Abstract

The combination yarn is produced by joint temporary uptwisting of at least one multifilament yarn and at least one monofilament by means of a false-twisting device and heat setting in the uptwisted state. Preferably, a multifilament yarn and a monofilament are twisted together to give a double thread of about 100 to 300 turns per metre. The combination yarn exhibits very high elasticity and good processability to give knitted and woven goods.
