The present invention relates to a table-stand-shaped information carrier which comprises a polygonal, essentially elongated block body having the information-bearing seat surfaces.
In addition to information carriers made of a tabular surface with an adjustable foot, those table-stand-shaped information carriers are known and in use, which consist of an elongated block body made of wood or the like, which generally forms an equilateral triangle in cross section, and whose visible surfaces then bear the inscription.
Such information carriers are used, for example, in counter service and can, for example, have the name of the person working at the counter on one surface, the information occupied or closed, etc. on another surface. wear. Depending on the arrangement of the information carrier, one or the other is then visible.
The present invention now aims to create an information carrier of the aforementioned type, which can be assembled and changed easily and without tools within a wide range of uses and also provides a good overall aesthetic effect.
This is achieved according to the invention by at least three profile rails which can be pushed into one another in the longitudinal extent in their edge regions to form the block body and which are designed to be identical and mutually interchangeable at least in their edge regions.
Here, a preferred embodiment of the information carrier according to the invention can be such that each profile rail has drawn-in longitudinal edges on both sides, each including an angle corresponding to the visible surface area of the profile rail, which corresponds to the polygonal cross-sectional shape of the block body, one longitudinal edge of a profile rail and the other longitudinal edge of each adjoining or overlapping profile rail. In this case, the embodiment is expediently such that the longitudinal edge of each profiled rail intended for reaching under is stepped in relation to the lateral surface of the block body, the lateral surface of the block body then continuing from one profiled rail to the other.
This results in a particularly aesthetic shape.
In order to achieve a good and guided collapsibility of the individual profiled rails into a block body, the configuration is expediently carried out in such a way that a longitudinal rib with an at least partially dovetail-shaped profile projects outwards from the free end of the longitudinal edge of each profiled rail intended to be gripped under, which ribs for positive engagement in one Corresponding longitudinal groove on the inside and in the transition area between the longitudinal edge intended for gripping over and the visible surface area of each profiled rail is determined, in which case the end face on the longitudinal edge carrying the longitudinal rib of each profiled rail forms a guide surface which is inclined at an angle and which, with a through one of the profiled rail protruding nose cooperates with the elongated counter surface on the longitudinal groove.
For a universal design of the visible surface areas as information signs, it is expedient if one or more of the profiled rails of the block body have longitudinal ribs forming guide rails on the visible surface area for receiving exchangeable labeling plates.
An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
Figure 1 shows an information carrier according to the invention, in a graphical representation; and
Figure 2 in side view and on an enlarged scale one of the profile rails forming the block body of the information carrier.
According to FIG. 1, the table support-shaped information carrier according to the invention is essentially an elongated block body, which presents itself in profile as an equilateral triangle.
This triangular shape is usually the most appropriate, but there is basically the possibility of any polygonal cross-sectional shape, for example a square, hexagonal or octagonal shape.
In the present case, the information carrier is formed from three profile rails 1 which can be pushed into one another in the longitudinal regions in their edge regions. Here, as FIG. 2 clearly shows, each profile rail 1 points on both sides
retracted longitudinal edges 2 or 3, each including with the visible surface area 4 of the profile rail an angle a, corresponding to the polygonal cross-sectional shape of the block body, here 600.
FIG. 1 clearly shows that in each case one longitudinal edge 2 of a profile rail 1 engages under the other longitudinal edge 3 of the adjacent profile rail 1 or that one longitudinal edge 2 overlaps the other longitudinal edge 3.
In order to achieve a practically transition-free connection from one partial lateral surface to the other, as the illustrations show, the longitudinal edge 2 of each profiled rail intended for reaching under is stepped in relation to the lateral surface of the block body.
For a positive, self-retaining and telescoping connection of the profile rail 1 with each other, a longitudinal rib 5 with an at least partially dovetail-shaped profile protrudes outwards from the free end of the longitudinal edge 2 of each profile rail 1 intended for gripping under.
This longitudinal rib 5 is used for positive engagement in a corresponding longitudinal groove on the inside of each profiled rail 1 in the transition area between the longitudinal edge 3 intended for gripping over and the visible surface area 4. For optimum lateral guidance, the end face 7 forms an angle on the longitudinal edge 2 carrying the longitudinal rib 5 , which is about 300 here, inclined guide surface. The corresponding counter surface 9 on the longitudinal groove 6 is formed by a nose 8 projecting from the profile rail 1 in the extension of the associated groove flank.
Interlocking raster depressions and elevations (not shown) can be provided on the contact edges for latching the profile rails 1 pushed into one another, which can be overcome by hand under the displacement pressure.
Basically, the profile rails 1 are at least in their edge regions 2, 3 identical to one another and can be exchanged as desired.
The profile rails 1 can also be configured with respect to the visible surfaces 4 the same or different. According to FIG. 1, for example, the left visible surface in the illustration is smooth, whereas the right and lower visible or standing surface have a plurality of longitudinal ribs 10 forming guide rails for receiving exchangeable labeling plates 11.
The design of the visible surface areas 4 can be carried out in the sense of the sign described in Swiss Patent No. 548 080 by the same applicant, which further increases the area of use of the information carrier described above.
