Abstract

The suspension comprises a bell crank (10), pivoting about a pin (13) on either side of a mean position in which its branch (11) intended to carry the wheel is substantially horizontal. The pivoting of the crank (10) compresses or relaxes a calibrated spring (23). The end (25) of a damper cylinder (24) moves with the crank (10), thereby damping its oscillations. The pin (13) of the crank (10) is supported by a clevis (18) securely fastened to a support box-structure (7) intended to be fastened under the chassis of the trailer. By virtue of this arrangement, the suspension is independent of the chassis of the trailer and capable of being attached under any type of chassis. <IMAGE>
