Die Erfindung betrifft einen Fahrgastsitz, bestehend aus einer auf einem Sitzuntergestell angebrachten gepolsterten Sitzfläche und einem an die Sitzfläche anschliessenden, ebenfalls gepolsterten Rückenteil bei dem das Rückenteil gebildet ist aus einem haarnadelförmig gebogenen Rohrrahmen, einem in den Rohrrahmen eingesetzten Polster und einer Rohrrahmen und Polster umgebenden Verkleidung, wobei sowohl die Ausmasse der Sitzfläche wie auch diejenigen des Rückenteils den anatomischen Gegebenheiten eines sitzenden Fahrgastes mittlerer Grösse entsprechen. Das Rückenteil kann hierbei sowohl starr als auch verschwenkbar an der Sitzfläche angebracht sein. Tatsächlich zeigt es sich auch, dass die Hauptmasse derartiger Fahrgastsitze stets nahezu gleich sind. Die nach der Erfindung vorgesehene Normung, zumindest der Aussenmasse der Rückseite von Rückenteilen derartiger Fahrgastsitze ist damit keine Einschränkung bei der individuellen Gestaltung, sondern die konsequente Anwendung von Rationalisierungs-massnahmen. Sind aber jeweils die Aussenmasse der Rückseite derartiger Rückenteile festliegend, sind dies selbstverständlich auch die zu derartigen Rückenteilen führenden Bauelemente, wie der Rohrrahmen, das Polster und die Verkleidung. Eine Rückenplatte die vorzugsweise aus schlagfestem, zäh-elastischem Kunststoff gebildet ist, hält auch sehr hohen Anforderungen und auch vorsätzlichen Zerstörungsversuchen stand.
