PATENTANSPRUCH

PATENT CLAIM
Socket insert for incandescent lamps, characterized in that the same sleeve-shaped (1) is made of current-conducting metal and that at least one opening with an inserted rivet (2) is made in the lateral surface, which is held resiliently by a spring band (4) and which has an incandescent thread body (3) can be brought into firm contact, while on the bottom (5) of the sleeve-shaped fitting insert (1) an opening for the positive contact is provided by a first connecting screw (6), and a second connecting screw (7) is attached as a negative pole, the first connecting screw (6) is separated from the floor (5) by an insulating layer (9) and the whole is sealed from the outside by an insulating socket casing (10).
The present invention relates to a socket insert for incandescent lamps.
Incandescent lamps are known to have a threaded body at their lower end, which is screwed into an incandescent lamp socket.
The disadvantages of the mentioned bulb holder include
to be seen in the fact that due to the formation of condensation in the threads, metallic signs of corrosion appear, which lead to e.g. a light bulb can no longer be unscrewed from the bulb thread socket. It often happens that when trying to unscrew the bulb in the base breaks. The light bulb is then destroyed and the threaded body can only be unscrewed from the light bulb socket with the help of a tool and with great effort.
The purpose of the present invention relates to a socket insert for incandescent lamps, which eliminates all the disadvantages mentioned above.
The invention is explained by means of an exemplary embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawing.
The figure shows a longitudinal section through the socket insert for incandescent lamps with an incandescent lamp held therein on a greatly enlarged scale, the one thread of an incandescent lamp being drawn on an even larger scale.
The socket for an incandescent lamp consists of a current-carrying metal sleeve 1. This metal sleeve has at least one opening in the outer surface for receiving the rivet 2. The current supply is carried out by both the metal sleeve 1 and the rivet 2. So that the filament thread body 3 is fixed by the rivet Contact is made, the rivet 2 is resiliently fixed by means of a spring band 4. The metal sleeve 1 has the power supply 6 at the bottom 5 and the connecting screw 7 for the negative pole.
A conventional incandescent lamp can now either be screwed into the sleeve-shaped socket insert 1 with its threaded body 3, the thread 8 running along the rivet 2. When the bulb is removed, it is screwed in the opposite direction. However, it has been shown that it is not absolutely necessary for the threaded body 3 of the incandescent lamp to be screwed in or out, it is sufficient if the threaded body 3 is simply pushed in or pushed out. The rivet 2 held by the spring leaf 4 enables it to yield resiliently both when it is pushed in and when the filament lamp holder is pulled out.
At the bottom 5 of the metal sleeve, the positive contact of the power supply is resiliently attached to the insulating compound 9 by the connecting screw 6. The current-carrying metal sleeve 1 has a further connecting screw 7 on the bottom 5, which represents the negative pole. The sleeve-shaped socket insert 1 for incandescent lamps is secured to the outside by the socket jacket 10, which consists of a known insulating compound.
The advantages of the socket insert according to the invention for incandescent lamps are numerous. The bulb holder insert no longer requires an internal thread, which is easier for production, so that the production costs can be reduced considerably. The threaded base of the incandescent lamp is still there as such, but the casing of the incandescent lamp socket no longer has to be designed as a thread. Corrosion phenomena are reduced because the outer surface of the socket insert has a smaller contact area with the threaded base of a conventional light bulb. The sleeve-shaped lampholder insert according to the invention is suitable for all conventional types of incandescent lamps without the thread of the incandescent lamp having to be changed.
