Homoptera, Heteroptera, Diptera, Akarina, Thysanoptera,
B. polymeren Stoffen in bekannter Weise verarbeitet.

EMI4.1

In formulas II to V, Rl and R2 have those for
Formula I has the meaning given, and X represents a halogen atom, in particular a chlorine atom.
The processes are carried out at a reaction temperature between - 50 and + 130 C, preferably between -10 and + 100 "C, at normal or slightly elevated pressure and in the presence of a base and, if appropriate, a solution or solvent which is inert to the reactants
Diluent made.
Suitable bases for the processes are, in particular, tertiary amines, such as trialkylamines, pyridines and dialkylanilines, hydroxides, oxides, carbonates and bicarboxylates of alkali and alkaline earth metals and alkali metal alcoholates such as, for. As potassium tert-butylate and sodium methy lat into consideration.
Suitable solvents or diluents are e.g. B.
Ether and ethereal compounds such as diethyl ether, di isopropyl ether, dioxane, tetrahydrofuran; aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, especially chloroform,
Benzene, chlorobenzene, toluene, xylenes; Ketones such as acetone,
Methyl ethyl ketone and cyclohexanone; Nitriles such as acetonitrile and dimethylformamide.
The starting materials of the formulas II to V are known or can be prepared analogously to known methods.
The compounds of formula I are suitable for combating pests on animals and plants. They are suitable for combating insects, phytopathogenic mites and ticks, e.g. B. the order Lepidoptera, Coleoptera,
Homoptera, heteroptera, Diptera, Akarina, Thysanoptera,
Orthoptera, Anoplura, Siphonaptera, Mallophaga, Thysa nura, Isoptera, Psocoptera and Hymenoptera.
Compounds of the formula I are particularly suitable for combating plant-damaging insects, in particular plant-damaging insects, in ornamental and useful plants, in particular in cotton crops (for example Spo doptera littoralis and Heliothis virescens) and vegetable crops (for example Leptinotarsa decemlineata and Myzus persicae).
In this context, it should be emphasized that the compounds mentioned have both a strong systemic and contact action against sucking insects, in particular against sucking insects of the Homoptera order, and above all against insects of the Aphididae family (such as, for example, Aphis fabae, Aphis craccivora and Myzus persicae), which are difficult to combat by known means.
Active ingredients of formula I also have a very beneficial effect against flies, such as. B. Musca domestica and mosquito larvae. In addition, the compounds of formula 1 are characterized by a broad ovicidal and ovolarvicidal activity.
In addition, the compounds of formula I have a valuable action against plant-parasitic nematodes and against ectoparasitic mites and ticks, for. B. the families Ixodidae, Argasidae and Dermanyssidae.
The compounds of formula I are used in unchanged form or preferably together with the auxiliaries customary in formulation technology and are therefore used, for. B. to emulsion concentrates, suspension concentrates, directly sprayable or dilutable solutions, diluted emulsions, wettable powders, soluble powders, dusts, granules, also encapsulations in z. B. polymeric materials processed in a known manner. The application methods, such as spraying, atomizing, dusting, scattering or pouring, are chosen in the same way as the type of agent, depending on the objectives and the given circumstances.
The formulations, i.e. H. the agents, preparations and composition containing the active ingredient of formula I are prepared in a known manner, e.g. by intimately mixing and / or grinding the active ingredients with extenders, such as. B. with solvents, solid carriers, and optionally surface-active substances (surfactants). Possible solvents are: aromatic hydrocarbons, preferably fractions C8 to Cd 2, such as. B. xylene mixtures or substituted naphthalenes, aliphatic hydrocarbons such as cyclohexane or paraffins, alcohols and glycols and their ethers and esters,
Ketones such as cyclohexanone, strongly polar solvents such as N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, dimethyl sulfoxide or dimethyl formamide and water and optionally epoxidized vegetable oils, such as epoxidized coconut or soybean oil.
As solid carriers, e.g. B. for dusts and dispersible powders, natural rock powders are usually used, such as calcite, talc, kaolinite, montmorillonite or attapulgite. To improve the physical properties, highly disperse silica or highly disperse absorbent polymers can also be added. As granular, adsorptive granulate carriers come porous types such. B.
Pumice stone, broken brick, sepiolite and bentonite as non-sorptive support materials such. B. calcite or sand in question. In addition, a large number of granulated materials of inorganic or organic nature, in particular Do lomite up to ground plant residues, can be used.
Depending on the polarity of the active ingredient of the formula I to be formulated, suitable surface-active substances are nonionic, cationic and / or anionic surfactants with good emulsifying, dispersing and wetting properties. Surfactants are also to be understood as mixtures of surfactants.
Suitable cationic surfactants are, for example, quaternary ammonium compounds, such as. B. Cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide. Suitable anionic surfactants are e.g. Soaps, salts of aliphatic monoesters of sulfuric acid or orthophosphoric acid, e.g. Sodium lauryl sulfate, salts of sulfonated aromatic compounds, such as. B. sodium and calcium dodecylbenzenesulfonate, sodium, calcium and ammonium ligninsulfonate, butylnaphthalenesulfonate and a mixture of the sodium salts of diisopropyl and triisopropylnaphthalenesulfonate and Na diisobutylnaphthalenesulfonate. Suitable nonionic surfactants are, for example, the condensation products of ethylene oxide with fatty alcohols, such as. As oleyl alcohol or cetyl alcohol, or with alkylphenols, such as. B. octylphenol, nonylphenol and octyl cresol.
Other non-ionic agents include partial esters derived from long-chain fatty acids and hexitan hydrides, the condensation products of these partial esters with ethylene oxide and lecithins.
The nonionic, anionic and cationic surfactants commonly used in formulation technology include: a. described in the following publication: Mc Cutcheon's Detergents and Emulsifiers Annual
MC Publishing Corp., Ringwood, New Jersey, 1979.
The formulated agents generally contain 0.1 to 99%, in particular 0.1 to 95%, active ingredient of the formula 1, 1 to 99.9% of a solid or liquid additive and 0 to 25%, in particular 0.1 to 25% of a surfactant.
While concentrated agents are preferred for the trade, diluted agents are usually used in practice.
The agents can also contain other additives such as stabilizers, defoamers, viscosity regulators, binders, adhesives and fertilizers or other active ingredients to achieve special effects.

Test for action on ticks: inhibition of oviposition
Soaked females of the Boophilus microplus cattle tick are used as test animals. 10 ticks of a resistant and a normally sensitive strain are treated per concentration. The ticks are immersed for a short time in aqueous emulsions or aqueous solutions of the salts of the compounds to be examined. They are fixed on sheets covered with double-sided tape and kept in an air-conditioned room under constant conditions. The evaluation takes place after three weeks.
The total inhibition of the storage of fertile eggs is determined.
The inhibitory activity of the compounds according to Example 1 was found to be fully effective even at low concentrations.
Example 5
Action against ticks A Rhipicephalus bursa
5 adult ticks and 50 tick larvae were counted in a glass tube and immersed for 1 to 2 minutes in 2 ml of an aqueous emulsion from a dilution series with 100, 10, 1 or 0.1 ppm test substance. The tube was then closed with a standardized cotton ball and turned upside down so that the active ingredient emulsion could be absorbed by the cotton wool.
The evaluation was carried out after 2 weeks for the adults and after 2 days for the larvae. There were 2 repetitions for each attempt.
