REVENDICATIONS

CLAIMS
1. Articulated bracelet, in particular for a watch, composed of a series of links provided with tubular elements which overlap and which, associated with connecting means, form a hinge, characterized in that, for each of the links (1) , said means consist of two pivots (8) linked by a spring (125 and mounted in a tube (4) integral with a first link, the pivots being pressed against parts (10) of two tubular elements (5) integral of the following link and arranged at the ends of said tube (4).
2. Hinged bracelet according to claim 1, characterized in that each link comprises two semi-circular clearances (2, 3) in which the tube (4) and the tubular elements (5) are fixed respectively, so as not to exceed the bottom (6) of the link (1).
3. Hinged bracelet according to claim 1, characterized in that the spring (12) is guided by a bearing (11) of the pivots (8) on which it is forced.
4. Hinged bracelet according to claim 3, characterized in that the part (10) forming a stop in the tubular element (5) is formed by the separation surface between two holes (7 and 9) of said tubular element.
5. Hinged strap according to claim 3, characterized in that the pivot (8) has an outer surface with a diameter corresponding to the single bore of the tubular element and in that the stop is formed by the separation surface between the bore of the tube (4) and the bore of smaller diameter of the tubular element (5).
The present invention relates to an articulated bracelet, in particular for a watch, composed of a series of links provided with tubular elements which overlap and which, associated with connecting means, form a hinge. It is in particular a very thin bracelet.
Such a bracelet is known, for example, from Swiss patent N 602037, which comprises two pins housed in two tubular elements, one of the links being pushed by a spring bar into two tubular elements of the following link. In this embodiment, not only is the spring bar visible, but the joint has four separation lines. It is an object of the present invention to avoid this drawback and to improve the aesthetic appearance of the joint.
It is conceivable, to achieve this goal, to simply weld a spring bar to one side of the link, but it is obvious that the welding process envisaged for such a process would have the consequence of destroying the quality of the spring, and another goal of the present invention is to provide an articulated bracelet which, in addition, allows simple and economical manufacture.
This object is achieved by an articulated bracelet described in claim 1.
In what follows, an embodiment of the invention is described in detail with reference to the drawing in which:
fig. 1 is a perspective view of several assembled links, and
fig. 2 shows, in a section II-II of FIG. 1, the detail of the link connecting means.
The links shown in fig. 1 are formed by a section of profile 1, comprising two semi-circular clearances 2 and 3.
On one side of the link, in the clearance 2, a tube 4 is brazed, while, in the other clearance 3, two tubular elements 5 are brazed, arranged at the two ends of the link and of the tube 4 (see fig. 2 ). The dimensions are chosen in such a way that the tubes 4 and the tubular elements 5 do not exceed the bottom 6 of the link.
Fig. 2 shows the assembly of the connecting means. The tubular elements 5, arranged outside the tube 4, are drilled with two different diameters: one, 7, corresponds to that of the pivot 8 and the other, 9, is of smaller diameter, so that the end of a pivot 8 abuts against the separation surface 10 of the two holes. The pivot 8 has a surface 11 on which the spring 12 is forced. It is obvious that the inside diameter of the tube 4 corresponds to that of the pivot and that the outside diameter of the tube corresponds to the outside diameter of the tubular elements.
The length of the pivots 8 and the position of the stop 10 are chosen in such a way that the two pivots can be pushed completely into the tube 4.
The assembly is simple: after welding of the tube and the tubular elements, the assembly constituted by the spring 12 forced at each of its ends on the surface 11 of the pivots 8 is introduced and, by compressing the two pivots, so as to fit into the tube 4, the tube of the first link is placed between the tubular elements of the next link and the pivots 8 engage in the tubular elements 5, the spring pressing the pivots against the stop 10.
To separate two links, the nozzles of a tool are introduced into the holes 9 and the two pivots 8 are compressed, which makes it possible to extract the link with the tube 4.
It is obvious that the connecting device between two links which has just been described can be applied without difficulty to connect the ends of a bracelet to a case.
Instead of forming the stop 10 inside the tubular element 5> it is possible to drill a hole with a single diameter smaller than that of the tube 4, so that the separation surface, the stop, is between the tube and the tubular element. This requires forming an outer bearing surface on the pivot 8 with a length approximately equal to half of the pivot part according to FIG. 2.
