The invention relates to a work chair with adjustable in height and inclination by means of gas pressure springs, carried by a seat support seat plate and independently of the seat plate inclination in its inclination adjustable backrest support.
Work chairs of this type serve, for example, as office chairs, that is to say typewriter or desk chairs, and in this case are usually designed to be rotatable about a vertical axis as a swivel chair and in many cases also as a wheelchair; but they can also be found as seats for the operator of various types of machines, such as. B. machine tools, or at other manufacturing workplaces, and also as driver seats for a wide variety of vehicles, for example in locomotives of different designs, and then mostly fixed and possibly rotatable about a vertical axis, use.
For all types of work chairs, special emphasis must be placed on adaptability of the chair to the size and other physical characteristics of the person who is supposed to sit on the chair for a long time and be able to work as fatigue-free as possible, for occupational medical and ergonomic reasons. This includes, of course, an adjustment of the height of the seat together with the backrest, but also an adjustment of the inclination of the seat and the height of the backrest relative to the seat and the inclination of the backrest.
So-called synchronous adjustability, i.e. always uniform or at least interdependent inclination adjustment of the seat and backrest, does not meet the requirements for adaptability as well as a so-called asynchronous adjustability, in which the seat inclination and backrest inclination can be adjusted as desired and independently of one another. Work chairs are known with both synchronous and asynchronous adjustment; the invention relates to the latter embodiment.
In these asynchronous work chairs, because of the desired independence of the inclination adjustment of the seat on the one hand and the backrest on the other hand, these two parts must be pivoted independently of one another on a common seat support; this seat support can then be adjusted in height as a whole, with all the parts it supports. All known asynchronous work chairs now have in common that the pivot axis between the seat support and the seat plate is approximately in the middle of the depth of the seat plate, or even further back, and this has certain disadvantages according to the findings on which the invention is based.
On the one hand, in the case of these work chairs, when the inclination of the seat surface is adjusted, the height of the front edge of the seat plate changes, that is to say the area in which the thighs of the chair user rest on the seat plate. Only at a single height of this front area of the seat plate do the feet of the chair user rest on the floor in exactly the desired, correct manner, with the result that the user, if he changes the seat plate inclination, for the purpose of maintaining this Altitude is forced to also adjust the height of the entire chair using the so-called height lift, and experience has shown that this does not always work right away.
On the other hand, these work chairs also have the disadvantage of lengthening or shortening the length of the seat and backrest, which leads to at least partial pulling out of the shirt from the pants of the chair user in the back area with frequent movements of the work chair user.
The invention has for its object to avoid the disadvantages of known asynchronous work chairs with the simplest means.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the pivot axis between the seat support and the seat plate for the inclination adjustment of the seat plate is arranged near the front end of the seat plate and the gas spring for the inclination adjustment of the seat plate relative to the seat support in the rear region of the seat plate engages the latter.
Since in the work chair according to the invention the pivot axis for changing the inclination of the seat plate lies in the very front area of the seat plate, the height of the front end of the seat plate, i.e. the area of the auna area of the thighs of the chair user, does not change when the seat plate inclination changes or only imperceptibly, so that with such an inclination adjustment, no readjustment of the elevator is necessary.
The gas spring for the seat plate tilt adjustment engages on a relatively large lever arm opposite the attached pivot axis, compared to chairs in which the pivot axis for the seat plate tilt adjustment is approximately in the middle of the depth of the seat plate and the associated gas pressure spring is fairly close to this pivot axis, and therefore only needs a weaker dimensioning.
The arrangement according to the invention also makes it easier for the chair user to make the seat plate inclination adjustment and can be carried out more sensitively than with known work chairs.
In a further development of the invention, this last-mentioned property enables an additional, essential advantage to be achieved. While in the known work chairs the seat plate inclination always remains locked in the position once set, it is possible with the working chair according to the invention to also make the seat plate inclination freely changeable, if desired, by locking the gas pressure for
makes the inclination adjustment of the seat surface permanently switchable, for example by means of the associated adjusting lever for this inclination adjustment; this can be achieved using the means known for such purposes, for example by corresponding link guidance of the adjusting lever. It then not only adapts to the movements of the chair user, as in the previously known work chairs, but also the seat plate, with the advantageous effect that the position of the backrest always fits the position of the seat plate exactly right. With this setting, that is to say when the locking device for the seat plate inclination adjustment is switched off, the described pull-out shirt effect is also reduced to a minimum.
Incidentally, the design according to the invention allows the gas pressure spring for the inclination adjustment of the seat plate to be arranged approximately vertically behind the center line of the gas pressure spring of the height lift for the height adjustment of the seat plate in a constructive manner, namely with regard to the accommodation and the force relationships.
Since the pivot bearing does not need to accommodate very large adjustment angles for the inclination adjustment of the seat plate, it is advantageously possible to design this pivot bearing as a rubber-elastic bearing.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown. The drawing shows, very highly schematized, a side view of the front part of the seat support with associated seat plate and with the gas pressure springs for the seat plate inclination adjustment and for the backrest inclination adjustment.
The seat plate support is designed as an upwardly open, approximately chalice-shaped housing, the outer contour lines of which are shown in broken lines. The seat plate 2 is pivotally connected to the seat support 1 via a rubber-elastic bearing 3 attached to its front end.
The backrest support 4 is connected to the seat support 1 so as to be pivotable about the pivot axis 5. A seat mounting plate (shown in dash-dotted lines) with the reference number 6 is connected to the seat plate 2 in its rear area, on its underside. Between the hinge point 7 of the seat mounting plate 6 and the hinge point 8 on the seat support, the gas pressure spring 9 is switched on for the seat plate inclination adjustment; Between the hinge point 10 of the seat support 1 and the hinge point 11 on the backrest support 4 is the gas pressure spring 12 for the backrest inclination adjustment.
The center line of the (not shown) elevator for the seat support is shown as a dash-dotted line 13; the gas pressure spring 9 for the seat plate inclination adjustment is approximately parallel to the center line 13, somewhat behind it.
The locking device for the gas pressure spring 9 of the seat plate inclination adjustment can be switched off by means (not shown), such as, for example, a correspondingly configured link guide for the (also not shown) adjusting lever for the seat plate inclination, so that the seat plate 2 then oscillates freely around the rubber-elastic bearing 3 and can therefore adapt to every movement of the chair user. It can be seen that the front support area 14 of the seat plate 2 practically does not change its height when the inclination of the seat plate 2 changes.
A maximum automatic adaptation of the work chair to the body properties and to the respective posture of the user results if the locking of the gas pressure spring 12 for the inclination adjustment of the backrest support 4 and thus the backrest can be switched off in the long run. This can be done by means (also not shown) on the adjusting lever for the backrest inclination, for example by means of a correspondingly designed link guide for this adjusting lever, or else by a separate operating element.
