Description

The present invention relates to the field of transporting liquids, in particular dangerous liquids, by means of containers on stackable pallets, and relates to such a container provided with a folded lattice protection device.

The currently existing pallet containers are either in the form of reusable containers or in the form of lost containers. In the first case, the container is generally a rigid pocket protected by a mechanically welded metal frame while, in the second case, the container is surrounded by a wooden protective box, or even by a sheet metal protection.

The containers protected by a metal frame allow storage by stacking and a good protection of the pocket, but are however of a cost price and a heavy weight. The wooden protective boxes do not, however, allow high stacking heights, and, in the case of sheet metal protection, the pocket is difficult to change, and the liquid level is difficult to read.

The present invention aims to overcome these drawbacks.

It has, in fact, for its object a container on a pallet constituted by a pallet on which is fixed a lattice frame obtained by folding a panel, the ends of said panel being assembled by welding or by means of hooks, or clamps, and by a waterproof pocket, equipped with filling and emptying bungs, the lattice frame having an opening cut out at the level of the emptying plug.

According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the lattice frame is constituted by movable panels connected together in the service position, and which can be folded over the pallet in the non-use position.

The invention will be better understood thanks to the description below, which relates to preferred embodiments, given by way of nonlimiting examples, and explained with reference to the appended schematic drawings, in which:

According to the invention, and as shown more particularly, by way of example, FIG. 1 of the accompanying drawings, the container on a pallet essentially consists of a pallet 1, on which a frame 2 of wire mesh is fixed, and by a sealed pocket 3, rigid or flexible, equipped with filling bungs 4 and emptying 5.

The frame 2 is advantageously produced by folding a panel, the ends of which are assembled by welding, or by means of hooks, clamps, or the like. This frame 2 has, at the drain plug 5, a cut-out opening 6 allowing access to this plug. As shown in fig. 2 and 3, the frame 2 can be fixed to the pallet 1 by means of clips 7 (fig. 2), or by means of lugs 8 screwed onto the pallet 1 (fig. 3).

The trellis forming the frame 2 is advantageously constituted by vertical wires whose diameter allows the stacking of several containers, and by horizontal wires connecting the vertical wires, of smaller diameter than the latter, and more spaced than these, so that the frame is relatively light and of a reduced cost price. This trellis is advantageously provided with an anti-corrosion protection by painting, by galvanization or other, and the vertical wires constituting it are cut flush with the last horizontal wires (fig. 2 to 4), so that the frame has a good seat on pallet 1 and facilitates stacking. In addition, to avoid any risk of injury during handling, or of damage to the bag 3, the upper perimeter of the frame 2 is covered with a U-shaped profile 9. Such a profile also surrounds the opening 6 intended for the drain 5.

According to another embodiment of the invention, shown in FIG. 5, the frame 2 ′ is constituted by four mobile panels 10 to 13 interconnected in the service position by means of hooks, clamps or the like, and which can be folded over the pallet 1 in the non-use position. Thus, the panels 11 and 12 can, for example, be connected to the panel 10 with the possibility of folding over the latter, and the panel 13 can be folded over the first so as to lock them. The transport of the pallet to the place of use can then be carried out with minimal bulk.

The sealed bag 3 is preferably made of rigid polyethylene, or a similar material, and is manufactured by extrusion and blowing in a mold, so that the bungs 4 and 5 can be obtained simultaneously. The filling plug 4 can be provided with a tamper-evident closure, and the drain plug 5 can be provided with a closure device with a cover enabling the full container to be transported with a simple stopper and to be fitted with a tap on the place of use. This plug 5 is also housed in a cell in the wall of the pocket, so as not to protrude from the frame 2, which thus protects it from shocks.

At its upper part, the pocket 3 is provided with handling rings 14 allowing easy installation in the frame 2.

When using such pockets, the walls of the frame 2 are provided with rigid panels of wood, or of another rigid material, in order to avoid deformation of the walls of the pocket through the meshes of the frame. Such rigid panels can also be placed on top of the bag 3.

Finally, the total height of the pocket 3 is advantageously slightly less than that of the frame, so that only the latter supports the load during stacking.

Thanks to the invention, it is possible to produce a container on a pallet which can be easily stacked, the pocket of which is quickly interchangeable and allows good visibility of the level of the content, and the cost price of which is similar or even lower than that of the containers. lost.
