Fig. 5 ein Bewegungsdiagramm der Formstempel.

The present invention relates to a wave-forming device on a machine for producing a foldable flat packaging, in particular made of cardboard, from two blanks provided with incisions and perforations, in which one is waved before the two blanks are glued.
If, in known machines of the type described at the outset, a blank is provided with waves, this is done by stopping the blank in a discontinuous manner. The blank, which runs continuously through the machine, is guided into a wave-forming device and stopped. Depending on the number of shafts to be formed, the corresponding number of shaping dies is pressed onto the blank while the blank is standing, which is pressed by the shaping dies into a die plate provided with the corresponding recesses, the waves being embossed. Only after the waves have been stamped can the cutting be continued continuously.
Although a machine for producing a packaging works perfectly in the manner just described, because of the discontinuous wave embossing, it only has a low working speed, so that the number of packages produced per unit of time is also low. In the case of packaging for a mass object, this constitutes a serious disadvantage, since in such a case the large number of packages required per unit of time can only be produced on several identical machines. In this way, packaging can become so expensive that it falls out of the competition despite its excellent packaging properties.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a wave-forming device in order to increase the machine output, in which a blank is provided with waves in a continuous manner without stopping.
This object is achieved by the features claimed in claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the device result from claims 2 to 7.
An embodiment of the wave formation device according to the invention is explained in more detail with reference to the schematic drawing. Show it:
1 shows a section through a known device not according to the invention,
2 is a perspective view of a stamp plate of the device according to the invention, in the state removed from the machine,
3 shows a partial section III-III through the stamp plate of FIG. 2, on an enlarged scale and in the state installed in the machine,
Fig. 4 shows a section IV-IV through a guide block of Fig.3 and
Fig. 5 is a movement diagram of the form stamp.
1, a blank 1 made of cardboard is provided in a known manner, for example with five waves 2.1 to 2.5 and two half waves 2.6 and 2.7. The flat blank 1 is fed to a die plate 3 having the wave contour and stopped above it. Then the shaping dies 4.1 to 4.7, the contour of which corresponds to that of the die plate, taking into account the thickness of the blank 1, are lowered into the die plate 3, the shafts 2.1 to 2.7 being embossed. After lifting the punch 4.1 to 4.7, the blank 1 is continued.
With the help of the stamp plate 6 shown in Fig. 6, stopping the blank 1 can now be avoided in the wave embossing. The stamp plate 6 is opposite to that in the
Machine installed condition shown rotated around 1800.
The form stamps 4.1 to 4.7 corresponding to the form stamps in FIG. 1 are held in simplified illustrated guide blocks 5.1 to 5.7, which are arranged on the stamp plate 6. The lateral spacing of the form punches 4.1 to 4.7 from one another is the same as in FIG. 1, however, they are arranged in the longitudinal direction at the same distance A apart, first the form punch 4.1 alone and then the pairs 4.2 and 4.3,4.4 and 4.5,4.6 and 4.7 .
Each guide block 5.1 to 5.7 is connected to a crossbar 8 via a rod 7.1 to 7.7 of a longitudinal linkage 7.
Together with another crossbar 9 and two angle levers 10 and 11, this forms a parallelogram. The end of the angle lever 10 forms a scanning wheel 12.
Two longitudinal rails 13 and 14 are connected by links 15.1 to 15.4 with rods 16.1 to 16.4 of a crossbar 16. The rod 16.1 passes through the guide block 5.1, the rod 16.2 through the pair 5.2 and 5.3, the rod 16.3 through the pair 5.4 and 5.5 and the rod 16.4 through the pair 5.6 and 5.7. A scanning wheel 17 is attached to the end of the rail 14.
Fig. 3 shows the stamp plate 6 in the correct position in the installed state in the machine. The stamp plate 6 and the longitudinal rails 13 and 14 are horizontally displaceably mounted in the machine frame 18, which is only indicated. On a shaft 19 of the machine drive, two cams 20 and 21 are attached, which cooperate with the scanning wheels 12 and 17.
The guide blocks 5.1 to 5.7 are all constructed identically; for example, the guide block 5.2 (FIG. 4) consists of four columns 22.1 to 22.4 with a square cross section, which are connected in the middle to a cuboid 23 which bears the die 4.2. The columns 22.1 and 22.4 have two lugs 24 and 25, in which the rod 16.2 is rotatably held. Inside the columns 22.1 and 22.3 are arranged two guide cylinders 26.1 and 26.3 fastened in the stamp plate 6, while two tension springs 27.2 and 27.4 are fastened in the inside of the columns 22.2 and 22.4. The rod 7.2 is fastened in the cuboid 23. A die plate 3.1, which has the same shaft contour as the die plate 3 shown in FIG. 1, is fixedly arranged in the machine frame 18 under the form punches 4.1 to 4.7.
A rake 28 is also attached to the die plate 3.1, the fingers 28.1 to 28.7 of which extend in the middle of the corresponding shaft recesses to below the corresponding form stamps 4.1 to 4.7. The punch 4.1 to 4.7 are provided on one side in the middle with longitudinal slots 29.1 to 29.7, into which the ends of the fingers 28.1 to 28.7 fit.
The corrugated blank, together with a flat blank, is used to produce packaging that can be folded out to hold the packaging items.
So that the packaging takes up as little space as possible during transport to the packaging station, the shafts must be flattened again after the blanks have been glued. Due to the special final shape of the packaging, both flat blanks are already provided with incisions and perforations when delivered.
The machine for producing such a packaging is now designed in such a way that, during operation, the two different blanks are continuously fed to and through the work stations on different webs at the same distance from the same neighboring blanks at the same speed. The gluing of the two blanks and the further processing to the finished flat packaging is also carried out continuously at the same speed and at the same distance.
For this reason, during operation of the machine, the flat blanks, which must be provided with shafts, are always moved in and out at the same distance A from, for example, the leading edge of the cutting edge to the leading edge of the cutting device at the same speed by lateral supports, not shown, in the machine frame led them through. The form stamps 4.1.4.2 and 4.3.4.4 and 4.5.4.6 and 4.7 attached to the stamp plate 6 are also arranged at this distance A from one another, but this is not shown to scale in the drawing. While the blanks 1 move forward by the distance A, the drive shaft 19 together with the cam disks 20 and 21 makes exactly one revolution in the direction of the arrow 30.
When the cam 20 is turned, it controls the horizontal movement of the stamping plate 6 and the stamping dies 4.1 to 4.7 connected to it via the scanning wheel 12, the angle levers 10 and 11, the crossbar 8, the rods 7.1 to 7.7 and the cuboid 23 of the guide blocks 5.1 to 5.7 .
If the distance B between the drive shaft 19 and the scanning wheel 12 is reduced, the form punches 4.1 to 4.7 are moved in the direction of arrow 31 of the blanking pass, if it increases, the form punches 4.1 to 4.7 move in the opposite direction of arrow 31.
If the distance C between the drive shaft 19 and the scanning wheel 17 increases when the cam disc 21 is rotated, the longitudinal rails 13 and 14 are moved horizontally in the direction of the arrow 31; when the distance C is reduced, the longitudinal rails 13 and 14 become counter to the direction of the arrow 31 emotional. During the forward movement of the longitudinal rails 13 and 14 relative to the stamp plate 6, the tabs 15.1 to 15.4 press on the rods 16.1 to 16.4, the columns 22.1 to 22.4 of the guide blocks 5.1 to 5.7 are lifted off the stamp plate 6 and the mold stamps 4.1 to 4.7 downward lowered.
During the backward movement of the longitudinal rails 13 and 14 relative to the stamp plate 6, the tension springs 27.2 and 27.4 pull the columns 22.1 to 22.4 back onto the stamp plate 6 by lifting the form stamps 4.1 to 4.7. During lifting and lowering, those arranged in the columns 22.1 and 22.3 take over Guide cylinders 26.1 and 26.3 guide the vertical movement.
The cam disks 20 and 21 now have a very specific profile and are arranged such that they are offset from one another on the drive shaft 19 in such a way that when the same is rotated, the shaping dies 4.1 to 4.7 execute the movement cycle shown in FIG. 5. The horizontal movement is shown on the abscissa and the vertical movement of the form stamps 4.1 to 4.7 on the ordinate.
At 32, the stamps are in the highest position and drop to the blanks 1 on the way to 33.
The drive of the drive shaft 19 and the brackets which guide the blanks 1 is now coupled in such a way that at the moment of contact between the die and the blank, which have approximately the same length, there is a blank under each die. When the dies are lowered further into the lowest position at 33, in which each blank is pressed into the corresponding recess in the die plate 3.1, the waves are embossed. The blanks and stamps move forward at the same horizontal speed, which is also the case when the shafts are solidified in the press position from 33 to 34.
From 34 to 35, the form stamps rise from the die plate into the highest position with the horizontal movement simultaneously opposite to the cutting movement.
From 35 to 32, the form stamps only return to their starting point in the horizontal direction. The cams 20 and 21 work together in such a way that the distance B increases when the shaping stamps move back from 35 to 32, while the distance C decreases accordingly. In the forward movement of the form stamps from 33 to 34, it is exactly the other way round, a decrease in the distance B is offset by a corresponding increase in the distance C. When lowering and moving the mold stamp from 32 to 33, the distance C increases faster than the distance B decreases, so that the longitudinal rails 13 and 14 move forward relative to the stamp plate 6 and press the guide blocks with the mold stamps downwards.
When the stamps are lifted and moved backwards from 34 to 35, the distance C decreases faster than the distance B increases, so that the longitudinal rails 13 and 14 move backwards relative to the stamp plate 6 and the guide blocks with the stamps are lifted by the tension springs.
Because the punch and blanks move forward at the same horizontal speed at distance A, the waves can be formed continuously without stopping. If a straight blank is now provided with the central shaft 2.1 during a movement cycle of the form punch 4.1, it is pressed into the corresponding recess in the die plate 3.1 and moved horizontally forward. Before the form punch 4.1 makes the backward movement, it pushes with its longitudinal slot 29.1 over the end of the finger 28.1 of the rake 28, so that the central shaft 2.1 is finally continuously protected under this finger during the backward movement of the form punch 4.1 when the cut to the following form stamps 4.2 and 4.3 moved on.
While the punch 4.1 has made a movement cycle from one touch of the first blank to the touch of the next blank during one revolution of the drive shaft 19, the first blank has traveled exactly the distance A where it is gripped by the shaping dies 4.2 and 4.3. During the same revolution of the drive shaft 19, the shaping dies 4.2 and 4.3, 4.4 and 4.5, 4, 6 and 4.7 have undergone the same movement cycle and provided the blanks running at distance A before the first cut with the corresponding shafts. In the first cut, the shafts 2.2 and 2.3 are shaped by the shaping dies 4.2 and 4.3 in the next cycle, whereupon it is protected by the fingers 28.2 and 28.3, after covering the distance A, it is located under the shaping dies 4.4 and 4.5.
In the next cycle he is provided with waves 2.4 and 2.5 by these form stamps and after passing through the distance A from form stamps 4.6 and 4.7 in the next cycle with half waves 2.6 and 2.7, whereupon he is provided with the desired waves 2.1 to 2.7 for the gluing station is continued. When embossing the shafts during each cycle, the width of the blank is shortened somewhat. However, since it is guided in the width in the lateral brackets in the machine frame, the blanks run safely through the shaft-forming device in the longitudinal direction of the machine at the same speed and at the same intervals.
With the described wave forming device, the blanks can be provided with waves while they are continuously running through the machine at high speed, whereby the packaging production machine can achieve an astonishing productivity. The device is not limited to the described example with seven waves, since the number and shape of the waves can be varied as desired. Plastic or any other suitable material can also be used instead of the cardboard blank.
