Vergleiche: Figur 2 Winkel all, Figur 3 Winkel a21.

11. Scanning device for use with an angle measuring device according to claim 1, characterized by two lateral and a middle arm, a pin provided on the middle arm being connected to a potentiometer.
The present invention relates to an angle measuring device according to the preamble of independent claim 1.
For the manufacture of a dental prosthesis (partial steel prosthesis), it is important to determine the exact insertion direction.
The known parallelometers do not make it possible to determine and record the angle of inclination for more than two teeth.
In a known parallelometer according to DE-PS No. 2 207 797, the two angles are measured and displayed with a rhombus-like, sliding arm.
The bisector is displayed with the vertical bar. It is difficult to maintain the average value of the angles of different teeth.
The different bisectors of the angle must be drawn on the plaster base.
Furthermore, it is also important to measure the retention limits of each tooth and to include them in the measurement of the insertion direction.
With the support device for the worktop of a tooth measuring device according to DE-OS 2 533 224, the angles can be measured. But to hold the angles, you need a plate with an annular recess. Such a recess must be specified, otherwise the worktop can swing out with the probe tip and is not fixed. It is not always indicated that the bisecting angle is also the ideal direction.
Each time the model is tilted, the angles to the vertical and the retention zones change.
With the clamp force measurement, a favorable insertion direction is obtained for each clamp (each clamp tooth), which is determined according to the type of clamp, the size of the retention area, functionally or from an aesthetic point of view.
The invention has for its object to provide an angle measuring device with which accurate angles can be measured, i. H. precisely shows the position of a model table to the vertical and measures the retention zones of a tooth as well as the length of the retention area and electronically displays the angles.
According to the invention, this is achieved by the characterizing features of patent claim 1.
The device can be used with any parallelometer. All that is required is a commercially available parallelometer, which is available in every laboratory, and the various retention points of each tooth can be measured with a scanning device.
With preferred embodiments according to claims 1 to 6, the position of the work table can be determined. The ideal position or tilt of the work table determines the direction of insertion of the denture.
The advantages of the embodiments according to claims 4 to 6 are that the data obtained can be fed to a computer which compares the different angles with one another, calculates and displays the average of the insertion direction angles. The computer can be queried as to which direction of insertion should be selected if this type of clamps and position of the spring arm is to be used. According to the Ney system (the cast partial prosthesis, publisher Degussa, 6 Frankfurt am Main), different measuring devices are required for each type of clamp, which measure the different retention sites. Only one scanner is required. Intermediate values of the plate sizes can also be measured depending on the hardness, resilience of the steel or the gold.
The same angle measuring device can be used for thickness measurements on gold crowns and other prostheses.
Exemplary embodiments of the invention are described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

The complete angle measuring device 1 is shown in FIG.
It comprises a display and setting device 2 with a changeover switch 3 and setting buttons 4, 5 and 6. Furthermore, a digital display scale 7 as well as an acoustic display 8 and an optical display 9 are provided. A model table 11 is mounted on a rod 10 which can be pivoted about two axes, on which the mold 12 of the jaw can be placed. A tripod 13 has a double arm 15 which can be pivoted laterally about a joint 14 and which is rotatably fastened at one end 16 to the tripod rod. At its other end 17, a scanning device 18 is attached to the end 17 of the double arm 15 with a holding rod.
The scanner has two mutually movable arms 19 and 20.
The principle of angle measurement is shown in FIG. By tilting the model table 11 with the jaw model 12 thereon, the angle of the table to the vertical is adjusted.
The measurement takes place mechanically according to these figures. The chewing plane KE forms a right angle with the vertical (arrow). For the sake of simplicity, the model was placed parallel to the chewing level. The position of the model does not have to correspond to this ideal case.
Different angles are created when the model table is tilted. Compare: Figure 2 angle all, Figure 3 angle a21.
First the zero position of the model table is determined.
The chewing level is perpendicular to the vertical and is recorded as a zero angle.
The angles a1 and a11 are different.
Since the angles are different, the retention sites a1 and a2 will also be different. We are looking for the length of the retention area a.
Since the leg c is of the same length for each measurement, a triangle with a right angle can be created outside the tooth. It is therefore only necessary to measure an angle a. The sine is multiplied by the length of the leg c. Because only very small angles are measured for the teeth, the opening of the angle can be directly calibrated to a length dimension. However, if an exact calculation is required, the data can be calculated trigonometrically.
Figures 3 and 4 show an example of a measurement.
Retention zones of the same size are sought for both teeth.
The inclination axis of the teeth can also be measured in exactly the same way. It only has to overlap the vertical measuring rod with the tooth axis and the angle of the work table can be measured.
FIG. 3 shows the change in the angle a2l when the work table is tilted against mesial m. The model was tilted until the premolar angle a2 is zero. The angle a4 is obtained.
FIG. 4 shows the measurement as in FIG. 2 for the molar. The angle a5 is obtained.
If, according to FIGS. 5 and 6, the angle bisector is calculated from the angles a4 and a5, the same angles a7 and a7 1 are obtained for both teeth.
The perspective view of an angle measuring device can be seen from FIG. The measuring device consists of a model table 11 on which an adjusting ring 21 with a screw 22 is attached in the middle at the bottom. The rod 10 is inserted and screwed onto this adjusting ring. The other side of the rod is in turn screwed with an adjusting ring 23. The adjusting ring 23 is connected to a metal bracket 24, which in turn has two adjusting rings 25, 26 with screws 27, 28. The bracket 24 with the rod 10 and the model table 11 on it is screwed onto a first axis 29. The axis 29 is rotatable, mounted with two set screws 30, 31 in a housing 32. The adjusting rings 30, 31 prevent the axle 29 from slipping in the housing. The axis 29 can rotate.
A second axis 33 is fixedly attached to the housing 32 on one side and rotatably mounted in a large housing 34 on the other side. The axis 33 is fixedly connected to the housing 34 and to a first potentiometer 35 for the current measurement. A second bracket 36 is firmly connected to the axles and runs along with the axis rotation. A second potentiometer 37 for current measurement is screwed into a hole 38. An axis 39 of the potentiometer 37 is fixedly connected to the axis 29 via a clamping piece 40.
The worktop or model table can thus be swiveled horizontally in all directions. The potentiometers measure the deviation of the model table from the vertical.
The electromagnets are not shown.
The scanner can be seen in FIG. The mounting arm 41 is used for clamping in a parallelometer arm. It is screwed to the housing 43 with a screw 42.
An axis 44 of a potentiometer 45 is screwed onto a coupling 46. On the clutch 46, a second axis 47 is rotatably mounted in the housing 43.
A probe arm 48 is screwed onto the coupling at right angles to the axis 47. Furthermore, a movable probe wire 49 with a part 50 bent at right angles is provided. A lamp 51 is screwed to the housing. The potentiometer runs with the movement of the touch wire 49.
Figure 9 shows the scanner viewed from the front. The lamp is electrically connected to the continuity tester. It lights up when the two probe arms are short-circuited by the damp plaster model.
The probe arm and the probe wire are designed in such a way that they are otherwise electrically isolated.
The multi-core connection cable for the power supply is not shown.
FIG. 9 also shows an example of length a according to FIGS. 2 to 4. The feeler wire is equal to leg c. The probe arm is equal to the leg b. The length a is searched.
The block diagram of the electrical measuring device can be seen from FIG.
The circuit is designed as a resistance measuring bridge.
This enables an exact measurement of the resistance change of the potentiometer P1. The zero position of the model table or the probe arms is set with a potentiometer P2. A potentiometer P3 is required to set the input voltage. It is important that this tension remains very constant.
The resulting voltage is displayed digitally with a digital voltmeter 52.
The digital information can be input to a computer 53 for storage.
A resistance measuring bridge and possibly a digital voltmeter are required for each potentiometer for the angle measurement.
FIG. 11 shows a continuity tester 54 with the scanning device.
If the two probe arms are short-circuited, this current is amplified and fed to the loudspeaker and the lamp. So there is certainty that both arms touched the model during the measurement.
A second exemplary embodiment of a scanning device is shown in FIGS. 12 and 13, the scanning device 55 being shown in a position in the lower jaw in FIG. 13. The scanner comprises two lateral arms 56 and 57, which can be placed on the molars of the lower jaw. A middle arm 58 with an intermediate joint 59 is provided between the two lateral arms 56 and 57. A pin 61 rotatable about an axis 60 is mounted on the joint 59. When the pin 61 is rotated, the resistance of a potentiometer 62 is changed.
The position of a tooth is determined with the scanning wire 49 on the plaster model using the scanning device according to FIGS. 8 and 9, it being possible to measure directly on the teeth in the dentition using the scanning device according to FIGS. 12 and 13 with the pin 61.
14 shows the tooth attachment 63 used in the measurement with a scanning device according to FIGS. 12 and 13. This attachment is placed over a tooth 64 when measuring with the rod 61.
FIG. 15 shows how the scanning device according to FIGS. 12 and 13 is mounted on the rear teeth 65.
A deformable mass 66 is placed over the molars.
With the attachments 64, the scanning device is mounted on the molars 65 by means of the mass 66.
16 shows a somewhat modified embodiment of the scanning device according to FIGS. 12 and 13. In this embodiment, only one arm 68 of the scanner is used. In this embodiment, it is used to take measurements on the molars and premolars.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 17, a drill head 69 of an angle handpiece is provided instead of the rod 61.
