8. Separating device according to claim 1, characterized in that the suction opening (8B) is adjustable.
The present invention relates to a separating device for sorting fruits and impurities which are moved in an air-flow channel.
The known simple devices for sorting fruit moving in an air flow, for example a sieve being arranged transversely to the air flow, are susceptible to faults with regard to dirt which reduce the air permeability of the sieve. Other devices are complex and unsuitable for certain types of fruit.
The invention has for its object to provide a separating device which is insensitive to contamination and simple and works gently for the fruits.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that a circumferential, sieve-like collecting device is arranged transversely to the air flow in the duct, and that an outlet opening is provided in front of the collecting device on the underside of the duct and a suction opening downstream of the collecting device.
According to a preferred embodiment, the collecting device can be an endless, flexible grid running around a drive roller and a deflecting roller, or it can consist of individual connected chain links.
The endlessly circulating, air-permeable collecting device is preferably made of metal, rubber, plastic or textile material.
It is expedient that the suction opening for the suction of the lighter impurities conveyed along with the sorted out fruits is designed to be adjustable back into the channel.
In the following an embodiment of the invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
It shows:
Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through a separating device according to the invention and
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a collecting device of the separating device.
The separating device shown in both figures consists of two rollers 1A, 1B, one of which acts as a drive roller 1A and the other as a deflection roller 1B, over which an endlessly rotating sieve-like collecting device 2 runs and is arranged in such a way in an air flow 5 which promotes fruit 3 and impurities 4 is that the fruits 3 are caught up to a certain size and are conveyed out of a channel 6 by means of the air-permeable collecting device 2, while dirt particles, leaves and minor impurities are conveyed further by the air flow through the collecting device 2. As soon as the fruits 3 are conveyed out of the air stream 5 by the collecting device 2, they fall through the outlet opening 8A arranged in the channel 6 by their own weight into a collecting container 9 or onto a conveyor belt 7.
A suction effect prevails in a suction opening 8B provided downstream of the collecting device 2. As a result of this suction effect caused by the air flow 5 in the channel 6, the impurities 4, which are lighter than the fruits 3, are conveyed back into the air flow 5 through the adjustable suction opening 8B. At the same time, the air-permeable collecting device 2 on the downstream side of the collecting device 2 is additionally cleaned by the air flow 5.
With this device it is possible to sort out different types of fruit, in particular root crops, from the air flow and at the same time to separate them from impurities.
