Fig. 5 ein Detail der Fig. 3, etwas vergrössert.

PATENT CLAIMS 1. Fully insulated sheet metal housing for electricity meters, consisting of a lower housing part, an upper housing part, a connecting terminal and a terminal cover, characterized in that the lower housing part (1) together with the connecting terminal (2) protruding from the essentially rectangular housing shape is made in one piece from plastic and on its side walls (5) from the existing Ge sheet housing upper part (4), which has only one recess (6) for the connection terminal (2), is essentially completely enclosed.
2. Sheet metal housing according to claim 1, characterized in that the upper housing part (4) with its inner surfaces sealingly overlaps the outer surfaces of the lower housing part (1).
3. Sheet metal housing according to claim 1, characterized in that the upper housing part (4) has a shoulder (9) with which it seals on a front face of the lower housing part (1) attached seal (10).
4. Sheet metal housing according to claim 1, characterized in that a plastic film (14) which is completely or partially adapted to the inner contours of the upper housing part (4) is present in the upper housing part (4).
5. sheet metal housing according to claim 2 and 4, characterized in that the upper housing part (4) and the plastic film (14) overlap the outer surfaces of the lower housing part (1) sealing.
6. Sheet metal housing according to claims 3 and 4, characterized in that the plastic film (14) has the same paragraph (9) as the upper housing part (4) and seals (10) attached to the end face of the lower housing part (1).
7. Sheet metal housing according to claim 5 or 6, characterized in that the plastic film (14) adheres firmly to the inside of the upper housing part by prestressing or gluing.
Both sheet metal and insulating material housings are known for electricity meters. Sheet metal housings are robust and unbreakable and, if they are made of sheet steel, also very impact-resistant. Their disadvantage compared to a mechanically significantly less resistant plastic housing is the greater effort for the insulation and the higher tool costs.
The object of the invention is to create a fully insulated sheet metal housing of high stability that combines the advantages of both designs.
The invention is characterized in claim 1.
Some exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing:
Show it:
1 to 4 each a section through an embodiment, only a part of the section is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 and
Fig. 5 shows a detail of Fig. 3, somewhat enlarged.
In all figures, 1 means one made of plastic
Lower part of the housing with an integrally formed connecting terminal 2, which protrudes from one side over the essentially rectangular shape of the housing. The lower housing part can be attached to projections, not shown, on a wall 3 who the. An upper housing part 4 is used as the sheet metal housing, expediently made of sheet steel. This encloses the side walls 5 of the lower housing part 1 on all sides up to close to the
Wall 3 and only has a recess 6 which suitably encloses the connecting terminal 2. For additional sealing, the connecting terminal 2 can have a bead 7 formed on its three sides enclosed by the recess 6, on which at the same time a bulge only shown in FIG. 1 indicated
Terminal cover 8 supports.
In Figures 1 and 3, the outer surfaces of the
Lower housing part 1 overlapping inner surfaces of the upper housing part 4 halve the only seal between the two housings, while in FIGS. To generate the necessary pressure on the seal 10, and at the same time for firmly connecting the two housing parts, the housing seunterteil 1 has at least two locations on further projections 11, on which the upper housing part 1 on bent tabs
12 can be screwed tight with a sealing screw 13.
The structure described so far ensures full insulation of the upper housing part of live parts, but it does not yet achieve the protective insulation quality of a housing made entirely of plastic. Breaking or loose parts inside can at most put the metal upper housing part 4 under tension. This deficiency can be remedied if one in the upper housing part 4
Inner contours of the upper housing part 4 are present in whole or in part on a fitted plastic film 14. If this is transparent, then it does not require an additional opening for meter reading in the area of a window 15 of the upper housing part 4.
In Fig. 2, the plastic film 14 is only in the upper part of the upper housing part 4, penetrates a little bit into this when placing on the Ge lower housing part and thus ensures the protective insulation.
In Figures 3 and 4, the plastic film 14 covers the whole
Inner contour of the upper housing part 4. It overlaps in the case of the game of FIG. 3 together with the upper housing part 4, sealing the outer surfaces of the lower housing part 1. In order to be able to put on the upper housing part 4 well, the plastic film 14 encloses the lower edge 16 of the upper housing part 4, as shown in FIG. 5 is shown, and the lower housing part 1 has a bevel 17 on the outside (FIG. 3). In the example of Fig. 4, the plastic film 14 has the same paragraph 9 as the upper housing part 4 and seals on the front of the
Lower housing part 1 attached seal 10.
It is also advantageous if the plastic film 14 adheres firmly to the inside of the upper housing part 4 by pretensioning or gluing and no longer appears as an individual part when the upper housing part is removed, but rather forms a unit together with the upper housing part. As an individual part, there is a risk that its use could be forgotten during a revision.
