3 has a favorable effect with regard to its elasticity.
In the embodiment of the cover according to the innovation shown in the drawing, the end section 13 of the outer collar 11 is angled radially outward. This construction feature has the advantage that when the lid is mechanically removed, the same lid stacked on top of one another is better removed as part of the automatic lidding process.
To improve the torsional rigidity of the cover itself, the step section 5 can be provided on the inside with rib webs 14 known per se.
From Fig. 2, which shows the closed position of the new lid 3 on a metal container in the form of an exemplary embodiment, it becomes clear in connection with the new features that practically ideal conditions have been created for a new type of closure of a metal container, whereby by the design of Inner collar 6 and outer collar 11 in cooperation with the corresponding plastic material, an optimal positive and non-positive connection is created, which is a prerequisite for a reliable fit of the lid 3 on the container. In addition, in this case the length of the inner collar 6 and its relatively large contact with the inner wall of the container body create an ideal sealing possibility.
When loaded by one or more stacked containers of the same type provided with filling material, the sealing and sealing effect will not only not be impaired, but will be increased if necessary, since the axial load is converted into essential partial components with radial pressure via the inner collar 6. The filled container or containers placed on top of each other rest with their bottom fold on the horizontal plane of the step section 5, the diverging wall section 9 acting in the sense of fixing the stack in each case centering.
To facilitate the removal of the lid 3 from the filled container or its entire handling, the outer edge of the lid 3 can have, for example in the area of the outer collar 11, a finger strip which is known per se and protrudes slightly outwards (shown in the drawing) at a suitable point.
